Bring your appetite and indulge in the selection! The prices are very reasonable, so you can even treat yourself to an extra mini pastry. ☺️ Don't miss it when you're in Palermo. And most importantly: try the Torta ai sette veli.

30/11/2025: I've dined at this restaurant twice, both times ordering the seafood tasting menu (raw and cooked), which was delicious and plentiful. It was followed by a first course, always excellently executed. The desserts were delicious, and the service was always impeccable. It was impossible to find a single negative. Compliments to the chef and the wait staff.

26/12/2025: 20251217 The staff were very friendly; even with a slight language barrier, they patiently explained the food. The café had a great atmosphere, with Wi-Fi and power outlets available. The sea salt caramel chocolate tart was delicious, perfectly balanced between sweet and savory, the chocolate was very smooth, and the crust wasn't too hard. Very satisfied. The tapas were recommended by the staff (because I said I wasn't very hungry and just wanted a small snack). Each flavor was well-balanced. My favorite was the yogurt blueberry flavor—very refreshing. They also had ham with balsamic vinegar, smoked salmon, and pickled tomato flavors, all of which were delicious.

07/03/2026: The food was good. The service was less than ideal. They brought me the meat, and I hadn't finished my appetizer. While I was still eating, the waiter started clearing away the cutlery and plates. We had ordered a bottle of wine, but no one refilled our glasses. When we tried to help ourselves, they made it clear that it wasn't acceptable. When paying, I gave them a little extra without saying it was a tip. They took it without bringing back the change. We waited another 10 minutes, and when they didn't come, we just left. It was too much for me.

18/01/2026: My friend and I stopped by for lunch. A pleasant restaurant. I would particularly recommend the seafood platter + fish tartare and caviar with fresh bread and salted butter. The seafood platter was beautifully prepared, well seasoned, and the fish was lightly marinated. Perfection! I also appreciate the good selection of wines served by the glass. They paired beautifully with both the appetizer and the main course. The only thing I don't understand is why they kept offering me Syrah with fish/seafood. Don't get me wrong. Sicilian Syrahs are great, but I would never pair them with fish/seafood :-) Value for money, I would be more than happy to repeat my visit.

11/01/2026: It was magnificent, the arancini were truly delicious. The best thing is that they serve them fresh, so they fry them on the spot. 10 out of 10.

30/12/2025: I'm vegan, and the arancini are excellent, although I think the eggplant should be removed from the pistachio one. Unfortunately, I didn't like the desserts; the fillings seem to be made almost entirely of cornstarch/potato starch. The staff is incredibly kind and helpful.

16/03/2026: It's a bar that has lost a lot of its reputation over the years, perhaps because it hasn't kept pace with the times. Nonetheless, I still fondly remember it for the best aperitif I've ever had.

07/03/2026: I've been to this bar several times for breakfast, and they never have the items listed on the menu and promoted on social media. Even if I come at 9:00 a.m., they're always sold out. Removing them from the menu and not promoting what they don't have would be ideal. The only positive thing is the staff, who are always very friendly.

17/02/2026: We celebrated my baby's first birthday on Sunday, February 15th. We chose a meat-based menu, with delicious appetizers served at the table, plus a truly exquisite first and second course. We were looked after carefully from the first meeting. On our special day, we were treated with kindness, promptness, and professionalism. We wish Gianluca and his entire staff continued growth. Wherever professionalism and competence reign, we can only praise them and wish them the best. Thank you so much for everything. I recommend everyone to trust the owner and his team without hesitation.

20/03/2026: Delicious food, top-notch service, and very friendly and professional staff! Their signature dish, of course, is their pasta with pistachio pesto, probably the best in Palermo! The desserts are also delicious. Highly recommended!

16/03/2026: I had the best pasta I've ever had at this restaurant, the pistachio pasta. The place is located just a few minutes from the center of Palermo, and I recommend everyone try it at least once. Excellent wine, but it's a shame about the lackluster staff.

14/03/2026: I already left a 5-star review 4 years ago, and I'm updating it today because the service continues to be excellent. It's no coincidence that I decided to celebrate my graduation here with friends, and the party was delightful. The atmosphere was great, with comfortable sofas, friendly and helpful staff, and delicious drinks, including cocktails and teas. Although we had a hiccup with the final bill, the owner was very helpful and everything ended well. I've returned after years and will definitely continue to return, and I will recommend the place to my friends, who have appreciated the pleasant atmosphere and the service provided during the party itself.

13/03/2026: I recently visited Sabir’s Pubs, Cocktails Bar & Narghilè, and I’m truly impressed. The atmosphere is inviting, stylish, and perfect for relaxing with friends or enjoying a quiet evening. Their cocktails are crafted with great attention to detail, and the hookah quality is excellent,smooth, flavourful, and long-lasting. What really made my experience outstanding was the staff. Every team member was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind. They worked together with professionalism and positive energy, creating a warm and comfortable environment for all guests. A huge thank you to the entire team for their wonderful service. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for great vibes, great flavours, and great people. I will definitely be coming back.

25/12/2025: Terrible breakfast, little choice, food of poor quality, not at all fresh, typical of a two-star hotel, friendly but unprofessional staff. Neglected outdoor spaces. Villa Politi, a historic hotel, a flagship of Syracuse from the 80s, is now in decline, a great shame.

14/12/2025: A beautiful and historic hotel just a short walk away from the shoreline (highly recommend taking advantage of the park/plaza nearby - the ocean views are stunning!). There’s a grandiose sort of feeling as you approach the building, walking up the marble staircase and into the lobby, which opens up into a large sitting room before it sections off into elevators and smaller hallways. We were here in early December and the hotel had started to decorate for the holidays, which added to the cozy feeling. Rooms are modest but tastefully and minimally furnished. The shower stall in my room was quite small and certainly not accommodating to those who will be larger or taller or perhaps even claustrophobic. I comically told my friends it was barely big enough to do a full turn in the shower. There is no shelving in the shower - not ideal and an area of improvement for the hotel to consider. Surrounding noise from the hallways and any rooms next door/nearby is a sizable nuisance as there’s next to zero sound proofing. Despite the beautiful ambiance of the Grand Hotel Villa Politi, the 2 biggest areas of critique are food related. There is only one restaurant nearby (small cafe/coffee shop of sorts). No shops, no other food options available. The breakfast offering at the hotel is significantly lacking. It is literally 90% carb loaded (room temperature breads, sweets, rolls). So if you like your breads, you’ll be delighted with the enormous array of carbs. The 2 hot food items (eggs, ham) were not adequately sized to feed a large tour group. It was 2 small trays that kept running out because people were waiting and then quickly depleting whatever was put out. I simply gave up trying to get a hot breakfast. If you know you’re going to have 50+ people dining at breakfast, have enough staff and food to feed that amount of people. The hot entrees set out were **barely** enough to feed 10. Doesn’t make for a pleasant start to the day when you’re waiting for hot food, never receive hot food and the only other majority option is carbs. Hence only 3 star rating from me.
