18/01/2026: I found it by chance after reading the reviews and looking at the photos of the dishes. This time, let's start with the things I didn't like the most: the lighting in the restaurant was disappointing, with ineffective lights. The space is also a little cramped, but it's manageable. From here on out, only positive things. The menu isn't overwhelming, so you can't get lost. There are 5-6 choices for each course, traditional Ferrara dishes and a few different options, including meat, fish, and vegetarian options. I tried the creamed cod with chickpea cream, pumpkin tortelli, and salami for sauce. Not much to say, the dishes were good and well-prepared (perhaps I would have preferred the ragù for the tortelli to be different: the pieces of meat were large and the sauce a little runny, but that's a minor detail). Special mention for the service! The waiters were kind and attentive, smiling and pleasant, and they also gave us effective advice. Truly excellent. If I were to return to Ferrara, I would definitely return here.

08/03/2026: It seemed like a tourist trap. Spaghetti carbonara served with pancetta instead of guanciale. The pizza is good, but the prices are high for the quality. The service is average.

12/12/2025: For a dear friend's birthday, we were fortunate enough to dine at this wonderful restaurant. The setting is refined, impeccably clean, and meticulously maintained. The atmosphere is magical, accompanied by light, relaxing background music. The impeccable welcome is evident from the moment you enter: the entire staff, without exception, is extremely kind, knowledgeable, and attentive to every guest's needs. The cuisine literally blew us away: a wide-ranging and well-balanced selection of seafood and meat, using the highest-quality ingredients. We chose the Hearts Tasting Menu, which proved to be a sublime experience from appetizer to dessert. I highly recommend their signature dish, Bavette sul pesce, which is simply extraordinary. The wine list is also noteworthy, with a truly excellent selection. Special thanks to Matteo for his valuable and timely advice on choosing wines, and to Chiara, who made us feel right at home. I have no negatives to report: the Lorenzo Restaurant in Forte dei Marmi is an institution and fully deserves its fame.

17/02/2026: The "Papaveri e Papere" restaurant is located in the San Miniato district, just outside the town center. Last Sunday, we were guests at this location. We enjoyed a meat-based tasting menu for lunch; the dishes were expertly plated with quality ingredients and beautifully presented in a captivating color palette. A wide array of courses, masterfully prepared by the chef, helped create an ideal, relaxing atmosphere. The sommelier in charge recommended an excellent local wine pairing: the 100% Sanforte, and it was a perfect choice. All the staff were kind, empathetic, professional, and prompt, demonstrating a marked and meticulous "customer focus." The atmosphere was very refined, and the restaurant also has ample parking. The price was more than fair, considering the quality and quantity. I highly recommend this restaurant.

11/02/2026: The restaurant is located on the outskirts of San Miniato Alto, with a beautiful hilly backdrop. The service is punctual, precise, and friendly: the waiters know the dishes well and are able to offer advice. The atmosphere is elegant, understated without being overbearing, and therefore particularly comfortable. Parking is available both in the parking lot in front and behind the restaurant, where there is also a small green space for children to play. The culinary offering, based on traditional flavors, is intuitive but not at all banal, and the dishes are a blend of well-balanced flavors. The menu is varied and includes meats such as lamb, ossobuco, wild boar, and even a few fish options. The truffle dishes are what makes the restaurant feel connected to its local area and contribute to its unique character. The quality/price ratio is truly excellent, considering the raw materials, the service, and the ambiance. The wine list is also good, with dedicated staff available to help you pair food and wine.

21/03/2026: Happy Days Bar in Cividale: A Chance Discovery That Doesn't Disappoint ​Sometimes the best places are found by chance, and that's exactly what happened to me today at Happy Days in Cividale. Those who know me know that I'm not easily satisfied and that I like to analyze each place to uncover its main anomalies. Well, this time the surprise was entirely positive. ​Dish Analysis: Fried Chicken Sandwich ​Since it was my first time here, the fried chicken sandwich was my test. Verdict? Very good, in fact, above average. ​The Crunch Anomaly: Fried food is often a mystery in these pubs, but here the crispiness on the outside is incredible. The special thing (the anomaly I always look for) is that, despite the fried food, the chicken inside remained juicy and flavorful. That's not something you'll ever expect. ​Total Satisfaction: It's a complete sandwich. It's not the usual bland fare that leaves you with a pit in your stomach: here, there's substance, there's structure, and every bite gives you the satisfaction you seek in a well-made treat. ​The Atmosphere and Service ​The place has that authentic pub feel that I like: no frills and lots of practicality. The staff is smart and fast, which makes the experience even more enjoyable, especially when you enter a new place and want to immediately understand what they're made of. ​The Final Verdict ​Finding a place like this by chance was a stroke of luck. Happy Days passes the test the first time with excellent marks. It's the ideal choice for those seeking quality and quantity in a relaxed atmosphere. If you're in Cividale and want a sandwich that really does its job, this is the place. ​My advice: Don't be fooled by the simple appearance. Go straight for the fried chicken sandwich: it's the positive anomaly that will have you coming back a second time.

20/02/2026: Passing through Sirmione, we looked online for a place outside the center. We liked the name, the photos, and the encouraging reviews, so we went there, which turned out to be intimate, cozy, and with great customer service. We loved the artichoke and potato tart on a bed of local cheeses. We'll definitely be returning to this place.
