25/04/2026: A fantastic experience amidst the winding roads of Abruzzo. After a motorcycle ride through Guardiagrele, Casoli, the Verde River springs in Fara San Martino, Palena, Campo di Giove, and Pacentro, we crossed the San Leonardo Pass and stopped for lunch at Locanda del Barone in San Vittorino (descending just before Caramanico). ​The restaurant is wonderful, with a beautifully landscaped outdoor garden, perfect for relaxing. Lunch was top-notch: on the owner's recommendation, we opted for three starters, all perfect. We then continued with superb handmade arrosticini and exceptional roast lamb. The dessert, a lemon tart, was also excellent. ​The value for money is amazing, with the bill being decidedly modest considering the high quality of the dishes. We wanted to show our biker friends from Bari the best of Abruzzo, and thanks to this lunch, we achieved perfection. Highly recommended, we'll definitely be back! Booking in advance is recommended.

08/05/2026: Beautifully restored restaurant but quiet atmosphere in early May. Great views, wonderful side garden, good service, reasonably priced local wines. Personal view so dont let it put you off, as this is an attempt at innovative fine dining - chef-ified and de-rusticated. Calabria...but food didn't really do it for us. Pasta itself good... but soggy ravioli (split or intentional? unsure) and powdered mint spinkled artichoke pasta creation mainly lemon flavoured. Both veal and lamb rib chops seemed slow cooked...odd choice for these cuts rendering a grey meat albeit with intense sauces to restore. Prefer de-chef-ified re-rusticated Calabria.

25/04/2026: Typical Civita cuisine revisited in the style of Chef Gregorio Buccolieri, a welcoming atmosphere, a beautiful garden area with outdoor dining options, and friendly and professional staff. Excellent service and a good wine list, the cuisine is delicate and tasty. The meatballs with creamed carrots are delicious. Homemade leavened and baked goods are also available. The menu changes with the seasons and the carefully selected ingredients. Good value, reservations recommended.

30/06/2026: I’ve ended up coming here every single day I’ve been in Rome, and I think that says everything. The team here is genuinely warm, welcoming, and remembers people, which makes it feel like your neighborhood café even if you’re just visiting. Do yourself a favor and get the pistachio croissant. It is phenomenal and tends to sell out early for good reason. Pair it with their crema coffee and you’ve got one of the best breakfasts in the city. I’ve tried coffee all over Rome during this trip, and Mus Caffè is still my favorite. Great coffee, fantastic pastries, wonderful people. If you’re nearby, don’t overthink it. Just go.

26/06/2026: Was in Rome last week, stayed in Prati, and had breakfast at Mus Caffe one morning - and it was awesome! We sat outside, had coffee, and a great (very affordable) breakfast. Our waiter was attentive and excellent. If we ever make it back to Rome, this will be one of our stops! A+ all around! Highly recommend.

15/05/2026: We happened upon it by chance, as a couple, for a vegan dinner with non-vegans. The cacio e pepe pizza was superb and well-filled. A large Ona Ona salad and a vegan fried seafood dish. Wine, water, and coffee were perfect, we'll be back!! Friendly staff, excellent value for money.

03/05/2026: I came here for the first time and ordered the truffle macaroni. I was blown away. The pasta sauce was creamy and tasted amazing with a sprinkle of Parmesan. The service was great and the waiters were super nice. I would definitely come back again and order the same thing.
