11/04/2026: I went to Baciollo for an aperitif at the bar. The staff were very friendly, especially Nicola, who runs the place, and the rest of the staff were top notch. Afterwards, I ordered a tub of gelato to take home. It was excellent! The girls and the guy recommended flavors, which were very helpful. I highly recommend a visit.

For the evening, with drinks and dishes prepared by Nicola, you're on the safe side.

Japanese people often eat the nutritious crust around the eye of grilled tuna, but I was surprised to find that there's an ingredient that tastes exactly the same.
I recommend eating it on a baguette. 🥖
The tripe has a warming cabbage broth flavor.
The vitello tonnato is a classic, loved by people of all ages.
Their cute touch, like bringing the bill in a candy tin, is so Italian. 👏👏👏
Barbera d'Asti was 8€ a bottle.
I'm so jealous of the people who can enjoy such delicious wine for this price.
Please note that there are time limits on busy days. If it's not too busy, you might be able to stay seated.

22/03/2026: I stayed and dined at POLISENA L'Altro Agriturismo and can only describe it as absolutely excellent. The property is beautiful, lovingly cared for down to the smallest detail; the atmosphere is warm, enveloping, and made even more magical by the refined jazz background that pleasantly accompanies our stay.
The real highlight, however, is the cuisine. As a vegan for seven years, I can say with certainty that I have rarely encountered such attention and sensitivity: Chef Locatelli is a true artist, capable of transforming quality raw ingredients into authentic culinary masterpieces.
The proof? My partner, who is not vegan, was literally amazed: he had to change his mind dish after dish, won over by the intense and creative flavors.
I highly recommend POLISENA L'Altro Agriturismo to anyone looking for a regenerating weekend escape or even just an unforgettable dinner. A place where ethics meets haute cuisine.

26/03/2026: A nice place, spacious, clean, and bright. The waiter, perhaps the owner, was truly excellent at serving us. We were served quickly with a seafood first course, risotto with cicada, razor clams, and other ingredients. I had spaghetti with cod and cruschi peppers, topped with chili pepper and breadcrumbs, of course, very good. The second course, local sausage, wasn't exactly thrilling because Calabrian sausage has a distinctive flavor, dictated by the fennel and other herbs. But if you're passing through, it could be a great stop.

03/03/2026: When there's no free table inside, you can sit outside, sheltered by a veranda, and you'll be treated with all the attention.
A restaurant with a good menu, combining pleasant flavors and traditional local flavors, and a good red wine that warms your stomach and helps you absorb the dishes served.
The service is polite, courteous, and efficient, the bill is fair. Well done, we'll definitely return to try the witch's soup.
22/02/2026: Yesterday we had lunch at this trattoria; we couldn't have made a better choice! For starters, a lovely platter of game cured meats, each one better than the last. The bruschetta with pecorino cheese, honey, and coffee was a wonderful surprise! The first courses were truly magical: the wild boar ragù was truly fantastic, and the maltagliati with porcini mushrooms and sausage was a real treat! For the main course, a pork stew with wine that melted in your mouth. Kudos to all the staff, and a special thank you from our dog, too.

04/04/2026: The food and atmosphere of the bar and restaurant in the square of this small, quiet village are really good. It would have been a full 5-star if it hadn't had the prices of foreign customers, or if the dishes had been a little more abundant to justify the price. Especially the octopus on chickpea cream is really good, but €25 for two tentacles (considering how big they are) is really too much. Spritz €7 with olives and chips, the second courses are all €25. The price in general is really a bit too high, unfortunately I think it's due to the area being frequented mostly by foreigners, but... we're here too... so if you want to spend a little, the food is worth it.

14/01/2026: A small but well-kept and welcoming place, it really gives off a Mexican vibe.
The food surprised us with the quality of the ingredients and the deliciousness. The pulled pork sandwich was superb, mouth-watering and made us understand why it's a hit. The nachos, crispy tortilla, vegetarian chilaquiles, and finally the artisanal desserts were excellent.
We'll definitely be back 🐒❤️

26/12/2025: I do not recommend this restaurant. The staff is rude (I was told that the waitress might not be well, so if she's not well she treats the customers badly, which is an absurd excuse). They're not equipped for children (they don't have a changing table, I had to change her diaper there while we ate), and the high chair was broken, I had to hold her. The food isn't bad, but the desserts aren't their strong point. The Christmas lunch menu cost €65, which was fine, but they wanted to charge a little girl who only ate a plate of clams €65. I understand that it's the Christmas menu, but humanely charging €65 to a little girl who didn't eat anything seems excessive. We reported it, and luckily they charged less, but the owner there treated us rudely, telling us we should be ashamed. In short, terrible service. I'd like them to think about one thing: there were 16 of us and we all complained. Maybe if I were them, I'd ask myself a few questions. Learn to work with customers because they're the ones who bring you money. A word of advice!
