L'angolo di Mondello - Trattoria da Franco In Palermo

Not bad, but in my opinion it's a bit too touristy. Who can blame them, they're just steps from the beach?! But I prefer something more authentic.

L’Angolo di Mondello was one of the absolute highlights of our trip to Sicily. From the moment we arrived, the entire dining experience was amazing and we were made to feel like we were at home. The food was simply incredible. Every single dish that came to the table was outstanding, from the fresh seafood and octopus to the pasta, risotto, and everything in between. After traveling and eating our way around Sicily, this was the best food we had on the entire island. This isn’t just a restaurant we would recommend if you happen to be in Mondello. L’Angolo di Mondello is a destination in itself and worth making a special trip for. It was truly one of the peak experiences of our entire vacation. Definitely call ahead for a reservation. This is a special place.

Always a wonderful experience. It's a shame about the heat on the veranda. The dishes are delicious: the sardine meatballs are superb. The only complaint is the prices, which seem to have no limits: a plate of spaghetti ricci and raw prawns costs €35. It might be the effect of Northern European tourism in Palermo, but it's not good. Perhaps in the short term the restaurateur is doing well, but he's driving away local customers.

Great food, great service, and great price!

A very pleasant restaurant in Mondello. Far from the kind of place that overwhelms its customers, it offers authentic seaside cuisine. The real highlight is the wine list. With Sicilian, French, and other wines available, it's a pleasure to enjoy a meal paired with a glass of wine. It might be a little noisy, but we had three tables of 8-10 people. This needs to be confirmed. Otherwise, I recommend it. We had tagliatelle with shrimp and pistachios, accompanied by a dry white wine, 'Etna Bianco'.

Good but not what it used to be

Fantastic fresh fish and lovely pasta dishes.

Air-conditioned restaurant, very friendly staff, and delicious food. We had delicious and not at all greasy fried calamari, busiate alla Franco, and fettuccine with shrimp and pistachio. Everything was delicious and the portions generous. Highly recommended.

We had dinner here one evening, nice place, excellent food and service, reasonable price, a wonderful discovery.

I was truly surprised by the excellent quality of the food. I ordered a shrimp tartare and the restaurant's signature busiatr and was truly blown away. Incredible quality, adequately air-conditioned, reservations handled promptly, though perhaps the service was a bit slow and a bit disorganized, certainly due to the crowded restaurant. Highly recommended for the quality of the food and the prices in line with how much and what you eat.
