01/08/2026: Amazing restaurant. We managed to get a reservation and it was one of the best culinary experiences we had in Sicily. It really has a home cooked feeling to it. The service was great as well.

31/07/2026: When Even the Rabbit Is Happy to Be Eaten! We had an absolutely fantastic evening. The waiters operated with the coordination of a SWAT team and the alertness of a dog in heat. Nothing was missed, no request disappeared into the void, and everything was delivered with genuine warmth, charm and hospitality. The starter brought us a carpaccio so tender it melted faster than the polar ice caps under global warming. The anchovy bruschetta then hit the tongue like a controlled demolition: salty, intense and gloriously explosive. A flavour bomb that left no survivors. Then came the main course. The rabbit was probably just as honoured to be eaten as I was to eat it. Rich, deeply savoury and cooked with such confidence that it tasted better than winning an argument you had absolutely no business winning. My girlfriend ordered the grilled beef skewers with vegetables. And yes, the kitchen actually understood the assignment: properly medium-rare, deeply caramelised on the outside and packed with enough flavour to make lesser steaks file for early retirement. Somewhere between the food, the wine and the atmosphere, we completely lost track of time. We even started inventing things we could order simply to justify staying a little longer in this intoxicating cloud of hospitality and culinary excess. Take my money. I will be back.

18/07/2026: Best food and Sicilian wine with the friendliest staff in the coolest well ventilated courtyard in Cefalu amidst an art gallery. We have been coming since 2017 multiple times in our 2 weeks and always look forward to coming back. The only thing I miss this year was the kitties next door who used to venture into the art installation and the olive and palm trees

17/05/2026: Lunch on May 18, 2026, as a couple The restaurant's interior is sleek and elegant. Stone walls and beams, several rooms, a warm welcome, and attentive staff. We opted for the €75 set menu plus two à la carte courses and several glasses of wine. Overall, the cuisine at this restaurant is remarkable. Everything we ordered was delicious and exquisitely refined. This restaurant could easily earn a Michelin star in France. For this level of quality, the price (€170) is more than justified.

08/07/2026: We had a wonderful evening here. It’s a beautiful setting on the side of one of the old town streets. The food was delicious & the staff were so friendly & helpful. Highly recommend!

11/04/2026: We found it by chance. It was packed. We asked for a table for two and they found us a small table in 10 minutes. The food was super fast and delicious. The pizzas were made with all-natural ingredients and the mussels were amazing. The service was very friendly. Prices are cheap compared to other restaurants in the area. 100% recommended.

06/07/2026: The Bird Garden never disappoints, but the real secret of this place is the extraordinary team that works there, some truly amazing people. When a place does so well, you can see the passion behind every detail. In the Kitchen: Chef Gianfranco Parisi is a force of nature. His dishes are an experience for the eyes and the palate, combining technique, flavor, and a unique charm. At the Bar: Francesco Gaiano is a master behind the bar, with exceptional drinks and great professionalism. At the Bakery: Massimo in the pizzeria churns out spectacular pizzas, with perfect dough and cooking. In the Dining Room: Giovanni Fiorelli and the entire team welcome you with such attention, kindness, and energy that make you feel immediately at home. A beautiful atmosphere and an extraordinary staff that all pulls in the same direction. When you come here, you experience the region at its best. Highly recommended, I will definitely be back.

07/04/2026: For the meal you see in the picture: a small pasta, a small salad, some bread, a glass of wine and a digestif - I paid almost €50. Nothing in the qaulity of the food justified such a rip-off. With so many other great options in the area, you can easily find a better meal at a much better price. I'm not surprised there were only tourists in the restaurant at peak hour, and not a single Italian - and that the place was half-empty.

02/05/2026: Baglio Himera is a beautiful place. I consider it "Sicilian-style," meaning it respects its Sicilian origins, what makes us Sicilians special. The food is delicious; I had the pasta with pistachios, cream, and shrimp, which you must try here—delicious!—and the fried seafood was even better. The service is good, and the staff is kind and courteous. The atmosphere is beautiful, decorated in Sicilian tradition, well-maintained, and spacious, with plenty of seating. Highly recommended for a birthday party. In short, the place is perfect... highly recommended.

10/07/2026: A very pleasant experience in a calm atmosphere. Lovely decor. My pasta carbonara was delicious. The waitresses were very friendly and attentive, even though we didn't speak Italian. I recommend it.

11/06/2026: If you get the table at the back you get a great Seaview. The food was incredible. Three very tasty dishes not including the tuna sashimi which hit the mark. All in all a great experience

10/06/2026: The window seat I requested is absolutely stunning but unfortunately the air con blows so hard we had to move to the table on the street - if you do not mind ice cold air blowing in your eyes, you will have the best sunset view of your life there! The staff were attentive to us and while initially it was not possible to move to a less arctic table, the main boss made it possible. We were served promptly until it came to the final bill - in the end we needed to get up to pay despite the restaurant not being busy at all (Monday evening). Now on to the food - absolutely spectacular. The mackerel special was insane. It is not cheap but the quality and flavour is fantastic.

10/04/2026: It might be hit and miss. Our food was not good. Irish stew and veal tourine. Seemed to be the same dish upside down, same meat and the potatoes seemed like instant. No flavor gravy.

The food was excellent and plentiful, with special attention paid to those with food allergies. The staff was also incredibly kind and willing to accommodate our needs. The decor was also lovely.

21/07/2026: Torre Alta was, without a doubt, the best restaurant of our entire vacation in Italy. We ate at many wonderful places in Rome, Venice, and Palermo, but honestly, no one even came close. From the incredible quality of the food to the beautiful atmosphere and outstanding service, everything was absolutely perfect. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, beautifully prepared, and made with true passion. Torre Alta gave us more than just a great meal it gave us one of the most memorable experiences of our trip. This restaurant is truly special, and we cannot recommend it enough. If you are in the area, do not miss it! Simply the best. Five stars are not enough!

The owner's helpfulness in explaining the menu and the dishes' characteristics is admirable and demonstrates expertise and great professionalism. You're immediately able to choose what to eat. The skill of the chefs does the rest. The wine list is extensive, as are the beers, liqueurs, and other spirits. The wait staff is always smiling and ready to satisfy your needs.
