15/03/2025: Let me start by saying that I don't know if the management has recently changed compared to the past. Unfortunately the experience was really negative, I never happen to be so disappointed as to leave a review but in this case I think it is right. 2 of us had canaderli, grilled cheese and venison ossobuco. The dumplings were completely raw, dry and packed, as if they hadn't been cooked enough. Seared pan-fried potatoes (just with the black edges, not toasted). The worst thing, however, was the osso buco, really tough and stringy meat but above all without flavour, my partner took a bite and left it all there. Also disappointing was the fact that no one asked why we gave up eating it. I repeat, this is not meant to be mean but I rarely eat out and I am so disappointed. Also because for the same price in other places in that area you can eat divinely.

14/03/2025: Excellent food, welcoming environment. Not a lot of variety on the menu, but perhaps that's a strong point: what there is is truly excellent. Excellent food, welcoming environment. An institution for many, both valley residents and tourists. I'll tell you an anecdote: years ago an office colleague told me she was going for a weekend with friends up in the Agordino area and asked me for a place to go for lunch. I advised her to go to the Rif, to Carla. Well, they were so satisfied that a month later, with other friends, they went specifically to Agordo, from Treviso, to eat executioner's toda and deer.

24/03/2025: This was hands down the worst vegan eating experience I’ve ever had. So disappointing! Reading the reviews, we thought we were on to a winner with this restaurant so my partner booked it as a birthday meal. We’d heard it described as ‘cosy’ but it felt cold and unwelcoming. The starter, a mix of raw sandwich, hummus and salad was the kind of vegan food popular in the 80’s. The stuff that gives vegan food a bad name. The main was slightly better but not good. My partner had 6 pieces of ravioli, I had gnocchi. We were so uncomfortable and the food SO poor we left as soon as we could and got dessert and drinks elsewhere. I’ve been a solo vegan traveller and relied on good food reviews to help me navigate new places. Please do not go here. There are so many better places in Venice. And eating vegan shouldn’t be a punishment.

17/04/2025: Years pass but this restaurant/pizzeria is always a guarantee!! Evening based on pizza and here too they did not disappoint, full of top quality ingredients, thin and very light pizza. The service is always quick and exhaustive in guaranteeing every single course. The place is always nice and welcoming, recommended.

04/05/2025: Excellent quality of food and service. Absolutely valid price/quality ratio. I will definitely go back. The ingredients are fresh. All you can it formula. I went back and found the same courtesy. I ate well and lightly again...

07/04/2025: Overcooked tuna steak. For the rest the quality is not exactly top notch. Just one type of soy sauce. Ginger and wasabi not received. Service ordered the coffees and then another colleague passes by because the first one didn't understand well. They dump the dishes on the table without any indication. Salmon definitely too fatty. nice place

10/01/2025: Da molto tempo non mangiavo così bene. Qualità delle materie prime eccellente. Non é stato solo un pranzo ma un’esperienza gustativa meravigliosa. Unica pecca per cui non do il punteggio massimo: il dolce è stato un po’ deludente, sicuramente non all’altezza delle altre portate. In ogni caso esperienza da ripetere.

30/03/2025: The boy who welcomed us was very polite and nice. The environment is truly pleasant and the service is fast and professional. Nice choice of toasts, sandwiches, focaccias etc. also phenomenal meatballs and mozzarella in carrozza. And there was no problem with our little girl, in fact everyone was very nice to us. I recommend it for both couples and small families.

25/03/2025: Typical Italian bar, with a very vintage atmosphere, we went on a Saturday afternoon and it was packed, we waited a while to get a table, we had some house drinks and then went to dinner.

Too bad we were sitting next to the bathroom where every time the door was opened a terrible smell came out. The wine list was not brought or offered to us. At first I thought about returning to try other dishes, but the price seems high to me

12/04/2025: Located "off the tourist radar" on a narrow street in old Padua, I consider it to be an unimposing authentic very good Italian restaurant. Open for luncheon and dinner, for the latter to avoid disappointment I would highly recommend you make a reservation. The kitchen is top, daily fresh produce from the local market are selected, and creatively prepared. This establishment ticks all the boxes for a very good restaurant dining experience; small rotating seasonal menu, moderate prices, it opens just for lunch and then closes and reopens for dinner, large enough for seating up to 40 persons, but small enough to ensure food quality and service always deliver an unforgettable experience. I would recommend a visit, you will not be disappointed.
