Drawn by this restaurant with its vaulted ceilings and exposed stone, we entered for dinner, sampling some typical Umbrian dishes.
Scrambled eggs with truffles and torta al testo, followed by truffle strangozzi, paired with a fine Montefalco Sagrantino.
These delicious dishes completely satisfied us.

Kudos to the waiter. The food could be improved. We ordered pasta, but it wasn't very hot (though the flavor was good). We ordered the soft-centered tart for dessert, but it was overcooked. It wasn't soft-centered and was almost burnt on the outside.

Taverna de l'Arco is located in a very characteristic, ancient setting that feels like a step back in time, yet is also welcoming and relaxing, ideal for a peaceful meal... accompanied by soft background music.
We dined here two evenings, enjoying appetizers, first courses, second courses, side dishes, wine, and desserts. Everything was delicious, and the prices were absolutely in line with the quality of the ingredients. I recommend the strangozzi with truffles, the sautéed vegetables, and the mixed grill. The dishes are generous.
The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, attentive to every guest's needs.

Good food, but I'm not giving it five stars only because a starter on the menu was no longer available and a dessert I wanted to try was already sold out. Local, authentic ingredients, beautifully cooked and plated. The waiter was very kind and attentive.

Despite its hidden location, the place is magnificent!
We had a really good time. The staff were welcoming and friendly, the food excellent, the wait time was just right for the dishes being prepared, and the bill was perfectly in line with the prices. We even asked for changes, and they were patient in making everything!
We'll definitely be back!

Not overlooking the busiest streets of Assisi, you can enjoy a quiet and peaceful atmosphere, fully enjoying the dishes on offer, and you'll never be disappointed. We'd like to give a special shout-out to the waiter, who's always smiling, friendly, and professional.

We had lunch at Taverna de l'Arco today and had a truly wonderful time. The restaurant is very welcoming and quaint, with a warm and pleasant atmosphere in the heart of Assisi's historic center. We ate wonderfully: excellent local cured meats and cheeses, truly delicious truffle-based pasta dishes, and quality ingredients. Everything was carefully prepared and beautifully presented. Friendly service and a relaxing atmosphere.
