12/03/2026: We found this restaurant for lunch during a day in Assisi. Very close to the Temple of Minerva (an excellent location), we luckily found a table without a reservation (though I recommend it during peak hours to avoid disappointment). Truly excellent food, with a wide selection of appetizers, first courses, and second courses (both meat and seafood), as well as a varied selection of pizzas. I personally recommend the Tozzetti di San Francesco, spectacular! The service was attentive and precise, although the wait was perhaps a bit long. It's still a lovely find in the heart of the city. One last positive note: the menu clearly lists allergens, which is not a given.

23/11/2025: We visited this restaurant in Assisi yesterday and had a truly pleasant experience. The restaurant is well-maintained, welcoming, and conveniently located: just steps from the center and very close to the Matteotti parking lot, making it easy to get there. Despite the late hour, the host—the owner of the restaurant—was extremely helpful and prepared a variety of dishes for us, carefully adapting each course to our dietary needs. A rare, attentive, and genuinely courteous service. Good food, a relaxed atmosphere, and a truly welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended!

06/03/2026: At first glance, I noticed the hospitality and, above all, the friendliness. My wife and I stayed on a half-board basis. Breakfast was varied and offered excellent products, especially considering the kind and helpful staff. Dinner offered typical, excellent, and high-quality dishes, which I must compliment. We'll definitely go to Assisi at least once, and I've definitely found the perfect place for us. Thanks also to Antonello, to whom I've already complimented the entire property. Thank you.

05/12/2025: What a wonderful restaurant! While searching for gluten-free options, this place popped up, and it was definitely the best choice. The risotto is spectacular. We returned for dinner as well and tried the tartare, croquettes, and cod. The portions aren't enormous, but the quality is exquisite. Daniele's service was impeccable. Highly recommended if you're ever in Assisi.

17/03/2026: We spent three days in Assisi and found this restaurant for dinner. After trying it on the first night, we decided to eat there the other nights as well. What can I say...a truly beautiful, well-kept place with very kind and helpful staff. The cuisine is traditional Umbrian, using top-quality ingredients. If you're passing through, you absolutely must stop by this restaurant. A tip for dessert? Order the chocolate cake, it's divine. Thanks to all the staff.

19/02/2026: A very mediocre, bordering on bad, food place. Exorbitant prices for the quality. I don't recommend it at all. Among other things, they charged us 9 euros for a slice of flatbread, and on top of that, it was awful.

17/02/2026: A small, well-maintained and well-organized trattoria in the center of Assisi. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the staff is very friendly and helpful, ready to offer excellent suggestions on dishes to choose from. It was a pleasant discovery; the dishes are excellent, and the ingredients used are top-notch. All at a fair price. If you're in the area, I recommend stopping by; you won't be disappointed.

11/03/2026: I was walking in Assisi when I saw this beautiful establishment. At first I was a little hesitant because I thought it would be too expensive, but instead I had a great time. The quality of the ingredients is really high, and everything we ate was delicious: truffles, meat, carpaccio, and hummus. I'm just sorry that the beauty of the place might scare some people, because in reality the prices are fair and you can tell they serve locals more than tourists.

16/03/2026: Over the years, I have had very mixed experiences in this restaurant. Overall, the food is pretty nice, though the wait is always very long. Dont go there if you are in a hurry. Also staff could be a little nicer/ sympathetic when refusing customers without bookings. Maybe they feel they don’t have to make an effort because they are mentioned in every guidebook and their address is very central? In any case, there are better restaurants in Assisi and you may get a better welcome elsewhere so do keep that in mind.

14/03/2026: We came to this restaurant not through reviews, but through the recommendation of a host who raved so much about it that we couldn't help but book. So, I booked the 7:30 PM table about 15 days in advance. We arrived right on time and full of high expectations. They seated us, brought us drinks, and after a few minutes we ordered. The first course was torta al testo with vegetables. The first course was served cold, the second courses were unseasoned and tasteless. The second course was suckling pig with potatoes and stuffed guinea fowl, and again, it didn't live up to expectations. The suckling pig was dry and hard to chew, the potatoes were microwaved and extremely salty. The guinea fowl, however, arrived "messy," meaning that so many spices, herbs, and various sauces had been added to the dish that they completely covered the flavor of the guinea fowl. Estimated dinner time: about 30 minutes. They served us so quickly that not even fast food restaurants can keep up with that pace, and obviously this rush to get us all fed and then quickly send us away reached its peak when, when I asked if we wanted dessert or coffee, my husband replied that I would get one, but, I should add, not right away, in a little while (just enough time to finish the wine). Less than a minute later, the waitress arrived with the coffee. I told her I wanted to wait, and she irritably told me she'd bring it to me in a minute, as I'd said. Now, I understand quite well that these mechanisms are designed to get us to leave the table quickly, but they weren't necessary because the staff's lack of courtesy, empathy, and touchiness would have made us leave the table regardless of the coffee. I should add that no one said goodbye or thanked us as we left. They did, however, charge us the €60 for three courses. That said, I strongly advise against this place. The quality isn't worth the price. Move on.
