03/05/2026: We stumbled upon this place by chance while walking, a pleasant surprise. The owner is a perfect host, the food is very good, the prices are fair, and the place is beautiful. It's worth a visit, off the beaten path, and perhaps that's why they put so much more care and attention into it. Well done.

02/05/2026: We returned after a few years, and everything is still excellent! Both gluten-free and gluten-free meals! The appetizers include traditional cured meats and cheeses, the torta al testo and the cheesecake, both equally delicious, as is the pasta alla norcina! We ate very well and had a great time!

09/04/2026: I found a specific bottle of wine in this shop, but they gave me a vintage that had already gone bad. This is something a wine shop should know. They also charged me double the price. It's a shame, as they did have a nice collection.

10/04/2026: Four of us were friends on a trip to Assisi and had lunch at Osteria Piazzetta dell'Erba—a perfect choice! The gorgeous day allowed us to sit outside, and from there, everything was a pleasure. We were warmly welcomed and served with attention and professionalism: we felt truly pampered. The dish that everyone raved about? The strangozzi cacio e pepe with truffle, a true delight. It was one of those tables where you laugh, eat well, and never want to leave. We'll be back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

10/04/2026: The garden is beautiful, well-kept with plants and colorful, uniquely crafted lava stone tables. The brickwork throughout makes the atmosphere even more welcoming. The interior is also fantastic, with a charming and characterful dining room. The staff is truly helpful, and the food is delicious: it's definitely not a touristy place, despite the very reasonable prices. And it's worth noting: it's just 50 steps from the Basilica of Saint Francis of Assisi.

10/04/2026: I couldn't believe it: so close to the Basilica of Saint Francis of Assisi, just 50 meters away, there's such a beautiful structure. Evocative interiors with carved rock, a magnificent garden outside, and truly beautiful lava stone tables. Luckily, I took the advice: I came and had a truly wonderful meal.

12/04/2026: We ate an excellent pizza, cooked to perfection and with excellent ingredients, in the heart of Assisi, highly recommended.

08/04/2026: I came back here again to enjoy the great food and atmosphere. We came at lunch time, where we waited a little longer for our food, but we must say that we all enjoyed ourselves. The fresh fish was amazing.....the homemade pasta tasted like grandma's and everything was just great. I will definitely come back here again when I pass by.

07/04/2026: I had Easter lunch with my mother and sister. They reserved a spot on the terrace for us without asking, simply because we were among the first to book! Dining on the terrace is a real treat. The terrace is truly a gem, overlooking the Piazza del Comune, is spacious, and has a panoramic view. The food was truly delicious and carefully prepared, despite the fixed menu specifically for Easter. This isn't always the case, and this made us appreciate the professionalism of the owners, who are also very friendly. We recommend this place both for its historic character and for the pleasant, convivial atmosphere: excellent food and a professional yet warm welcome.

19/04/2026: We trusted Michele, the waiter who served us. He recommended the main dishes, and we didn't regret it. Mopping up the bread was a must—everything was delicious!

26/03/2026: Drawn by this restaurant with its vaulted ceilings and exposed stone, we entered for dinner, sampling some typical Umbrian dishes. Scrambled eggs with truffles and torta al testo, followed by truffle strangozzi, paired with a fine Montefalco Sagrantino. These delicious dishes completely satisfied us.

16/03/2026: Kudos to the waiter. The food could be improved. We ordered pasta, but it wasn't very hot (though the flavor was good). We ordered the soft-centered tart for dessert, but it was overcooked. It wasn't soft-centered and was almost burnt on the outside.

The welcome I received from one of the owners was empathetic, and I expressed my deep appreciation for managing such an important business. It takes commitment and passion, adding value to their land and their history, passed down through generations. Only those who can observe the imperfect nature can understand the true work that goes into making this location special. Not only for themselves, but also for those who are welcomed. 30/04/2026: I discovered "Le Mandrie" by pure chance. You arrive and are captivated by an unexpected view of the valley. A family atmosphere, from the staff to the facility, and a cuisine that can't really be described. You can smell the oil, taste every spice, and the meats are excellent, especially for their quality. We dined there two nights, the first by chance and the second by choice (we thought carefully, and no one could have matched that). The owner's empathy, the passion evident in the presentation, and the fact that, even though I require gluten-free and dairy-free options, I can eat 90% of the dishes on the menu. Truffled tagliolini, mutton stew, cured meats, cheeses, tagliatelle with goose ragù, agretti, and wild greens. The bitters, including those made in-house, with fennel and gentian, and then the delicious passito. We will definitely be back. I didn't rate the rooms because we didn't stay there. Many thanks to the entire "Le Mandrie" family.

06/04/2026: After a lovely trip to the city of Assi, we decided to have lunch just outside the center to enjoy the view and the tranquility. We couldn't have found a better place than this. The staff were friendly and the food was excellent, and having a 3-year-old, it couldn't have been better to find outdoor play equipment for him. Trampoline, swings, slide, slide. Everything was top-notch.

28/03/2026: When we wanted to eat dinner, they set us up at a table in the basement because the owner was there with his personal guests. We left without eating.

26/04/2026: After our pilgrimage in Assisi, we went here for lunch. The staff was exceptionally kind, welcoming us warmly and helpfully (almost like volunteers, with all the heart they put into it!). The torta al testo was simply delicious, fragrant, and rich in flavor. We also tried the San Francesco (or local) craft beer: truly strong and full of character, perfect for those who love bold flavors. A place I highly recommend to all pilgrims! 24/04/2026: During a trip to Assisi with the Diocese of Rome, I went here to get an exceptional—I can now say—sandwich with wild boar ham and olive oil. Simple, good, exactly what I was looking for. A little pricey, perhaps, but there aren't even any supermarkets here in Assisi, so it's not surprising. My friends were able to wait outside without getting impatient; in fact, in no time, my sandwich was ready to be enjoyed. Excellent, highly recommended!!!

27/01/2026: It's a shame we only spent one night here: the rooms were very clean, the bed had a comfortable mattress and pillows, the breakfast was excellent, both sweet and savory, and there was the option of a delicious dinner in their restaurant. Above all, the helpfulness, kindness, and warm welcome of the entire family and staff stood out—truly exceptional!
