This place isn't a touristy one, even though it's close to highly touristy areas. The food is very good, although the prices are a bit high. The staff is friendly and helpful. I recommend it to anyone who wants to eat well, authentic Italian and Venetian cuisine!

I’ve been here twice in four days, once with a tour and then again on my own. Both times, the food was DELICIOUS, and the staff were wonderful. The ambience is great inside or out. Hospitality by the forkful! If (when) I make it back to Venice, I will absolutely be back!!

We ate at Antica Osteria Ruga Rialto and had a truly wonderful time. What we liked most was that it didn't look like a typical tourist restaurant: there were also local Venetians inside, which is always a good sign for us. It doesn't have a panoramic view, but honestly, that wasn't what we were looking for: we wanted to eat well, in an authentic place, with reasonable prices and without feeling "ripped off," as can unfortunately happen in certain areas of Venice. Good food, a genuine atmosphere, and a fair price. Highly recommended.

Authentic atmosphere, both in the service and the setting itself. Good aperitifs, try the vespertino (an Americano with select instead of bitters), good food, truly fresh fish, and attentive attention to allergies and food intolerances. I really enjoyed my stay!!

04/05/2026: The establishment pleasantly surprised with its variety and reasonable prices The food is delicious, for different tastes The only one that took a long time to figure out how to turn on the water in the tap where you can wash your hands and it's noisy Maybe we got there at peak time (lunch), but there was a line that passed quickly
03/05/2026: The great thing is: so close to the tourist hotspot, you'll find this oasis of calm with good value for money. The pizza was good, and the seafood appetizer platter was impressive. The fritto misto was exactly as it should be.
