02/05/2026: Baglio Himera is a beautiful place. I consider it "Sicilian-style," meaning it respects its Sicilian origins, what makes us Sicilians special. The food is delicious; I had the pasta with pistachios, cream, and shrimp, which you must try here—delicious!—and the fried seafood was even better. The service is good, and the staff is kind and courteous. The atmosphere is beautiful, decorated in Sicilian tradition, well-maintained, and spacious, with plenty of seating. Highly recommended for a birthday party. In short, the place is perfect... highly recommended.

14/04/2026: I ordered a gluten-free pizza after several recommendations from my daughter and acquaintances, who described it as "spectacular." I was skeptical, so to make my daughter happy, I ordered it. Well, we've been celiac for over a decade, and we've realized that until now, all we've been given is rubbish (I travel a lot and to many parts of Italy). The dough is leavened divinely. Soft yet crispy in the right places. Excellent toppings. I hope to return to Messina soon with my son (who also has celiac disease) to make him eat it!!! I can't imagine how good the one with wheat would be. But ours... nothing to envy!!!! P.S.: I'm not a relative; I live 450km away. Daniela Terzoli

02/10/2025: I was curious about this pub, so I walked over there. It's a beautiful pub. It's atmospherically decorated, and the ceilings are awesome. Friendly staff, and plenty of good beers and ales on tap.

26/01/2026: Great little restaurant; street parking that wasn't difficult to find on a Friday night in January. Staff speaks English. There is a small, open kitchen with a woodfire pizza oven, and the pizza menu is extensive. My husband's swordfish wasn't fresh, but he didn't seem to mind. Storm Henry hit earlier in the week and the local fisherman were still probably recovering. We were looking for a restaurant that wasn't in Catania downtown and Valentino's fit the bill. Sigonella folks: this is a great place to go with a larger group. Atmosphere scored low because of the fluorescent lighting - does nothing for dining ambiance.

10/04/2026: It might be hit and miss. Our food was not good. Irish stew and veal tourine. Seemed to be the same dish upside down, same meat and the potatoes seemed like instant. No flavor gravy.

16/04/2026: We had the restaurant recommended to us so we gave it a try. It was disappointing on many fronts. The appetizer that was a sampling of items was poor in many respects, the most import of which was that it just was not the quality and the flavors that we’ve had from other similar dishes at other restaurants in the area. After the appetizer, my husband had a pasta with mixed shellfish, and I had a risotto dish with shrimp. That course was fine, but nothing remarkable. The staff was attentive, they spoke some English, however, were dressed like they came from a casual outing with friends. It was acceptable for our quick casual dinner, but not a place we would return to.

05/05/2026: Strolling through the streets of Ortigia, we stopped for lunch at this restaurant; modern in style, very clean. Attentive staff and truly good food!

28/11/2025: Beautiful setting and super romantic. Food was delicious and staff were lovely. Portions are small so marked down for that in terms of value for money. Marked down on service as was charged an additional €30 for a bottle of wine we did not order. Did not notice until we got back to the hotel as we were in a rush to pay because it started to rain and we were outside! With that being said I would go again, without the kids and make sure I check the bill properly next time! The outdoor terrace is truly stunning.

23/10/2025: This restaurant may as well be one of the best places I’ve ever had dinner. We found it online and decided to check it out spontaneously, and just wow. The garden is beautiful, with several citrus trees. Super romantic atmosphere. All the staff has specific roles, so the sommelier only does take wine orders, the waitresses only bring food and take away empty plates or refill empty glasses and there are separate people for taking food orders or bringing out the bill. Although it might feel a bit slow (reading some of the other comments), there definitely is a system in place that works well. And then the food… eating a variety of vegetarian food has been difficult in Sicily. Not at this restaurant; they have an amazing selection of high quality vegetarian food. Probably the best vegetarian food we’ve ever had. We started with a delicious burrata and tomatoes, then lemon linguini, fried artichoke and shared two desserts. We did not have any wine, just two bottles of water and I was surprised with how low the bill was for the amazing quality of food. Feels like dining in a Michelin setting, but for a super reasonable price. Thank you to the staff for this amazing experience!

22/03/2026: I celebrated my graduation on March 21, 2026, at Casale Degli Aranci. It was a wonderful party, with excellent service, abundant and delicious food, and helpful and attentive staff. I especially thank Antonio, the head waiter, for his helpfulness, kindness, and professionalism! I recommend Casale degli Aranci to everyone!

17/03/2026: From the very first moment, it was love at first sight: as soon as we saw the farmhouse, we knew it would be the perfect place for our wedding. Our expectations were already very high... but they were far exceeded. Everything was taken care of down to the smallest detail, with great attention to detail, professionalism, and a passion that was evident at every moment. A special thanks goes to Antonio and his entire team: always available, kind, and ready to make everything exactly as we had imagined, if not even better. The atmosphere, the organization, and the quality of the service made our day truly unforgettable, for us and for all our guests. We couldn't have asked for more. 22/12/2025: The fish appetizers were excellent. The hot mixed salad and the battered vegetables were exceptional. The pizzas were very good. Excellent service. Highly recommended.

13/03/2026: This little corner on the ground floor of the Four Points by Sheraton hotel is a haven for Sicilian cuisine. I've eaten there several times and enjoyed refined and original dishes, such as a grilled octopus that was divine. My partner raves about it and highly recommends it, just as I do.

03/04/2026: A fantastic restaurant in Marina di Modica! The pizzas are of outstanding quality – the crust, in particular, is perfectly baked and a delight to the very last bite. The salad was also incredibly fresh and delicious. The service is friendly, humorous, and attentive without being intrusive. The relaxed atmosphere instantly puts you in a holiday mood. Highly recommended – I'll definitely be back!

16/01/2026: I stop at this bar often, and every time it's a confirmation. The hot food is exceptional, with always fresh and flavorful items. But the real masterpieces are the desserts: the ricotta cannoli are spectacular, with a crunchy shell and a fresh, authentic filling. You can tell they use top-quality ingredients. A must-try for those seeking quality and courtesy!
