We came here for dinner, drawn by the excellent reviews, and I must say we were not disappointed! The pappa al pomodoro was truly delicious. Then, the homemade pappardelle with Chianina beef ragù, excellent! Of course, with homemade bread to mop up the sauce. But the real highlight is the meat: a wide variety of steaks and expert advice. Cooked perfectly! Friendly and professional service! If you're passing through, a stop is a must!

A place I discovered on a recommendation: it was a real treat. From the premium cuts of meat with varying degrees of aging to the typically Tuscan appetizers and first courses, everything was excellent. Good value for money.

This is my second visit, and it's become a regular stop every time I come to Pisa. The welcome is very warm and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The products are of the highest quality, many of which are locally sourced, like their bread and its turmeric variant, the melt-in-the-mouth cured meats, and all the side dishes. The meat is of the highest quality, allowing you to experience tastes and flavors from every corner of the globe. Of course, the wine, desserts, and liqueurs are also available, so much so that further comment would be superfluous. What can I say? It's a place where I felt at home even though I'm hundreds of kilometers away. The owner is a wonderful person, both for his culinary knowledge and his empathy and kindness, which in my case culminated in a gift from him: his first apron. I'll return whenever I can and recommend it to everyone.

Dinner with friends. A casual, clean, and welcoming place. The owner is very knowledgeable about the cuts of meat. The menu is full of traditional Tuscan dishes, all perfectly executed with top-quality ingredients. The highlight is the meats, all of the highest quality, aged and cooked with great skill. Excellent value for money. Definitely an experience worth repeating. Personally, I want to compliment the entire staff; they make you feel at home.

I swear this place is not top notch but it is super, the meat and wine are too good but the laurel liqueur they make is absurd, highly recommended also because they are down to earth and very kind people, you will have a good time, I will return!!!!!

EXCEPTIONAL. WARM. MEMORABLE. An absolute gem just outside Pisa. This is a true family-run restaurant where the hospitality stands out immediately. We arrived earlier than opening without realizing it, and instead of turning us away, Carlo welcomed us in so we could warm up. That level of care set the tone for the entire experience. The food was outstanding. The bistecca alla fiorentina was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. The pappa al pomodoro was rich, comforting, and clearly made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The homemade pasta—made by Carlo’s wife—was exceptional and crafted with real care. Gabby, their son, brought great humor and energy, making the whole experience feel personal and fun. And the dessert… absolutely amazing and the perfect finish. If you’re looking for authentic Tuscan food, great steak, and genuine hospitality, this place delivers. Highly recommend.

Friendly staff and clean place. We ordered several dishes, all varied and delicious. The meat was tender and flavorful, and the wine was pleasant. The room temperature was a little warm, but not uncomfortable.

16/02/2026: My father, brother, and I went for lunch. We were pleasantly surprised by the selection of "supersonic" steaks, excellent meats. The owner even came out to present the cut of meat we requested: Chianina fillet and medium-aged steak with a good amount of fat. It was amazing! 😋. We drank a bottle of house wine, which wasn't bad. A wonderful surprise and experience. We must return to the area. We'll definitely return to this splendid "temple of cigarettes."

07/04/2026: The pirates' lair is jealously guarded by the predators of taste, ready to set sail on new sensory forays. The unwary traveler who sadly approaches the food and fails to recognize the indelible insignia risks getting lost in this Babel of conviviality. The signs are evident, overlapping, and displayed like trophies. Captain Blackbeard's philosophy is clear in its intent and purpose, conveyed by the crew with a Picard-like air as they welcome customers onto the ship with the skull and crossbones. The dim light and the indelible "signs" of those who preceded us facilitate entry into the shop's gustatory knowledge. The tender cured meats gathered on the plate forge a pact of loyalty: first, the fresh prosciutto opens the taste buds to the assault of the more concentrated cured meats and delicate pancettas, which, mindful of their origins, melt at the arrival of the second wave of flavor. In their straw-yellow white suits, complex cheeses arrive, such as the proud pecorino and spicy gorgonzola, veined in their own style, while, freed from shame, the bloomy rinds hide behind the timid parmesan. While awaiting the next assault on the palates of those present, rivers of joyful wine soothe the mood until the arrival of the first courses filled with rich sausages related to light cream or solitary salmon. The tagliata arrive urgently, raw in the rush and flavored with a few random herbs so as not to be completely naked. Rich mascarpone creams, buttery and composed with crunchy fans necessary to hide the intimate grain enclosed within, awaken and cover the raw sensations. After the meal, the brigade gathers in a disorderly fashion to bid farewell and plan the next melee attack.
