10/09/2025: Always the best, except that there are so many people that despite the abundance of staff you always have to wait too long.....unfortunately after years of going to the Bacio Bar I have to say that this year I am very disappointed, the staff at the ice cream shop does not answer you if you ask for something, this afternoon I went for an aperitif 3 spritz with 3 small bags of crisps 6 olives and a small plastic coffee cup with peanuts 24 euros, I was amazed, at the 113 cafe in Casteldaccia with my husband we paid last week with a rich platter we paid 15 euros and then the quality of the ice cream is no longer the same I am very sorry it is certainly not the excellent place of past years

06/09/2025: I went to Ber Bacio last night, terrible experience (elite). They left us sitting at the table for 20 minutes without anyone noticing us! The room was almost empty! We got up and told them we were leaving. Both the manager and the waiter looked at me without even deigning to answer. I went to the cashier (very kind) and asked for the owner. She replied that he was eating and didn't want to disturb him, so we left!! I will never go there again!

03/10/2025: Super-stocked bar/bakery on the main road. They make exceptional almond paste desserts, and their savory baked goods are also a must-try. There are plenty of outdoor seating. The waiters seem a bit aloof, but they're professional and friendly.

18/10/2025: I ate at this Roman-style pizzeria in Lampedusa and it was a truly excellent experience. We even ate there on two different excursions, on different boats! The pizza was delicious, fragrant and light, with quality ingredients that you could taste from the first bite. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, as well as kind, smiling, and always available. It's wonderful to find a place that combines the tradition of Roman pizza with the warm atmosphere of the island of Lampedusa. Highly recommended, I'll definitely be back!

16/10/2025: Well cooked pasta. Great service and big portions. I couldn't finish my plate!

15/10/2025: It was a little salty, but delicious. I was a little upset that it came in a broken bowl, but the food was delicious.

14/10/2025: We stopped for a coffee but they were so kind that we bought a fantastic cannolo-shaped magnet and a small bottle of Sicilian bitter.

01/09/2025: A small, historic bakery known for the quality of its rustic products. The Bagheria white sfincione has few rivals in town. Just looking at it will whet your appetite, and once you've tasted it, you won't be able to stop. TIP FOR THE MANAGER: Install a small cold drinks dispenser. For me, it's a must-try 😋😋😋

04/07/2025: Casa Trimarchi is the perfect example of authentic Sicilian cuisine, from producer to consumer, with fresh ingredients and genuine flavors that tell the tradition of the territory. Each dish is prepared with care and passion. Despite a small initial inconvenience with a bottle of wine gone bad, the staff handled the situation with extreme kindness and professionalism, making us feel truly at home. An experience that we recommend to those who want to taste the real Sicily, in a welcoming, quiet and authentic environment.

22/03/2025: Great fine dining experience in Termini. I wanted to see the place months before I actually travelled there because I respect their vision and, of course, food looked great in all pictures. They were flexible enough to change my reservation even one hour before, as booking ahead sometimes can come with surprises. When I did manage to eat there, I found two great people, presenting the restaurant and the food in a simple, but meaningful way. Had the degustation menu and 3 wine pairing- food was excellent, all dishes. Some surprising tastes and textures, well balanced food. The wines they chose are the best I drank in Sicily, from Sicily. I recommend it with all my heart.

05/07/2025: Absolutely fantastic spot! Pollo d’Oro is an absolute gem — traditional, no-frills, and brimming with local charm. I popped in for a bite and was immediately greeted by the warm, welcoming owner and a group of friendly regulars who not only engaged in perfect English but were keen to offer food recommendations. While waiting for my chicken (which was well worth the wait), I enjoyed a cold beer that hit the spot perfectly — crisp, refreshing, and exactly what was needed after a day in the sun. But the real surprise was the arancino — rich, flavourful, and possibly the best I’ve ever had. It set the tone for what was to come. When the chicken arrived, it was sensational. Perfectly cooked, seasoned to perfection, and served without any of the fuss or inflated prices you find in tourist-heavy spots. Everything about Pollo d’Oro feels authentic — the food, the people, the atmosphere. A brilliant place to eat well, drink happily, and feel like you’ve stepped into a slice of real Sicily. I’ll be back without a doubt.

11/10/2025: We ordered pasta and a cannoli. The pasta was too basic for a restaurant, and the cannoli was, objectively, the worst we tried. The dough was hard, thick, and stale, with very little filling.

10/10/2025: During our visit, we had the opportunity to try lasagna, pizza, cheeseburger, fries, salmon pancakes, and coffee, and everything was very good. The restaurant is right at the exit from Isola Bella beach. Prices are very reasonable for Taormina, around 50 euros for everything. Friendly service and a short wait.

20/09/2025: Passing through Francofonte, we found this quaint trattoria and pizzeria. What can I say? Authentic, homemade food, just like in days gone by, truly delicious, even the warm bread baked in a wood-fired oven. The ladies are friendly, kind, and approachable—a truly pleasant discovery!

11/10/2025: This place is incredible! God send as a vegan in Sicily. All dishes are vegetarian or vegan, you choose 2,3 or 4 different dishes from the counter to make up your plate. So fresh it's untrue, beautiful Italian flavours and includes protein (vegan chicken in one dish). The chocolate raw cake is also out of this world. Not to be missed if you are a veggie or vegan in Catania!

04/10/2025: We visited Do'House twice — once just for drinks and once for a light dinner. The first time, we enjoyed two excellent glasses of Franciacorta. It’s worth noting that they have a fully stocked enoteca with a wide range of wines at very reasonable bottle prices, plus an impressive selection of craft beers. For our second visit, we went for a casual meal — panini and piadini — and ordered a couple of starters. They turned out so generous that the chef kindly suggested we see whether we still had room for the mains. We didn’t — but that wasn’t a problem at all! Prices are incredibly fair: around €6.50 for a freshly made burger or panino, which is hard to beat anywhere. All in all, we’d happily eat and drink at Do'House again whenever we’re in Castelbuono — which, by the way, is an absolutely charming little town.
