The atmosphere was refined, the staff extremely friendly and happy to delight us with stories about the local cuisine, the dishes made with fresh ingredients, beautifully presented and cooked, and the prices were very reasonable. Highly recommended if you're in the area; reservations are always recommended! PS: Don't miss out on a good local Barbera, but also highly recommended for champagne lovers!

29/12/2025: We're getting married in June 2026 and we've chosen Laura for our catering at Uviglie Castle, located near the Champagnerie. Every time we eat at Casa Babette, we're amazed by the fresh, authentic, healthy food, made with local products and breathtaking flavors. The kindness of the staff and their attention to detail, even for those like me who have celiac disease, make this place unique! A beautiful location! I bought a dessert that was so beautifully crafted that I actually hesitated to eat it — it felt almost wrong to disturb something that looked this perfect. Every detail was thoughtful, elegant, and delicate. And when I finally tasted it, the flavor lived up to the beauty: refined, balanced, and absolutely delicious. 19/01/2026: If ever there was a place where you can feel totally spoiled Fabrizio Racca is perfect. The cakes look like works of art and taste like heaven. The staff are professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Highly recommended and we can’t wait to return.

The food was excellent and high-quality, the service very professional, and the service was enriched with short videos about fishing and the work they do with passion and love for the lake. 06/01/2026: Divine! Christmas motorboat to the Island of Lights – Nativity scenes and flavors on Fishermen's Island: a truly special evening, one that will last a lifetime. For the lights event, we booked dinner at Ristorante Italia, on the island of the same name, and even our arrival on the water, amidst the Christmassy reflections and atmosphere, promised something unique. I'm not a fan of fish—especially lake fish—but I have to say that here they literally made me love it. Dishes of lake fish were divinely prepared, carefully presented, and passionately described by the owner: a talkative, pleasant, and deeply engaging person. Like the rest of the family, of course, but he in particular was able to guide us, with enthusiasm and expertise, in choosing the best they had to offer. The photos speak clearly and tell a lot, even if they can't fully convey the emotions we experienced at the table. Last but not least, the discovery that the restaurant also offers round-trip boat transportation to and from Baveno and Stresa. A boat piloted by the son: a detail that makes all the difference and makes the experience even more intimate, complete, and evocative. An evening of lights dancing on the water, authentic flavors, and genuine people. One to cherish forever.

22/03/2026: Terrible experience!! We made a reservation for 7 people at 8:00 PM without being informed about the double seating. If we had known, we would have chosen differently. Upon arrival, they assigned us the wrong table and made us move. From then on, it was just rushed and rude, with pressure to finish in 40-50 minutes, and plates taken away while we were still eating (even dessert!). We reported the whole thing to the cashier, but with no response. All this for a table costing almost €200, so we certainly weren't taking up space "for nothing." Where was the respect for the customer? It's a shame about the food, because it's good, but rudeness reigns supreme. Absolutely not recommended.

Today, his 23-year-old grandson has already designed the winery you're visiting, and he cooks with the energy and cultural clarity of his home, having gained significant experience at the Mudec in Milan, one of Italy's international cultural centers. Lower Monferrato. Varengo, a hamlet of Gabiano. Hillside. A rare example of "family style and culture" that knows how to create refined cuisine. Perfect portions. A small wine cellar, but a place for meditation and a delight for the senses. The restaurant is by reservation only—or rather, "reservation"—and offers a highly personalized menu based on guest requests. The menu changes every three months. Refined local ingredients are used, including meat. Whipped maple butter, homemade bread, pretzels, spreadable gorgonzola, and the boiled meats with green sauce in a Chinese ravioli set us on a path to dinner. Innovative appetizers, and the first course, a beetroot and gorgonzola risotto, with rare flavor and balance. The second course's tender and flavorful diaphragm cooked on a silken potato. A genuine, artisanal, unfiltered Grignolino. A Catalan cream with a surprising flavor and color.

15/02/2026: We went for lunch on Easter Monday! Some chose the daily menu, others the traditional Piedmontese menu, both fixed-price (drinks not included). The dishes were very good, refined, and generous. Dishes were stylishly presented, the service impeccable, and the wines were quality. The spacious setting, soft music, and large mirrors made for a pleasant and relaxing lunch. Parking is limited. Prices are reasonable for the quality of the food and service. There are few outdoor seating areas. The takeout menu is interesting and reasonably priced. Reservations are recommended.

15/02/2026: The food was excellent and refined, respecting the original translation. The request for vegan and vegetarian dishes, which were not on the menu, was also accommodated.

13/09/2025: We stayed in this historic hotel and were truly enchanted! Our room directly overlooked the splendid Borromean Islands: a dreamlike panorama, perfect for a romantic getaway. The atmosphere is welcoming and charming, with a touch of old-world elegance that makes everything even more special. A special thanks to the owner, who was incredibly kind and attentive: she recommended a truly delightful evening meal and even arranged a little surprise for my husband—a gesture we greatly appreciated and which made our stay even more memorable.

15/02/2026: Valentine's Day dinner. The menu wasn't to our liking; we found each dish too sweet. We ate on the lovely veranda. It was a shame the hot air blew onto our table, which I had to ask them to turn off. The service was average, not particularly attentive. The bill was steep, but it didn't quite make up for our experience. I don't know if we'll be back.

08/03/2026: Sunday lunch, Tredicino festival, two families with children. We hadn't booked, but they seated us anyway. We ordered first and second courses, all excellent, and the staff were really friendly. Recommended.

02/03/2026: Very good with a beautiful view of the lake!! The desserts are a real treat!! They even offered us a schiacciata.

05/03/2026: When I have guests over for lunch at my company in Sant'Albano Stura, we usually come to this trattoria. Service is quick, and it's best to reserve a table; it's usually quite busy at lunchtime.
