04/05/2026: The place is elegant, very sophisticated: perhaps you're in Paris, perhaps in the 1930s. But the owner's welcome is so warm and friendly that you immediately feel at home. The quality of the ingredients is excellent, the combinations are unusual but spot-on, and the presentation is meticulous: the best locally sourced produce, even the "cart" of aromatic plants, all strictly potted!

10/05/2026: Called in for two glasses of wine.... added to the bill was 5 euro service charge apparently legal in Sicily! Scandalous and highly recommend avoiding the place to avoid being ripped off 😟 As a matter of fact no other bar or restaurant have applied this tax during our stay!!

07/04/2026: For the meal you see in the picture: a small pasta, a small salad, some bread, a glass of wine and a digestif - I paid almost €50. Nothing in the qaulity of the food justified such a rip-off. With so many other great options in the area, you can easily find a better meal at a much better price. I'm not surprised there were only tourists in the restaurant at peak hour, and not a single Italian - and that the place was half-empty.

29/03/2026: Excellent experience: Welcome, with a welcome glass of prosecco and a savory wafer. Fast, attentive, professional, and very kind service. Truly good food. My wife ordered the Bronte pizza, about €14; it has a very light, flaky dough and excellent toppings, in addition to the generous portion. I ordered the fish appetizer for myself; for €22, you can satisfy your hunger, delighting in a delicious pepper caponata, a trio of marinated fish, a selection of fried small fish (very fresh), octopus salad, peppered mussels, and two anchovies (I would have preferred some marinated anchovies). Good crusty bread; as soon as the first basket was finished, the waiter immediately brought a second without me having time to ask. A 750 ml bottle of still water and a 33 cl Strait beer. Finally, a warm chocolate heart for my wife and a mandarin sorbet for me. All this for €57, including €2.80 per person for the cover charge. (A little high, but still satisfying.) An experience to repeat!

06/05/2026: Fantastic dinner, a hearty and amazing first course, and the fried calamari was excellent and easy to digest. If I ever return to Trapani, I'll definitely go there.

04/05/2026: Great local atmosphere, the food was delicious, and the service was excellent! We didn't have to wait because we arrived early. They gave us dish recommendations, which was much appreciated; the pasta with shrimp and pistachios was amazing!

11/04/2026: We found it by chance. It was packed. We asked for a table for two and they found us a small table in 10 minutes. The food was super fast and delicious. The pizzas were made with all-natural ingredients and the mussels were amazing. The service was very friendly. Prices are cheap compared to other restaurants in the area. 100% recommended.

02/05/2026: The waiter was super friendly, the food was exceptional, and they've changed the restaurant's decor, which is much more elegant! Don't bother queuing for another restaurant further away, because this one is better :)

02/05/2026: After several days in Taormina, we ate at four restaurants, and this was by far the best I've had, along with Mama Rosa's restaurant. We had a fantastic evening! The pistachio and guanciale pasta was exceptional! Don't bother going to Don Nino's tavern a little further down; it's not quite as good as here at La Grotta Azzura. Thank you so much to the whole team at La Grotta Azzura!!

10/05/2026: A good-quality restaurant with a varied, though not particularly extensive, menu. The clientele is certainly not popular, with prices correspondingly in line.

28/04/2026: The goulash was excellent, although a bit too spicy. The pizza was decent. The dishes from the cantinaccia were good. The only complaint... the excessive and very strong smell of truffle in the room.

02/05/2026: The best restaurant in Taormina, with exceptionally friendly service, a homey atmosphere, delicious food, and fresh fish—not so easy to find on this island. We're going back tomorrow. Plus, the view of Mount Etna—wonderful! I hope there are more places like this!
