13/09/2025: The owners are incredibly kind and attentive. The food is top-notch, even for me, who isn't vegan! We've been several times, and I must say I've always eaten excellently and always felt right at home! Well done, guys! I recommend it to everyone!

09/09/2025: Perhaps because we were having dinner before closing time, the waitress rushed us to order at 8:30 because the kitchen closed! "At 8:30!" The menu was limited and completely inconsistent with the published menu. It lacked vegetables and legumes, offering bland options like soy, tempeh, seitan, carbonara, etc. They were cooked well, yes, but if you go to Lidl, you can find everything and cook it at home in minutes. This is meant as a tip for the management. Vegans want to eat traditional Italian dishes, all veganized, of course: tortelli, polenta, mushrooms, strangolapreti, canederli, etc. So, from two chefs who have been VEGAN for over twenty years, a three-star rating is primarily for supporting a cuisine free from suffering.

21/09/2025: We happened to be driving past and wanted to stop for a bit. We were surprised by what we got. The Hugo (alcohol-free) was very refreshing and deliciously summery. I highly recommend the apple strudel and especially the chocolate-pear cake. Large pieces and very tasty! The service was attentive. We also got a small snack on the house with our order, which was also very nice.

10/09/2025: Our favorite refuge and a must-see after the outward journey to Corvara. Nestled in a lush green landscape, surrounded by goats, donkeys, and rabbits. The food is excellent, from the pasta dishes to the sandwiches, and the service is attentive and friendly. See you next year!

01/12/2025: Excellent food, straight from the display case to your plate! Small but well-maintained, the atmosphere is friendly and helpful.

27/11/2025: As the name suggests, it's a butcher shop converted into a beautiful and welcoming restaurant. Of course, they serve meat! Burgers, ribs, steaks, and fillets. What a great idea!

17/10/2025: Enchanting refuge and hotel nestled in the tranquility of the Dolomite peaks. Far from noise and traffic. A central hub for excursions to other refuges. Ample parking reserved for guests. Wonderful menu featuring local specialties and a wide selection of wines and beers. Comfortable and cozy rooms with panoramic views. Outdoor veranda seating, plenty of entertainment for small children.

12/10/2025: We arrived at this refuge expecting to eat! It was actually 2:30 PM. We're used to refuge service lasting until at least 4 PM. We paid for parking, which was completely for nothing, considering that the kitchen not only closed at 2 PM but was also being used for a wedding reception that was taking place shortly thereafter. It was truly disappointing, having heard good things about it, but we definitely don't recommend it, and not only will we not be returning.

12/11/2025: Pizzeria/restaurant with traditional cuisine, really fast service, and a very comprehensive menu. Both the pizzas and the restaurant menu are good, and the prices are very fair! The only advice I can give...remove the oregano from 90% of the pizzas! 😅

28/10/2025: Small but perfectly formed. Great atmosphere, delicious food. Highly recommended. You can practically look over the chef's shoulder from the street.

26/10/2025: You can eat inside or outside, which I recommend as the view of the two lakes and the mountains is enchanting. Ideal place for families with children. Typical Trentino dishes, a selection of wines, and fabulous desserts. Ample parking. Reservations are recommended. After your meal, the panoramic viewpoint, reached by an easy walk of about an hour, is not to be missed.

18/10/2025: My family and I went to an event where Matteo Bensi was playing for the first time! Aside from the event itself, which was truly wonderful, we had a great time with the staff! The owners and employees were incredibly kind and exuded a sense of calm and kindness that very few places have! I highly recommend going! We'll be back very soon.

28/10/2025: Must try, I recommend it, especially the ribs with sautéed potatoes, or the tagliatelle with chanterelles, if you pass by those wonderful places stop at the Ochsenhütte and enjoy your lunch

24/10/2025: The ambiance was fantastic, and the service was very friendly and efficient. The bacon platter was good value for money! The bread basket that came with the bacon platter tasted stale. The cheese sandwich was an outrage for the price. I was expecting a delicious bread with toppings, but instead, I got a rubbery roll, WITHOUT butter, and a few slices of cheese. Next time, I'll go somewhere else. 😊

19/10/2025: A truly relaxing getaway. Very comfortable and modernly furnished rooms with beautiful mountain views. The fresh scent of pine wood fills the air. Excellent food selection and very attentive service, plus a wide range of saunas and baths. Excellent and free public transport connections for the region. Hiking trails start right behind the hotel.

19/10/2025: Everything feels very familiar here. Your hotel, the rooms, the wellness area, the food, and the staff are simply fantastic 🤩 We always love coming back and are already looking forward to our next stay 😊

26/10/2025: The Hoamat is a beautiful inn in a fantastic location, and on a previous visit, I gave it a 5-star rating. However, the day before yesterday, we had the "Knödelroas with Beer Tasting" event, and if, like most of our group of six, you were there for the first time, that's not advertising and gives no reason to come back. Firstly, we had reserved a table for six and ended up sitting very, very close together with six other guests. When we complained, the waitress told us it was always like that, but then said she would try to find a solution. The manager replied, "Then we wouldn't be allowed to come to an event like that." Secondly, you had to wait in line for at least 15 minutes for the dumpling buffet. This could certainly be solved better by setting up two buffet rows. We had the impression that they were cramming as many people as possible into the restaurant to maximize profit. Whether this is a long-term benefit is another question.

24/10/2025: We were at the Bier&Knödl-Roas (Beer & Dumpling Roas) in the Hoamat, and the young waiter (Benjamin) was world-class. Very friendly, quick, and full of energy. A great guy.

13/11/2025: There were three of us at the campsite. It's true the pitches are rather long than wide, and extending the awning makes it a tight fit, but we're not deducting any points for that. The cleanliness throughout was fantastic, the staff incredibly friendly, the surroundings beautiful, the pizza delicious, and the bistro equally great! The range of games and activities left nothing to be desired and delighted the children. We would be happy to stay here again.

03/11/2025: We spent three nights at the campsite at the end of October. One thing to know: the pitches are very long and rather narrow. Due to the weather, we didn't extend our awning, but it would have been a tight fit anyway. We really enjoyed the sauna. Our daughter loved the forest playground and the indoor play area. The sanitary facilities were very nice and clean! The pizza was delicious, and the bistro is also highly recommended. ☺️ We had bad luck with the weather, but the surrounding area is very beautiful. It's also great that so many cable cars and other attractions are included with the South Tyrol Card.
