We returned after 4 years, this time sampling the food for lunch and we were not disappointed. Some of the tastiest we have had in Venice and such entertaining enthusiasm and guidance as to the produce and dishes from Andrea. He will also select a couple of different wines to accompany your choices and allow you to taste them to choose your preference. I particularly enjoyed the asparagus starter and the artichoke and scallops pasta dish. Perfection, and the best way to arrive back in La Serenissima.

A truly special evening. I was delighted with both the atmosphere and the welcome: you immediately feel at home! The host is an integral part of the experience: attentive, authentic, and never pretentious—quite the opposite! A true Venetian! More than a restaurant, it feels like entering a home kitchen, a real, lived-in one, where the dishes are prepared fresh. You wait as long as it takes, but true cuisine requires that. A special mention goes to the wine list. In short, a place that's a departure from the "usual" you've seen before. It's about time!

I had the most incredible time dining here last night. We had a large group of 7, and were fortunately able to get a table later in the evening (8:30pm). It was immediately clear that we were in for a treat. The owner, Andrea, was charming, funny, and took so much pride and love in his selection of ingredients and wine. Our entire group agreed that it was the best dining experience of the entire trip.

A fantastic, one-of-a-kind restaurant. The owner runs the kitchen and dining room single-handedly, creating delicious, fresh dishes. He has a great sense of humor and makes for a truly enjoyable experience. The vegetables are fresh, local, and perfectly seasoned. The pasta with langoustines is divine! It's a rare find in Venice…

We enjoyed the dinner here about 2 years ago and having had very good memories of it and its nicely eccentric owner we booked a table and were looking forward to the same quality and service… but this time it was unfortunately not as good. The meals descriptions are still inventive and inviting but 2 out of 3 meals I ordered were overloaded with (rather dry) bread on the bottom of the plate which created the impression of abundance but was detrimental to overall quality and the 3rd one was overloaded with thick sauce which killed all other tastes. Without going into the details of each course we agreed that it was overall a disappointing experience… The owner - who is the cook and the waiter in one person - was entertaining as always but stopped paying attention to us as soon as the only one other table became occupied by Italian guests. I guess this dinner was a confirmation that we should not try to relive great experiences of the past 😉 P.s. to be fair: the wine selection was great.
