One of the best restaurants I've ever been to! Everything is just perfect, from the service and food to the atmosphere and even the price. We had Schlutzkrapfen (filled pasta), trout tartare, Wiener Schnitzel, and the chocolate mascarpone tart. The white wine from the hillside vineyard next door is also highly recommended! A huge compliment to all the waiters and chefs who work here!

Dear Thomas and the entire Leiter am Waal team, what could be better than hiking here for two hours in light rain to enjoy the day comfortably on your covered terrace with delicious food and drinks? Absolutely fantastic! Friendly, competent, and delicious. Without wine, you can expect to pay around €45 per person for antipasto and a main course. We'll definitely be back.

We were very disappointed with the asparagus dish we ordered. The asparagus wasn't as expected – firm to the bite – but rather very hard and almost raw. This was a clear indication of poor preparation, as asparagus should ideally be served tender with a slight bite. The Bolzano sauce and the potatoes were also bland and lacked flavor. Only the ham added a touch of taste and partially redeemed the dish. Overall, however, the meal fell far short of our expectations.

We spontaneously stopped at this place during our hike along the Waalweg trail. The whole place is simply wonderful, modernly furnished, and the terrace is beautiful with a fantastic view. The service was attentive and friendly; we only had a snack platter, which was excellent. We would have loved to have a proper meal, but unfortunately, we didn't have time. Highly recommended!

03/05/2026: The interior is well-maintained. The menu is a bit too touristy and lacks character; I would have preferred more traditional Ladin dishes. The burgers and pork shoulder were average, and the price was fair.

20/05/2026: This hotel is absolutely amazing! In my opinion, it needs at least six stars to better reflect its superiority over other hotels. We had to wait a long time to finally book a holiday there; demand is high, and now we understand why! It couldn't be better, in our opinion. Everything about it is top-notch. The friendliness of everyone at the hotel—staff, family, and guests—is incredible; everyone seems happy and genuinely enjoying their stay. You immediately feel comfortable and well cared for. The ambiance, the decor, the food, and everything else are absolutely first-class and worth every penny. We will be back as soon as possible to experience a few days of pure bliss!
14/05/2026: This was my second visit. As expected, it was simply wonderful from beginning to end. We were particularly impressed by the warmth of the entire team. Service is truly a way of life here. Simply superb.
