03/07/2025: Went to this restaurant at 10pm, traveled up two flights of stairs and this place is either under construction or non-existent... There was no music, no sounds, no tables, no people, no anything. Nothing existed but a rug leading to the next level on the stairs.

27/04/2025: (03/25) Dopo aver sbirciato tra le varie opzioni di consegna, ho capito che il cibo a domicilio di questo posto era un po’ come un film di Hollywood: promesso bene, ma finisce spesso con qualche scena mancata. Piatti buoni? Sì, ma alle volte con ingredienti/aggiunte pagate, mancanti o con una versione che sembrava uscita da un’altra stagione. La sorpresa più grande? La costante sensazione che, anche ordinando lo stesso piatto due volte, non ti trovavi mai davanti allo stesso identico capolavoro. Ragion per cui non ho ordinato più. Così eccomi lì, sotto il consiglio della mia compagna, ad entrare in un locale che ti accoglie con vibes da pub di quartiere, dove le luci sono soft e non ti fanno sembrare di stare in una sala di radioterapia. Spazi ampi, qui si può respirare, non devi per forza condividere il tavolo con il vicino. La disposizione è fatta bene, e la sensazione è quella di essere in un posto dove si può parlare senza urlare, ma anche godersi il silenzio se si preferisce. Il menù? Un parco giochi di possibilità. Piatti invitanti e porzioni che a volte ti fanno dire "Ok, può andare, mi devo accontentare", altre volte "Hmm, potevano farla un po' più abbondante". E qui quando si è in gruppo ti vien da dire: perché lui lo ha più grosso? (No doppi sensi) Ha anche più patatine? Forse il mio ha un tocco di mistero che ancora devo scoprire? Le patatine, sì, sono poche. Non so se scelgono in base a preferenze su chi darne di più. La qualità? Più o meno buona, senza troppi fronzoli: alcuni piatti sono una scoperta, altri un po' sotto le aspettative. Si ha quell'impressione di mancanza di qualcosa, come un film senza il colpo di scena finale. Ma ci tornerò sicuramente, perché a parte tutto l'atmosfera che si respira con gli ampi spazi è piacevole.

12/10/2025: This bar is very popular with workers, builders, law enforcement, and people just passing by, and who knows why, 90% of them are men...! 🤔🤔 The atmosphere is clean and decent, with the usual breakfast pastries, but I have no idea if there's any food available.

13/10/2025: Stunning village, all in stone, seen from afar (coming from Campo di Giove) it is a postcard. Very nice restaurant, very panoramic location, favorable weather you can also have lunch in the square. As for the food...... exceptional: tagliatelle with truffle, mushrooms and sausage excellent, grilled lamb equally excellent even in the cooking, very good wine, reasonable price "a few euros less would be a fortune" I joke.

06/09/2025: Lunch with a view of the Majella and Monte Amaro is priceless. And if you eat well, you're in heaven.

08/12/2025: A historic restaurant in Pescara. Today I went to their new location on the seafront, always top-notch in terms of quality and service.

17/09/2025: On Sunday, five of us went to lunch at the new Scaricarello a 4 vele. The place was half-empty. We sat down at 1:00 PM, and the first courses arrived at a quarter to 3:00 PM. During the hour and three-quarter wait, we ate the bruschetta we ordered (very good, but it took 45 minutes for it to arrive, and we had to order it three times: the first two times, they'd lost the order) and drank the wrong wine (we ordered one bottle, and another arrived—we didn't ask for a change, fearing we'd have to wait an hour). During the nearly two-hour wait for our first courses, besides drinking wine and hopefully staring at the kitchen in the back of the restaurant, we also witnessed a couple of incorrect orders, meaning waiters came to our table with dishes ordered by other tables. The problem, then, is clearly in the kitchen: the restaurant can't efficiently manage such an extensive menu (from 100 Abruzzo-style first courses to fish dishes, meat main courses, and numerous appetizers with various platters), and in fact the only thing that arrives quickly is dessert, because it's already ready. It's strange to be in a restaurant at lunchtime and see that almost no one is eating because everyone is waiting! It's a shame because the dishes were good; the first courses were really well cooked, and the second courses looked tasty too. In short, the talent is there, but the skill is lacking. Let's hope they improve... I wouldn't go back now; no one wants to wait two hours for a plate of pasta, no matter how good it is.

17/11/2025: I was disappointed by the experience, despite the high expectations raised by the carefully curated images on the website. I ordered a "My Bowl," but was served a visually sloppy dish, with ingredients sloppily mixed, overly salty, and unbalanced: the salad and egg predominated, while the other ingredients were barely noticeable. I had asked about the salmon to avoid the overly fatty one, but I was served a very fatty slice of smoked salmon, simply "thrown" into the salad. The final bill (over €20, including a €2 cover charge) is unjustified, especially considering the lack of minimal tableware. It's a shame, because the idea is interesting, but the execution was decidedly disappointing.

23/10/2025: Good food, efficient staff, and a relaxing atmosphere (a stark contrast to the noise of other venues on Saturday nights). I recommend better ventilation, however; perhaps the kitchen should be better isolated from the dining area...

28/11/2025: An exceptional team. They're incredibly kind and friendly. Exceptional pizzas, super hot dogs, calzones, excellent bread.... I tried the fiadoni with peppers in the filling for the first time, and what can I say.... Sublime.... Well done guys....

25/11/2025: Looks, tone of voice, everything to tell you you'd be better off moving. The coffee was drinkable, but left "sludgy" by the machine, which clearly needed descaling. The cake was too cold. The young assistant tried to improve the service, but was drawn into the rude owner's shop talk, using language best forgotten. P.S. (in response to the bar owner's reply) Everything I wrote in the review is true. Perhaps the owner wasn't in the mood—we're all human—perhaps it was early on a Sunday morning and therefore not the best time of day... However, I believe that a customer, especially a new one, should be greeted with kindness and helpfulness, and not in the terrible way I've described with absolute sincerity. I'm certain this isn't the lady's usual behavior with the majority of customers, because if that were the case, the customer base would have drastically decreased. Hospitality and helpfulness are essential requirements for any business dealing with the public, so they must always be there to be considered as such. I hope the lady will review her behavior and her commitment to customers in general, to providing courteous and helpful service, without distinction. Kind regards.

13/09/2025: A tavern serving traditional dishes. They don't have fish on the menu, and when I ate there, they didn't even offer fruit. The ingredients are good quality and the prices are reasonable. A family atmosphere.

07/09/2025: The two of us arrived at 8:30 pm, not many people, just 4/5 tables already occupied. Twenty minutes later the waiter comes, without a menu 😏, we order arrosticini, a portion of grilled vegetables (a slice of courgette, two slices of aubergine and a forkful of peppers), a small bottle of water and two 33cl beers. In the meantime, 4 other tables are occupied and at 10:30 pm we notice that the arrosticini we had also been waiting for for almost two hours are brought to them. We ask for an explanation from the waiter who advises us to contact the owner... we go to the cashier trusting in at least a diplomatic "I'm sorry, we'll solve it right away..... but we find ourselves in front of a very polite 🧐 owner who elegantly shouts at the waiter: "these people are leaving, bring the arrosticini to nature table"🤮 ... more rude than that... We pay 18 euros, obviously without a menu I leave everyone free to interpret!!! But does the owner know that there is a legal obligation for transparency of information to the consumer and the right to know the prices? (Legislative Decree 206/2005) When you are in contact with the public, education and respect for the person in front of you (and you never know who) are the ABC and I won't add anything else, moreover, reading some reviews, it seems to me that this modus operandi of the illustrious owner has emerged several times. Highly not recommended to avoid, with all the places there are in Pescara we have the spoiled for choice without having to risk encountering such rudeness.

09/12/2025: A restaurant and pizzeria in the Colli neighborhood of Pescara. We went for an editorial dinner: a very charming setting created in an old farmhouse swallowed up by Pescara's relentless urbanization. Spacious rooms with rustic, country-style furnishings. A splendid nativity scene was present and very welcome, given the Advent season. For appetizers, we ordered cheese and egg balls, potato croquettes, and fried chiacchiere: all beautifully executed and delicious. Next, pizza for everyone: they are absolutely recommended, well-topped, perfectly cooked, and even over-topped, making it a wonderful challenge to finish. Those who could, ordered dessert. Friendly staff, fairly quick service, yet friendly and attentive. More than affordable, in line with the city of Pescara; €28 per person. Go there, you won't regret it: a place worth keeping. Long live Frate Tac!
