04/07/2025: A bar ideally located on a quiet, pedestrianized square. We enjoyed some excellent cocktails, accompanied by an aperitif included in the price of the drink.

21/05/2025: I review the restaurant. We went to Marsupino to celebrate a special event and we had a great time. We chose a truly excellent tasting menu, accompanied by excellent local wines and also by a very popular Sicilian label. Each dish was taken care of in detail, well presented and with an impeccable taste. The ravioli with nettles and the nougat semifreddo were delicious. The service was very kind: they welcomed us with a smile and made us feel truly at home. The place is elegant, refined and perfect for special occasions. It was a beautiful evening, compliments to all the staff! We will definitely be back.

29/04/2025: Monday in Alba and the best clubs in the city closed. About 40 minutes from the capital of the Langhe, in the midst of hills of vines and hazelnut groves, a tiny, well-kept village at the center of which is this structure which has been dedicated to the refreshment of travellers, since 1901. The restaurant is mentioned by the red Michelin, but still has no star. Without a reservation we are warmly welcomed and seated in a room with a few tables and, given the time, we leave the chef and the sommelier free rein to let us discover their delicacies. A succession of 6 well-harmonised courses of local dishes served gracefully by the attentive dining room staff. Cost below expectations and could easily aspire to a star. Definitely worth returning, perhaps in autumn for the wine and the famous tuber of the area. Well done!!

22/06/2025: My business associate and I stayed at the Hotel Osteria della Pista in late June. We had a very nice experience! First, they have their own shuttle van service to MXP, which was very handy. We had a day off and their shuttle driver took us to and picked us up from MXP so we could take the express train into Milan. In Milan, we went to the Leonardo da Vinci Museum, which we highly recommend. In addition to being a nice hotel, they have an outstanding restaurant, which we also highly recommend! Everyone was very nice and fluent in English. During the trip, we also explored several restaurants near the hotel and had wonderful meals. Some of the smaller restaurants did not speak much English, but there were no problems, and we had wonderful dishes. Of note was the Sempione Hotel Ristorante, which is owned by the same family as the Osteria della Pista. We found the shuttle van driver to be exceptionally friendly and helpful. Next time we are in town, this will be our go to!

15/06/2025: Quiet place on Lake Como. As a restaurant it is very touristy with high prices. A Margherita costs 8.50 euros and it is not exactly the best pizza I have eaten in my life. There is the possibility of taking desserts too... but only the possibility, because a tiramisu costs more than a Margherita!

12/06/2025: We had a fantastic Lake Como trip the summer of 2024! One of the great finds was the Rodrigo Ristorante Pizzeria. Our youngest daughter has celiac, so finding places that have both gluten free options and take precautions to not cross-contaminate can be difficult. She enjoyed pasta one night and pizza another night, and the owner took photos to show the pizza in a separate pan. He was amazing and really cared about our daughter to make sure everything was done right. All the food was great and the service was outstanding! Please stop by if you're near the Grand Hotel Tremezzo.

08/06/2025: Pub Skala, which is only a pub in name, is actually an authentic Slovenian tavern hidden in the small village of Gropada, on the border between Italy and Slovenia. The streets here are so narrow that you can barely get through with a small car, and it really feels like you're in the middle of nowhere. Yet, this place offers a unique experience. Here you can find good German beer, which is rare in the area, and at more than fair prices. Finally you can taste some real original German Hell and Bock! But it's not just the beer that makes the difference: the cuisine offers traditional dishes such as jota, a dish loved in these parts, which ranges from Istria to the Slovenian Karst to Trieste. A tip not to be underestimated: add 4-5 tablespoons of Cabernet or even better Teran to your jota and drink the rest of the bottle. I guarantee that that day will remain etched in your memory. The pork shank with polenta is a real treat, as is the hamburger, ham and mushroom sandwich. And to top it off, the palačinke with white chocolate and strawberries are the perfect finale. If the wine and beer haven’t already made your eyelids droop, these will surely send you into a sweet slumber.

02/07/2025: I think my family and I visited the restaurant at 3pm, which is siesta time in Italy. The restaurant was empty, we were basically the only ones there. The staff's attitude wasn't bad, but compared to the attitude in other restaurants we visited, we didn't feel that welcome and in the center of attention. I understand that it was probably the time, but I recommend having the restaurant closed during siesta, so that your staff can also have enough rest and can fully devote themselves to the guests. The food was average except for my wife's homemade spaghetti and tiramisu - both were really fantastic. Negative - we had to ask for pizza twice, because the first time they forgot to bring it to us, we thought it would take longer to prepare but they obviously forgot to order. Atmosphere - the restaurant is really empty at this time and you don't feel that good. The evening atmosphere looked great, we often walked by.

01/07/2025: Even though we went on a very crowded night, they served us in a very short time, then they offered us an appetizer with bruschetta, tomato sauce and some herbs. We ordered 2 pizzas, the ingredients were abundant, delicious and of quality. Very luxurious location.

24/06/2025: I went there with some colleagues during a business trip. The food is of the highest quality, but what stands out is the staff. They have already invented starred chefs, but when they also invent starred waiters, you will find them all there. Go there. I will definitely go back.
