22/05/2025: My wife Cristina and I, knowing the Val D’Illasi, which leads to the town of Illasi, yesterday, May 20, 2025, wanted to go to Frantoio Bonamini because the oil that is also sold on the large-scale distribution market is very good. We met him at the Tosano commercial chain in Megliadino San Fidenzio, province of Padua. The daughter of the owner Bonamini, who we met, introduced herself with great professionalism in her explanations, after having welcomed us with the same, great courtesy. We were allowed to do a tasting of three different organoleptic properties of this oil (small variations of the oil they produce) and she sold us three types of quality, in bottles. After that, asking her if there was a good traditional cuisine restaurant nearby, she very kindly wanted to tell us about the restaurant “Al Donzellino” in via Donzellino n. 3. I asked if she wanted to precede me with a phone call to this place. A few meters from the oil mill company we were welcomed by Mrs. Antonia, with a cordiality, perhaps, from another era, because it no longer exists. The place is very elegant and refined. It seems like entering a private home, which it is. Very well-kept tables, with three right rooms, with a sober and not ostentatious space. The cuisine that is offered is very refined and the enthusiasm, the passion that Mrs. Antonia puts is the result of the dishes that are tasted. Excellent first courses cooked in the Italian style, just right, that is “al dente”. The variety of foods changes every day. A particular specialty is the meat, red or white, of excellent quality, as are the vegetables of excellent quality. The courses are served with the simplicity almost as if you were invited into a private home. Water 75 cl. or 1 liter, wine in bulk, if you want, seasonal “dessert”, if fruit is requested. We tasted two cups of cooked cherries macerated with their natural liquid. The price at lunch, if you want to have a complete meal, is fair: €40 per person. Then in the evening I don't know if it changes. In any case I recommend this particular restaurant during the daytime lunch because there is light, there is more time, but above all it is located in the open countryside, surrounded by thousands of olive trees. Signora Antonia, then, enriches the pleasure of the banquet with explanations of the local culture, but above all of her passion for picking vegetables that are not found and that accompany in excellent combinations with what you choose as dishes. The whole context is bucolic. It gives a sense of peace and tranquility. I highly recommend it because when you have a passion for catering the results are there, served at the tables, waiting for those who decide to reach the owner of this mansion.

05/05/2025: A surprise a stone's throw from the Holiday Inn hotel. A decent variety of pizzas. The service is great (ask for Luca, the poet!). To return again and again when staying near the business center.

one of the aspects that i appreciated the most was the speed of the service: the orders arrived in a really short time, without any unnerving wait, and everything was well presented
the dishes were a real surprise: tasty, well cooked and with quality ingredients, all at a more than fair price, accessible to everyone. it is rare to find a place where you eat well, are treated with care and spend the right amount
i highly recommend this place to those looking for a pleasant and smooth experience. i will definitely be back

01/06/2025: A truly pleasant place, with a rich, colorful and carefully prepared aperitif, even in taste. The service is quick once you have ordered, but I strongly recommend arriving on time: the tables are served based on the time of reservation and you risk waiting a long time. The waiters are kind and make a great effort to cope with the intense pace. Being right in the middle of Piazza Vittorio, I would say that the quality-price ratio is more than fair.

The spaghetti with anchovies, fennel and bread: supreme. The “biancomangiare”, a fake soft-boiled egg, a treasure chest of a visual and gustatory masterpiece, a perfect deception to the eye, a wonder to the palate. I didn't know chef Accursio Craparo, but after this experience I can say that it rightfully enters among our best gastronomic discoveries.

12/05/2025: Posto e locale splendidi… con la vecchia gestione avevamo mangiato prodotti tipici con un rapporto qualità prezzo decisamente giusto. Ora è diventato più che una malga un ristorante chic con rapporto qualità/prezzo sicuramente non adeguato e con porzioni minime. Ma la cosa secondo me scandalosa è che devi obbligatoriamente (come è scritto sul menu ) consumare 2 PORTATE a persona (sono esclusi i dolci) . Considerando che una portata, a memoria, parte da 17 euro fino ad arrivare a 25 ed oltre, è un attimo arrivare a 60/70 euro a persona. Decisamente una scelta a mio avviso non corretta. Frequento molto Moena e dintorni e onestamente non sarà più nella mia lista delle malghe preferite, nè da andarci nè da consigliare. Voto 2 per cortesia e posto ma che per un ristorante ovviamente contano ma altrettanto ovviamente non bastano.

Good food, generous portions (I didn't even manage to finish everything), we did the tasting menu to try more dishes and everything was very good. The grilled chicken and the chicken mos are highly recommended.
The owner is very thoughtful and attentive, I would say luxury restaurant service.

Fig + cheese ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Soft and green. You can chew the dried figs in between and it tastes sweet.
Cherry ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The natural taste of the ingredients was preserved and it wasn't an artificial cherry flavor, which was really good!!
The staff was very friendly and I enjoyed my meal.
