"The temple of good food" is written at the entrance and the writing is just an introduction to what will be the experience of your palate. Some advice. FOR THE PALATE EXPERIENCE, trust Piero, ask him to make you the mix of appetizers, as varied as possible. I often enjoy these appetizers to death so much that I fill myself with the shoe. FOR THE VISUAL EXPERIENCE, look around, the little place represents a traditional, surreal and poetic Sicilianness. Visit the women's bathroom, very special! RESERVATION RECOMMENDATION, even if it is often so full that they don't have time to answer the phone, in that case try again!

22/04/2025: Scoperto per caso durante l'ennesimo viaggio in Valtellina, nel delizioso borgo di Grosio, lontano dai flussi turistici più opprimenti. Conoscevo già i piatti principali della valle, per cui avevo delle aspettative, che sono state ampiamente superate: tutti i piatti delle tradizione, dai manfriguli ai pizzoccheri agli sciatt, preparati con sapienza e originalità; ottima selezione di vini, della quale abbiamo potuto assaggiare un Sassella riserva indimenticabile, giustamente consigliatoci in abbinamento ai piatti scelti; un servizio come da tempo mi mancava, fatto di mille attenzioni, eccellenti e chiare descrizioni dei piatti e un sincero interessamento alla nostra esperienza. Questa autentica perla della cucina e dell'ospitalità valtellinesi non ha nulla da invidiare ai tanti ristoranti blasonati della valle.

22/03/2025: Il ristorante propone piatti della tipica trazione valtellinese, ben realizzati. Ingredienti di qualità. Ottima selezioni dj vini. Peccato che il pane che ci è stato servito era immangiabile e durissimo. Servizio valido forse troppo sbrigativo. Prezzo nelle media.

Abbiamo più volte scelto di pranzare/cenare, non solo per la qualità e bontà del cibo, ma anche per la cordialità e disponibilità del Sig. Mimmo e dei suoi familiari. 23/04/2025: My fiancé brought me to this restaurant in January as he had found it online with amazing reviews. When he brought me to the restaurant, his intention was to propose to me after we had eaten dinner. However, due to our entire experience at this restaurant being so mediocre, he chose to propose to me in a different location. To start, the menu is very interesting; however, the plates completely miss the mark. Usually, when you are served small plates, the flavor packs a punch. This was absolutely not the case here. We ate several courses before a single plate contained any flavor. For the cost of the dining experience, this is completely unacceptable. Additionally, we had to call the servers and waiters over several times so we could order wine. One waitress in particular had a nasty attitude when we would ask her to please serve us, which we shouldn't have had to do in the first place. Once we were finally served our bottle, it was kept far away from our table. This would have been fine if the waiters were attentive to when our glasses were empty. Every single time, we had to ask them to refill both our water and wine glasses. And, it's not that we finished a glass and immediately wondered where the next one was, we would finish a glass and wait at least 10 minutes before calling over the waiter. Finally, when my fiancé chose this restaurant, one of the main characteristics that attracted him was how the interior looked online: dimly lit, cozy, and intimate. Again, this was not the reality of the restaurant. Of course, the location is beautiful and the interior is well-kept, but the lighting was bright and not at all intimate. And honestly, the back room where we were sitting was decorated pretty sparsely. Overall, the experience was disappointing as it would have been ideal to have a wonderful dinner that ended in a proposal.

23/06/2025: The Messnerwirt in Oberolang impresses with its hospitality, good service, and clean rooms. The food is also impressive. Particularly noteworthy is the homemade cake, which is available fresh every afternoon as part of the half-board package. A garage (with power outlets) for bicycles is also available. The city bus, which runs directly in front of the hotel every half hour, is also particularly convenient. If you want to relax after a hike or bike ride, you can do so either on the large terrace with a cold drink or on one of the sun loungers in the garden. The Swiss pine schnapps was also particularly good :)

27/05/2025: Beautiful and functional rooms, newly renovated bathroom. The restaurant boasts an excellent menu (the chef knows his stuff!). Beautiful view of the historic center. We visited them by motorbike, they have a small internal parking lot. In the morning we woke up to the excellent smell of homemade donut. Pleasant and varied breakfast. We will never be grateful enough for the help they gave us! We had a broken down motorbike and they granted us a late check-out to allow us to fix it. They also lent us equipment that was essential for the repair!!! Honestly, Orosei has never been an overnight stop on our motorbike tours but thanks to this hotel restaurant from now on it will be taken into consideration as a fixed stop!

23/05/2025: We visited this restaurant at lunchtime. Pizza is only available in the evening. The ambiance is inviting, and the food is absolutely fantastic. If you need gluten-free dishes and are looking for something special, this is the place for you. Gluten-free bread, gluten-free pasta, and in the evening, gluten-free pizza (no ready-made dough). Extreme care is taken to ensure contamination-free food. Everything is prepared super fresh. The service is also great.

05/07/2025: Nice place open until late at night where they serve not only pizzas but also dishes. Good pizza but average. Crazy prices on desserts. The millefoglie is described as transcendental but it turns out to be a normal dessert. Overall low quality/price ratio.

25/06/2025: A special mention goes to Antonio's fried Sicilian, among the best, if not the best in the city, as well as his desserts, specifically the melon jelly.
