27/06/2026: I was passing through and looking for a gelato shop to cool off from this heat. The gelato was exceptional, delicious, and had unique flavors, though I chose pink grapefruit and yogurt. I really appreciated the balance of flavors, the creaminess of the yogurt, and the freshness of the grapefruit. It was excellent because it wasn't too sugary (which usually bothers me).

We were sitting outside late, with no noise from the rest of Venice, and enjoying the ‘space’ the host created for all the guests.
Definitely a ‘save’ on my list, when I come back to Venice!

For those who appreciate it, the place is nice and the staff is friendly. The food is good, and considering the time we waited, it was cooked to order.
Definitely not my target restaurant, though; there's no reason to return.
Lots of smiles and bows, but not much substance.
Some prices:
€4 per person for the cover charge
€4 for a 0.75 bottle of water
€20 for a chicken (gourmet portion)
€8 for a side of asparagus (5 pieces, 10cm long)
I can't say I had a bad experience, but I find a €140 bill for leaving still hungry to be excessive, and I say this despite the fact that I'm certainly not the type to overindulge when eating out.
02/05/2026: We stopped for lunch after visiting the oasis.
Attentive and friendly staff, high-quality ingredients.
Gourmet portions, but that's how we like it.

20/10/2025: How delicious! How beautiful! I loved everything! The welcome, the food, the atmosphere, the music.
An environment where you can breathe in and enjoy cuisine from other lands.
I'm vegetarian and had a hard time choosing a dish from the many on the menu.
My companion instead chose a fish dish, very fresh and beautifully cooked.
I've been wanting to go back!
Thanks for the delicious wine.

19/10/2025: Stopped in for some lunch on a sunday not expecting much (not that the indian food in italy is bad by any means!) but considering i’ve grown up eating it as an indian myself i was simply ready to just have a meal with familiar tastes if nothing more but i was amazed at how good the food truly was and how authentic it tasted and to find it here in Lido of all places was a great surprise! hands down some of the best indian food i’ve had in the world! i got the chicken jal fry with garlic paratha! will definitely come back again! 12/10!!

04/07/2026: Of all the places we visited at Union Lido, this one is the worst overall. The best item on the menu is the seafood pizza. As for the pasta, the carbonara is average. The same goes for the ragu. Better tables with views of the beach and sea require reservations in advance. The tiramisu isn't a deal-breaker either. There are so many seats that you should probably find a spot without calling in advance. There are a lot of waiters and staff bringing your ordered dishes and drinks. This creates a bit of chaos, so it's worth checking the list of extras on your bill.
28/06/2026: In Italy, they've adapted to a vegan diet. This is also true of Ristorante Al Mare with its veggie pizza. It's not an extraordinary pizza, no unusual ingredients (though they are fresh), etc., but it tasted good. The cheese offers a good alternative (taste, texture, etc.). You can certainly form your own opinion, even if you're not vegan. Unfortunately, they only offer this one pizza. A second option would have been nice, so there would at least be a small selection. We also found it a bit odd that some of the staff stood near us the whole time, seemingly watching us. Nevertheless, it was a lovely evening and the pizza was good.

08/06/2026: A nice, clean restaurant, suitable for couples as well as groups, and easy to get to. Service is quick. The menu is quite varied, including salads and poke (though these aren't my cup of tea, I appreciate their presence). The main courses are limited, with several chicken dishes, a couple of beef dishes, no pork, and only one shrimp dish (salt and pepper), one salmon sashimi dish, and a maximum of two orders. Overall, I liked the fresh ingredients and the service.

Alina and Andrea are the perfect hosts: they make us feel welcomed every time, and we've become part of their family, and it's always a pleasure to return.
Their kindness is truly innate and makes the atmosphere even more special.
The pizza is wonderful, light and super digestible, with quality ingredients and always new and original dishes. A place we absolutely recommend to anyone who loves to eat well and feel pampered! 🍕✨

17/05/2026: Ehhh, always a guarantee, let yourself be guided by the chef's inspiration. Meat or fish, whatever is there is of quality. Today "canoce", sauce with "canoce" pasta, panettone homemade. Good wine km 0 excellent. Recently tried vegetable and shrimp risotto exquisite. What more do you want?

07/07/2026: I found myself sipping an aperitif at this bar with some friends and was pleasantly surprised to find a welcoming and quiet atmosphere with quality products and a wide selection. But what I appreciated most was the kindness of the staff. 😉 We were greeted by a young woman, "Adriana," very sweet and friendly, who took care to suggest various options for us. 😊 Which is always an added bonus. 😎🙏
I absolutely recommend it because in an area with so much choice, this is a little gem waiting to be discovered!

10/06/2026: We very much enjoyed our stay here.
The location is nice and close to the train station, which makes arrival and departure very easy. It is also very close to the main transport throughout Venice - which was great!
The hotel breakfast had plenty of options including hot and cold options and decent coffee. The hotel restaurant was also very good.
Things to note:
There is no onsite laundry - we used a laundromat that was ~ 5 min walk away which was a good alternative.
There are no in room ironing facilities which was disappointing.
Our room was nice and spacious and the bed was very comfortable.
29/04/2026: My wife and I stayed at this hotel and we're checking out today. It's right on the Grand Canal and very close to the central train station. The staff are very friendly, sincere, smiling, and helpful... but the rooms need a little renovation. The main question is: Would I stay at this hotel again if I came back? Yes, I would.
There are slippers, a toothbrush, water and drinks in the cupboard in the room... cleaning is done every day and the sheets are changed. The coffee and croissant at breakfast are delicious.
It's worth mentioning again that the staff are excellent ❤️

I ordered an off-menu spring pizza with asparagus and pizza dough...really good.
For dessert, the chocolate sorbet was very generous.
The service was excellent; however, I wasn't convinced by the ambiance, perhaps because the lighting was too low. However, it was pleasant and interestingly decorated.
I recommend trying it (and making a reservation)!
28/03/2026: My Margherita pizza was very good thin crust, but if they reheated the serving dish it would be better.
