27/01/2026: We went to eat at the Old George on Saturday night. Let me start by saying that the staff was incredibly kind, smiling, fast, and so much more! Unfortunately, the fried food—or rather, the fried foods—were a little subpar. The burger wasn't bad, worthy of a 4-star rating. The tiramisu, if I may say so, was a little dry, and could have used a little more cream. The atmosphere was pleasant and clean!

06/10/2025: We've been frequenting Pizzeria Cip e Ciop in Pianiga for a while now, and we're always completely satisfied. It's one of those places where you truly feel at home, thanks to the quality of the food but, above all, the people who work there. A special thanks goes to Isabella, who always welcomes everyone with a sincere smile and a kindness that immediately puts you in a good mood. She handles orders with admirable calm and precision, even during the busiest times. She's always attentive, helpful, and ready to find a solution for every request, large or small. Her courtesy and professionalism make every visit a pleasure—she's the first face you see upon entering, and she immediately sets a positive tone for the entire experience. And of course, I can't help but praise Alina, the owner: a cheerful, attentive, and passionate person, whose dedication to always offering the best to her customers is evident. The care she puts into managing the place is reflected in everything—from the quality of the ingredients to the speed of the service, to the consistently welcoming and family-like atmosphere. It's rare to find an owner so present and helpful, always ready to chat and make every customer feel important. The rest of the staff is also always kind and smiling, and the environment is clean, well-kept, and pleasant. We often come here with our families, and every time it's a peaceful experience: the children have a great time and are welcomed with the same attention and warmth as the adults. It's a place where you eat well, you feel good, and you're always happy to return. In short, a pizzeria that combines quality, warmth, and professionalism, made special by two extraordinary people: Isabella, with her kindness and precision, and Alina, with her passion and dedication. 28/11/2025: The food was small and of poor quality, lacking any kind of seasoning. Salt and pepper were not served at the table, only cheese had been on the table for who knows how long. The only positive thing was the fairly quick and practical service.

18/11/2025: I went with a group of pilgrims, accompanied by a priest and a local guide; there were no queues or worries about tickets. I highly recommend Obra de Maria; all meals are included in the package.

23/11/2025: All the other pizzerias were closed this evening, so we ended up at Alle Gru. It looks rather unassuming from the outside, but the pizza menu is impressive. Piero, the owner, gave us excellent advice and helped us choose the perfect pizza from the 70 available. There were six of us, and the pizzas all arrived at the same time and were delicious. As an amuse-bouche, we had a pizza fries, just like in the South. We had a lovely evening here and want to come back. Keep up the good work!

14/11/2025: If you love standing and waiting hungry, this place is for you! This pizzeria is the queen of waiting! When we arrived, there were 5 people waiting 45 minutes for a table!! Kudos to them! We waited 20 minutes, but when other customers arrived, with reservations for a half-hour after ours, the waiter seated them almost immediately. We didn't let that deter us; we waited another 15 minutes and then, alas, had to abandon this challenge. We went to a nearby pizzeria (Da Mario) that offered us a complimentary table as soon as we arrived, even without a reservation; it was very good. I'll definitely be back!

12/04/2026: We decided one Saturday evening (after calling to see if a table was available, of course) to have dinner at this quaint, historic trattoria, where good food is guaranteed! Needless to say, traditional food is only available in these mountain locations, where they preserve their local, home-cooked flavors. Highly recommended!

24/03/2026: Very disappointing and upsetting experience. When we arrived, no one was managing the entrance or communicating with waiting guests. After being ignored for a while, I went to ask a waiter if it would be possible to get a table. He told us we could probably be seated in 5–10 minutes. Based on this, we decided to wait at the bar and even ordered drinks while standing. Shortly after, another couple arrived and the host suddenly came to greet them and started assisting them immediately, without even acknowledging that we had already been waiting. Since we had been there longer with no information, my friend moved towards the bar seating area. The host then reacted very rudely, saying we could not sit because we did not have a reservation. We had no issue with guests with reservations being prioritised. The real issue was the complete lack of communication and the aggressive attitude. When we calmly asked how long we would need to wait, he raised his voice and shouted at us to “be quiet” because we didn’t have a reservation. When my friend said he should not speak to customers like that, the host even claimed that we were being aggressive towards him, which was simply not true. I tried to calmly explain the situation, but he kept shouting and would not let us speak. We eventually decided to leave and asked for the bill. Despite everything, we still left a tip for the bartender. The whole experience was shocking, embarrassing and very stressful. Customer service and basic courtesy should not depend on whether someone has a reservation.

02/04/2026: Today, on a trip to Jesolo, struck by the urge for some good fried seafood, I couldn't have come across a better place. Congratulations, good, excellent, and plentiful. Highly recommended. Thank you.

28/09/2025: We've never experienced anything like what happened tonight in this restaurant in our 30 years in Jesolo. We were treated like dirt by the waiter. He was very reserved towards my wife and me from the start, even though we were there for the second evening in a row. We had fish, pasta, and a salad. Okay, but really nothing special. For dessert, I asked for a tiramisu and ordered a portion, but it never arrived. We weren't even given a second glance. Finally, I politely asked for the bill, without a hint of reproach. After paying in cash, the waiter took the money, didn't give us another glance, didn't say a word, and left the table. I can't explain the situation at all, especially since, with my rudimentary Italian skills, I tried to order in Italian out of respect for my hosts. What remains is disbelief. Other reviews have already suggested that Germans aren't welcome here. Whatever. In any case, one can only warn against this restaurant. Even if it looks quite cozy at first glance. If you want to ruin your holiday evening, go right here.

27/09/2025: We ended up at this restaurant because of the rain. The decor was nice, and we were able to sit down to eat. After a while, a waiter came over, took our drinks, and placed the usual "bread basket" on the table. Since we'd been out for a long time, I took a piece (the bread was very dry on top). I noticed that there were red spots on the bread and looked in the bread basket. Apparently, this basket was already at another table, where they were apparently serving red wine (we hadn't ordered any). When I complained, the waiter simply wanted to wipe the bread with his apron. I looked at him confused and said I didn't want it that way and would like a new one. From that moment on, the waiter was extremely annoyed and brought our food and was otherwise very rude. If we hadn't already ordered food, we would certainly have left the restaurant sooner, as this behavior is completely unacceptable in my opinion. It's also possible that we were having a bad day, as there are certainly good reviews, but we wouldn't go to this restaurant again. You have to know for yourself.

17/03/2026: I've been to the Porte di Mestre former Auchan... What can I say... The people who work there are disorganized, the takeaway beer is warm. Long waits and always, or almost always, long faces, it's like going there to eat is a disservice to them. Dirty tables. No coordination behind the counter for orders. People thrown in to do this job without training. The people at Marcon have been clean all their lives... And the employees are always smiling and much more organized.
