22/07/2025: Extremely grateful I stumbled on this place! I had just arrived to Venice in the evening and kitchens were starting to close. Found this place near my hotel and they warmly welcomed me in. I had the linguine with green pesto and it healed me from a long chaotic travel day. Grateful for the kind service and delicious pasta to kick off my solo stay in Venice.

Excellent service: fast and everyone smiling. Possibility to reach the bathroom easily with boots, it is located on the ground floor and can be accessed from the slopes.

23/06/2025: This restaurant was recommended to us by Agricampeggio la Terrazza and we had a great time. The place is very nice, surrounded by greenery and the staff is friendly. But the five stars are above all for the cuisine, amazing! The best venison I have ever eaten. The quality/price ratio is also excellent and the portions are generous. We were also offered a small appetizer while we waited for the main courses, even though the wait was short. Absolutely not to be missed! PS: we had asked to have dinner at 9:30 pm but we were told that it was not possible that late, so we arrived directly from the trekking. In reality other customers showed up exactly at the time we requested. This was the only negative note, which did not take away from the 5-star experience.

06/07/2025: We have been visiting Sappada for many years and on one of our vacation days we decided to stop for lunch at Baita Mondschein, a place we had already been in the past. The place is really beautiful aesthetically, with a splendid view. That's also why we chose it: too bad that the beauty of the place is completely denied by unwelcoming staff and a cold, snobbish atmosphere, where only how much you spend seems to matter. As soon as we arrived (me, my mom and our dog), we asked very simply if it was possible to order a toast or a sandwich, something quick. The waitress answered us with an almost annoyed air, saying that perhaps they don't have them and that she had to check. She seemed really annoyed by our request, as if it were absurd or out of place. At that point, we decided to sit down and order from the menu anyway, hoping for a more pleasant experience. They brought us, as a "courtesy appetizer", a single-portion cake that we hadn't asked for but certainly a nice gesture. Visually also cute, with little flowers on top as decoration, but at first taste it was clearly a frozen cake. Simplicity is fine, as long as it is honest: but it is a little funny that, with such basic products, such a haughty tone is maintained. Shortly after, the owner arrives, who introduces himself with a handshake - a gesture that might seem polite, but clearly done more to get noticed than to truly welcome us. We order two plates of gnocchi with ragù, a simple dish on a fairly creative menu. And as soon as we order, the owner exclaims, turning to us: "I would have bet on it, and I would have won the bet." An out of place and unpleasant sentence, which seemed to want to say: "Of course you took the cheapest dish, obviously." A sarcastic, inappropriate and completely unsolicited comment. We looked at each other without responding, but already there we completely lost the desire to stay. The environment quickly became hostile. The waiters looked at us insistently and annoyingly, as if we were unwelcome guests. At the end of the meal, a waitress asked us if we wanted dessert. We said no, thanking her. Shortly after, another asked us the same question. When we politely reiterated our no, the waitress made a clear gesture toward the rest of the staff, as if to say: “No way with these.” Now, this is exactly the kind of attitude that makes you lose all desire to stay. And in fact: it's not a question of money. If I have a good time in a restaurant, I'm the first to have dessert, coffee, to stay longer. But if I feel judged or treated with condescension, I honestly don't see the point in staying seated longer than necessary, a feeling that I almost never experience because if you have a good time in a restaurant you shouldn't be eager to get up, but this is what I felt, so I didn't see the point in spending even a single euro more in a place like that. Let alone leaving a tip. We paid in cash – about 46 euros – leaving the exact amount, without a tip for a matter of principle: the attitude we received was disrespectful and clearly annoyed by the fact that we had not ordered more courses. As soon as we got up, the owner ran to open the booklet to check if we had paid, then greeted us with another smile that was as polite as it was fake. A final note: the staff were all dressed elegantly, clearly to give the place a tone, but form is not enough. We witnessed a waiter who was trying to explain the menu in English and couldn't even translate the word "language"... Before acting haughty, perhaps it would be better to work on the substance, as well as on the appearance.

The atmosphere is elegant and welcoming, the cuisine impeccable and worthy of much more than five stars. 13/07/2025: Historic bar. Well-made cocktails, always fresh aperitif appetizers. The pastries are second to none, with the Babà being a highlight: for me, the best I've ever had. Average prices. Very friendly staff. Excellent bar.

13/07/2025: Stayed with my wife in the apartments a few hundred meters from the hotel. Newly renovated, very clean inside, and, most importantly, a comfortable bed. We then ate in the evening at the restaurant in the hotel building: very satisfied. Wide selection, friendly staff, and a pleasant location. The wine and spirits selection is extensive, with a focus on regional products.

10/07/2025: NOT BAD...BUT THE BEER IS A RIP-OFF! Overall, the restaurant isn't bad, with generous portions, but the fried food is heavy... It's very annoying that I ordered a 50cc bottle of beer, and they brought me a 75cc. When I pointed out that I'd ordered a 50cc because I couldn't drink more, they told me they only had that type in a 75cc. Okay, but BEFORE YOU DECIDE FOR ME, MAYBE LET ME KNOW! I didn't want to cause a controversy, so I didn't ask for it to be changed, saying it was fine anyway. Then, when I got the bill, I discovered it was a whopping 13 euros! Which, as good as it is, is NOT worth it! Excessively expensive, and above all, NOT LISTED ON THE MENU, otherwise I wouldn't have ordered it! I won't be back, go get someone else for your money.

13/07/2025: Amazing vegan apperativo and cocktails. Each cocktail (and mocktail for non-alcoholics like me) is superbly crafted and designed. Each plate is a piece of fun art. I've been to similar bars where the fancy cocktails cost $30+ and this place did the drink and the snack for $20! Staff was quick and the outdoor seating is quaint with the church in the background. Overall a great experience and a MUST for any vegan in town. GET RESERVATIONS!
