We're from Caltanissetta and arrived at this restaurant thanks to the kindness of a local who pointed us to the place, saying that the inside was amazing, and it's true: good food, extraordinary quantities, a beautiful setting, and truly professional service. We recommend it 100%, but I won't post photos because we ate everything 😋
29/04/2026: The atmosphere is truly lovely, especially since it's in Acicastello, on a little street I really like. We started with an excellent welcome prosecco and some rustic mixed antipasti, followed by excellent meat rolls and, for dessert, exceptionally flavorful Turkish salami. The prices are fair. I'll be back because I'm curious to try the pizza.
I came back specifically to try the pizza, which received top marks for both its cooking, the ingredients used, and the quantity of toppings.
On my second visit, I had an excellent burger, further convincing me of the quality of the cuisine. However, I honestly think the restaurant's prices are a bit too high.

05/01/2026: Bar Sgroi was very close to our apartment, so we went there for breakfast twice in a row. There was a vast selection of sweet pastries (and traditional savory delicacies like arancini), including cream-filled trecce, croissants, and Nutella-filled saccottini. We sat at the tables inside (there's also an outdoor seating area) and drank excellent coffees and cappuccinos, served by attentive and always very friendly staff.
Highly recommended!!!!!!
13/12/2025: The girl at the counter was very kind and professional.
The gentleman who served us, I think the owner, is a jack of all trades, serving food (nothing special) and cashing in. Many places in Catania do this, where hygiene standards aren't respected.
You can't serve food, even if you don't touch it, and then immediately touch money. Aside from the regulations, just the thought makes me a little sick.

14/06/2026: Yesterday I ate for the first time with some classmates, and everything was delicious. I'd only heard about this place by hearsay; I'd recently discovered I'm celiac and no longer went out to eat because they weren't equipped to cater for me. But here I immediately felt at ease and was able to eat whatever I wanted without anyone imposing restrictions. The waiter who took our orders immediately asked if anyone ate gluten-free and brought out a shared appetizer for everyone, including arancini, panelle, and potatoes, which I was able to enjoy without feeling left out. Even the desserts are gluten-free; they actually have a separate kitchen. The pizza was very good, and even the gluten-based one looked delicious. I'll be back.

16/03/2026: It's a bar that has lost a lot of its reputation over the years, perhaps because it hasn't kept pace with the times. Nonetheless, I still fondly remember it for the best aperitif I've ever had.
07/03/2026: I've been to this bar several times for breakfast, and they never have the items listed on the menu and promoted on social media. Even if I come at 9:00 a.m., they're always sold out. Removing them from the menu and not promoting what they don't have would be ideal. The only positive thing is the staff, who are always very friendly.

13/06/2026: We spent three days on vacation near Cefalù and dined here on two evenings. The staff were kind, friendly, and helpful. The food was delicious. The photos speak for themselves.
12/06/2026: That was awful! Unfortunately, very impersonal. Two stars for the seafood starter; the pasta with porcini mushrooms and truffle was an outrage. Slimy, overcooked porcini mushrooms, completely tasteless. What a shame!

17/05/2026: We happened upon the sign on the road, spontaneously turned off, and weren't deterred by the somewhat adventurous access road. Although we were initially turned away at the restaurant because we didn't have a reservation, we were eventually shown to a table and enjoyed a delicious pizza.
The service was very pleasant, and even though we only got to enjoy one excellent pizza because the restaurant was fully booked, we thoroughly enjoyed our evening.
14/05/2026: We celebrated my daughter's confirmation and it was a success, everything was delicious and all our guests complimented us. A special thanks to Girolamo, you're a super guy. We'll be back soon.

08/06/2026: If you like seafood, I highly recommend this place for dinner. The ingredients were very fresh and of good quality. At first, we weren't sure because the place was empty, but after a while, locals started arriving, and we knew we'd made the right choice.
