Based on what we had been told about this restaurant, we were very disappointed.

A truly fantastic restaurant with amazing food and great service! The view is simply stunning, and everyone is extremely friendly and very kind to children. Highly recommended.

South Tyrol is a guarantee for excellent cuisine and friendly staff who impress with outstanding service! The Leiter am Waal follows this principle and takes it a step further! The staff is always friendly and determined, providing service that is not only courteous but also honest and always focused on the guest's well-being. The dishes are freshly prepared and of high quality—just as you would expect. In addition to many highlights throughout the year, the apricot dumplings are an absolute must-try! Hats off to Leiter am Waal! P.S.: The wine selection is amazing! Whatever your heart desires, every wish is fulfilled here.

We discovered Leiter am Waal during our vacation thanks to the Google reviews and the stunning view. The restaurant is located just outside the village, nestled among vineyards and orchards. The location alone is worth a visit. The restaurant itself is beautifully designed. Traditional, cozy, and full of charm. You immediately sense the emphasis placed on atmosphere and hospitality. The large terrace with its breathtaking view makes a visit particularly special. For my starter, I had the homemade ravioli. An absolute delight. Fresh, flavorful, and superbly prepared. For my main course, I chose the Wiener Schnitzel. I have to say, it was one of the best Wiener Schnitzels I've ever eaten, definitely in my personal top three. Perfectly cooked, wonderfully crisp, and deliciously juicy. Exactly how a true Wiener Schnitzel should be. To finish, I had a crème brûlée, which was also absolutely perfect. A perfect crust, creamy, and not too sweet. I would also like to give special mention to the service staff. All the employees were exceptionally friendly, warm, and attentive. As a guest, you truly feel welcome and well taken care of. I was also impressed by the value for money. Considering the quality of the food, the beautiful location, and the wonderful ambiance, the prices are absolutely fair. Even €5 for a liter of water is perfectly reasonable in this setting and with this overall experience. Another plus is the convenient parking right next to the restaurant, which makes getting there very easy. All in all, a fantastic restaurant with excellent food, a great view, friendly service, and fair prices. Anyone in the area should definitely stop by. A clear recommendation from me, and definitely a place I will gladly visit again.

Unfortunately, the food was not a culinary experience...bland and there was really very little of it...well, I guess you have to order three courses...

We were there on Saturday with a large group of men. All the staff were incredibly patient and friendly. It was fantastic. Thank you so much! It was unforgettable for us. And sorry if we were a bit loud ;-)

Highly recommended, great service, delicious food

Beautifully situated on the Algund irrigation canal path. Great food and good wine. Lovely large terrace and extremely friendly service.
