20/01/2026: Two pizzas and two beers for €56. Too much, both for tourists and especially for locals. Very fast service; the pizza arrives very quickly, and just as quickly (with the pizza still on the table) the waiter almost sends you away. Nice atmosphere. Good pizza, but average, nothing special.

31/03/2026: Excellent place to get a cozy lunch near Cathedral del Duomo. Many options for vegetarians and the menu reflects the local Toscana specialties. Kitchen is open and sort of noisy, and we had to request plates a couple of time, but otherwise the service was respectful and courteous.

27/03/2026: Osteria Bonelli was easily the highlight of our entire trip in Italy. After traveling through Venice, Rome, and Florence, this spot in Siena took the top prize for us. We stopped in for lunch on a Friday and were surprised it wasn't busier, this place is a total hidden gem that deserves a line out the door. We ordered the lasagna and the yellow squash risotto, the lasagna was perfectly cheesy and rich, while the risotto had an amazing, deep nutty flavor. We paired everything with a local Chianti that was excellent. The atmosphere was awesome, featuring a perfect blend of historic stone walls and cozy, warm lighting. Pricing was very reasonable, if not on the cheaper side, for the experience we had. The staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive, making the experience even better. If you are in Siena, do yourself a favor and skip the tourist traps for this place instead. You won’t regret it.

11/01/2026: We went for dinner a couple of weeks ago. The evening went well. The place was very welcoming, the service was prompt and courteous, and the food was good. The only thing that made us turn up our noses was the rather low temperature in the rooms, which isn't particularly welcome in winter. Even when we entered the restaurant, instead of being greeted by a comfortable wave of heat, we didn't notice much difference from the temperature outside. I would recommend turning up the heating.

19/04/2026: Since it was morning, we stopped for breakfast. There were a lot of pastries displayed in the windows. We ordered two croissants and a portion of chocolate pancakes. We had croissants before, but these were very good. The staff was very kind and communicative.

07/04/2026: The place is truly beautiful and the location is definitely worth it. As for the food, we found it to be average and nothing particularly memorable. Furthermore, some dishes had rather strong flavors, which we personally didn't appreciate very much. Considering that we spent about €75 per person (€300 for four), we think the price is quite high for what we ate.
