26/03/2026: We spent a week here as part of an Itaka trip and had a great time. One must remember that it is a 3 star hotel, rather than 4 or 5, and so for what it is, it is great. First and foremost, the staff were all fantastic. Every one of them friendly and helpful, and they were especially comforting during an emergency situation we were unfortunate to encounter at the end of the week. We had a room on the first floor which seemed to have been renovated (it was a smaller room without a balcony and a shower whereas our friends on the second floor had a bigger room with a balcony and a bathtub as well). Although a balcony would have been nice, everything was just fine. The bathroom was a bit on the small side, but it wasn't an issue for us. There was a modern radiator in the bathroom which allowed us to dry our ski stuff on at the end of the day. The beds (two singles pushed together) were also fine and there were sockets next to each side of the bed as well as built-in reading lamps and light switches next to the bed. A wardrobe with plenty of hanging space (I could have used more shelves though!). There was also a small fridge under the desk. The only downside was the level of noise - from the corridor, the room next door and the group of youngsters who decided to congregate outside our bedroom window every afternoon while we tried to rest - but this is not the fault of the hotel of course although perhaps they could try to make the room more sound-proof (and use thicker curtains!). The food was as good as you can expect for the level of hotel. There was always a vast selection of food which changed every night - everything was on a buffet. Breakfast included some form of eggs (either hard boiled or scrambled) with either bacon or sausages, plus the usual cheese, ham, vegetables, bread, cakes & croissants with water, juice, tea and a coffee machine. I would have liked more prepared fresh fruit (there was always some whole fruit available though) for yoghurt at breakfast and also as a dessert option at dinner. I would have also liked some different bread options as there was only white available. Dessert could have been better - often the same and whenever there was some fresh fruit or something different/nicer you had to be quick enough to get some before it ran out. The biggest plus of staying at this hotel is the proximity to the ski slope - it's a very short walk (50m?) to the Malga Ciapela ski lift which starts at 8.40 and goes every 10 mins or so with about 60 people at a time to the top (with 2 connections where you cannot get out to ski but have to continue going up). You can eventually connect to Sella Ronda. At the end of the day you can ski all the way back down to the ski lift and walk back to the hotel. There is a ski room on -1 which was very spacious and has heated boot warmers. The only thing I will mention is there are signs in the hotel warning about potentially theft of ski gear and that no responsibility will be taken from the hotel which is a bit concerning, although we didn't personally have any issues (and there was a camera outside the entrance to the ski room). Our friends opted to keep their stuff on their balcony, but we did not have such an option (nor did we have such expensive gear to mind too much). Also on the -1 level, with a connection to the hotel, is a small grocery store, a ski shop (for buying & rental) and a bar. The hotel also has a decent sized swimming pool (about 14m in length approximately) which was heated to a comfortable temperature and free to use with prior booking (it was open from 5pm). There was also a sauna or spa available at an extra cost (the sauna was €15 per person for one hour) but we didn't use it. Overall we had a very enjoyable stay and week of skiing which unfortunately ended in a bit a disaster for us when emergency surgery and transfer to another town plus an extension of 2 days to our trip was needed! But as I said before, everyone at the hotel was very accommodating and supportive during this time. I would definitely stay again!

26/03/2026: We recently returned from a wonderful week! The place is magical... at the foot of the Marmolada... even though the structure is a little dated, we had a great time! The staff is magnificent... thanks guys for everything! Love, A&C

28/03/2026: Good pizza at a fair price, service and customer care could use some updating. We're very regular customers because we live in the area, so I wouldn't even need to leave a review, but the rudeness I experienced today when I made a phone reservation prompted me to write this review. The pizza is always excellent, well-topped, tasty, and with a fragrant crust. It's served hot so it never gets cold, and the price is very fair. However, the rudeness of the elderly red-haired lady is disarming; it's incredible to imagine such a low standard these days. When I called to make a reservation, I was literally told, "These are not the times to call!" (even though I've always called at this time on Saturdays and the other waitresses have always been very kind). To make matters worse, after providing my last name, name, and time, the phone was literally hung up on me without even a "thank you and good morning." This is intolerable! Perhaps this lady should be fired, especially considering the numerous negative reviews about her. She's basically the one who lowers your ratings.

09/08/2025: Reported facts: €1 for the glass of water I asked for with my coffee—probably legitimate, but it's the first time this has happened to me. Furthermore, when I tried to pay with a debit card, I was asked to pay in cash "because it's under €10." I don't think this is legally required, but I preferred not to elaborate, cut short the interaction with the staff, and paid in cash. Personal opinion: Service lacking empathy; I certainly wouldn't recommend it to tourists who would enjoy chatting with locals. Fortunately, the rest of the day reminded me that in other bars and restaurants, the hospitality and value for money better reflect the beauty of the places visited in the surrounding area.

08/12/2025: The pizza was really good, the place was small but nice (reservations recommended), and the prices were really fair! I'll definitely be back.

11/12/2025: I was at lunch, the service was disappointing. I asked for glasses for water and they never arrived. The waiters (so to speak) were not all complete for what we ate (10 people). Starters, three platters, 10 first courses, 5 second courses, three desserts, five coffees. I paid €400 and it's not worth it.

06/12/2025: We visited on a Sunday and a Saturday in December. Sunday was busier, Saturday much quieter; however, the service was exquisite and attentive on both occasions, with a different menu each time and truly excellent, both the meats (especially the goat and donkey) and the homemade tagliatelle and gnocchi. A spectacular location with a fabulous view of the surrounding mountains. A special mention for the ricotta cake (you'll want to wrap your head around it), and for the convenient changing table in the lovely, warm bathroom.

01/11/2025: Osteria con cucina al Centralino is a pleasant surprise in the heart of Scalon. At first glance, the exterior doesn't do the place justice; it would be nice to see a little more care and attention to detail, because the entrance doesn't give you a clue as to how welcoming the interior is. Once inside, however, everything changes: the place has been tastefully renovated, the atmosphere is warm and convivial, and you can feel that homey feeling that only true osterias can provide. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the kitchen offers authentic, well-prepared dishes made with quality ingredients.

10/09/2025: The room and bathroom were dated, clean, and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was okay. Unfriendly and unsympathetic staff. We thought it was expensive.

05/09/2025: We enjoyed the restaurant even though we weren't guests of the hotel. It's definitely worth a try. The typical dishes were well-prepared. The location was beautiful. The staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. The atmosphere was great!

27/12/2025: Terrible organization! People exhausted by queues, unclear information, double lines, and unclear payment terms. As a true Cadore native, I bring tourist friends to our valleys and I make such a fool of myself. They're right that Trentino is better. Think again, guys, and change jobs.

26/07/2025: Yesterday I ordered four poke bowls for takeout, and unfortunately, the experience was decidedly disappointing. When we ordered, we had carefully selected the sauces for each bowl, but none of them were included. This completely compromised the flavor of the dish. Furthermore, the rice was truly unpleasant: flavorless and with a texture that left much to be desired, it seemed old or poorly prepared. The service was also not the best: unfriendly, disorganized, and inattentive, despite it being a simple order. I strongly advise against eating there, given the overall lack of attention and the quality of the food. Personally, I won't be returning: there are many much better options in the area, such as Poke Club, not far away, where the quality and service are of a completely different level.

02/04/2026: Cappuccino €3. We're in Lecco in 2026, not on the Taormina seafront. Reply to the owner. I doubt €3 for a simple cappuccino is a justifiable price given what you're saying. Not even in the center of Rome with a view of the Colosseum costs that much. As for the lake, you can't see it from the square. Should we charge separately? The truth is, you're taking advantage of the tourism boom, but you won't be able to see us residents even with binoculars. And it would be better to leave a price list on the tables, if we'd had one, because there's no way we'd have ordered.

22/02/2026: Enjoyed breakfast with friends, really excellent cappuccino, delicious cakes—shame I'm afraid they're mass-produced. Overall, a great experience. The gentleman who served us was kind and helpful.

28/02/2026: Absolutely amazing aperitivo! Feeling conflicted whether to post a review or not: it's amazing as a gem we'd love to keep it a secret to ourselves! Great wine, warm hospitality and "culatello" ham is out of this world.

15/12/2025: Top piadina and sandwich, very kind and helpful staff, super fair prices, excellent sandwich, I will definitely go back, one of the best kebabs in the area

25/10/2025: In itself the meat is good, the ingredients are so-so and often the piadina is served raw as happened to me. I recommend the sandwich.
