02/10/2025: Surprised by the recommendation of the owner, but he got the credit. He suggested to take instead of bistec alla fiorentino small portion which is thinner and not cut but the slices. When he didn’t asked whether I want it medium or rate, I was expecting a disappointment, but it wasn’t. It was just what I like. The wine of the house is good, you just need to it to stay little longer in the glass.

09/09/2025: Adorable! And Delicious. This little spot was such a gem we stumbled upon. The husband wife couple running the place are so cute. The lasagne was to die for. Their menu had some fun options. We were so grateful to find this place while wandering the town.

23/05/2025: Abbiamo cenato per il nostro anniversario di nozze . Il luogo é stupendo, vista incantevole così come il tramonto . Il cibo ottimo ed il prezzo interessante. La mise en place raffinata e se si ha freddo viene offerta una coperta . Lo consiglio vivamente .

07/09/2025: Simply spectacular! La Terrazza della Val d’Orcia offers an unforgettable experience: a breathtaking view of the valley, accompanied by authentic Tuscan dishes prepared with seasonal ingredients. The Pici cacio e pepe pasta stands out for the quality of the pasta and its perfect cooking, but the extra touch is the addition of truffle, which pairs perfectly, making the dish indescribable. Unfortunately, several traditional dishes and some ingredients were sold out, which is why we were unable to enjoy some dishes. The service is courteous and attentive, with attention to animals as well. Prices are average for the area. The waits are a bit long, but this is something that can be worked around. I recommend booking for lunch or an aperitif because in the evening the landscape is dim, almost invisible, and the restaurant's location would not be fully exploited. The only real flaw in our dinner was that the kitchen closed without warning or asking if we still wanted to order, especially considering they'd told the waiters we wanted to take our time and possibly order meat as well. However, it was still a lovely experience. Perfect for a romantic dinner or a relaxing lunch, highly recommended.

16/06/2025: Un posto molto semplice ma ben curato in una zona bellissima! La simpatia del gestore è incredibile… Si mangia davvero bene con porzioni abbondanti la qualita è davvero top! Meglio di molti posti rinomati della zona!

29/09/2025: Like every other place I visited in the Pienza area, it was fantastic. As you can imagine Italy is more of a wine forward country and I was delighted to visit a brewery and was not disappointed. It was a nice atmosphere and they had some great beers.

11/09/2025: Taproom attached to the microbrewery of the same name, located at the Agriturismo La Fonte. An idyllic location nestled in the stunning Val d'Orcia scenery, just a short distance from Pienza. Regarding beer production, this is a top-notch brewery, especially for its Anglo-Saxon beers and numerous barrel-aged beers, such as its Imperial stouts. The bottom-fermentation beers are also top-notch.

17/09/2025: The terrace view alone is worth the visit — absolutely stunning. The olive oil served with the bread was a real highlight, so flavorful. For starters, we had an unusual dish: a very slowly cooked egg with a kind of cheese foam (interesting but tasty!) and a salad. For mains, we ordered the T-bone steak, which was excellent and came with roasted vegetables, as well as pasta with truffle — also very good. For dessert, the pavlova was a bit disappointing as the meringue wasn’t right, but the caramel-filled cannolo was delicious. We paired everything with a Pinot Grigio, which was a great choice. The service was warm and attentive throughout. It was my father’s birthday, and they surprised him with a candle and “buon compleanno” written on the plate — such a lovely touch. Overall, a beautiful place with excellent food and service.

19/09/2025: Been to Italy many times and had lots of great pizzas. This place blew me away with their Capricorsa. Thin crisp base with bubbled crust and a delicious topping 10/10 at least. Staff were amazing and passionate too. Not one to miss. Pienza has many places to eat but would go back here in a blink of an eye!

18/09/2025: A super cozy place. The pizza is the BEST I've ever tried. It's spectacularly crunchy, and the ingredients are top-notch. The dough is prepared so the food doesn't feel heavy. The guys who served us are super nice, friendly, and fun, and even though they didn't speak our language, they treated us very kindly. The opening hours are super convenient, considering that everything around here closes at 9 p.m., but they extend their hours until 10:30 p.m.

12/07/2025: Siamo stati nuovamente in questo piccolo locale. Che dire, tutto veramente buono. Dagli antipasti, ai primi, ai secondi e ai dolci. Tutto veramente incredibile. Pici con pomodori e guanciale veramente ottimi. Guancia come un burro, si scioglieva letteralmente in bocca. Nn c'era bisogno di masticarla. Dolci meravigliosi. Tutto accompagnato da ottimo vino di Montepulciano. Personale e proprietario molto simpatici e attenti. Prezzi giusti per la qualità e la quantità servita. Locale super consigliato in una delle piazze più caratteristiche di Pienza. Complimenti a tutti. Ci torneremo molto presto.

01/07/2025: Restaurante muy agradable, el camarero habla excelente inglés y explica bien los platos. Iba a elegir la carne de cerdo, pero como mencionó que era un corte graso del cuello cambié de opinión ya que mi condición médica significa que no digiero la grasa fácilmente y termino en una cantidad increíble de dolor si lo como. Después de tantos años, ni siquiera me gusta el sabor pero eso es secundario y no siento la necesidad de explicar. Estoy agradecido por la información adicional, pero fue un gran salto para él volver los ojos y asumir que querría el filete bien hecho. No, medio raro está bien, simplemente no puedo arriesgarme a comer carne grasa pero me sentí juzgado.

13/06/2025: Writing a review of this 3-star "Hotel" is not easy. Yes, because, reading other reviews, apart from one, the others speak of a structure that absolutely did not reflect what we experienced. Arriving late in the evening, we were told that there was no garage, when at the time of booking, on the phone I had been confirmed the possibility of putting the motorcycle in the garage. GOOD, BUT LET'S GO IN ORDER. THE ROOMS: I WOULD FIRST NOTE THAT WE STAYED FOR TWO NIGHTS AND THE ROOM WAS NEITHER REDONE NOR CLEANED, AS THE RULES OF A 3-STAR HOTEL REQUIRE! WE TAKE THE ROOM CALLED "SUPERIOR" BECAUSE, ACCORDING TO THE MANAGEMENT, IT HAS THE LARGEST BATHROOM. ONCE WE HAVE TAKEN POSSESSION OF THE ROOM, WE REALIZE, WANT TO TAKE A SHOWER, AFTER HOURS AND HOURS OF MOTORCYCLE, THAT THE 3 STAR HOTEL DOES NOT OFFER A SIMPLE HAIR DRYER, WHICH I HAVE TO ASK FOR, THE SAME FATE FOR SHAMPOO OR SHOWER GEL, ONLY TWO, PROVIDED FOR TWO DAYS OF STAY, PRACTICALLY IF THE CUSTOMER DOESN'T ASK FOR IT, THEY SIMPLY DON'T BOTHER TO GIVE IT.. THE "SUPERIOR" ROOM HAS MOSQUITO NETS, BUT THEY OBVIOUSLY CANNOT ELIMINATE THE DANGER OF MOSQUITOES, SINCE I HAVE TO ELIMINATE REAL HELICOPTERS (I TOOK PHOTOS) WHICH FORTUNELY DO NOT STING BUT WHICH TO SEE, AND ABOVE ALL HEARING YOURSELF AT NIGHT IS NOT PLEASANT. THE SHOWER, VERY SMALL, BUT THE UNACCEPTABLE THING IS TO SEE PIGEON DROPPINGS ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE BATHROOM WINDOW! NEEDLESS TO SAY, WE HAVE KEPT THE BATHROOM WINDOW CLOSED AT ALL TIMES. FORGET ABOUT A MINI FRIDGE, FORGET ABOUT A CLOSET, BUT ONLY A COAT RACK ALONG THE WALL. THE BED: IF YOU LIKE THE 80'S METAL MESH BASE, THEN IT'S PERFECT, INCLUDING METALLIC NOISES AFTERWARDS. THE MATTRESS, INSUFFICIENT. BREAKFAST. IN MANY YEARS OF HONORABLE BIKERS ACTIVITY, I HAVE NEVER HAD SUCH A BARRELLING AND ABOVE ALL UNACCEPTABLE BREAKFAST. SHOULD I DESCRIBE IT? IT IS ENOUGH TO SAY THAT ON THE SECOND MORNING A CUSTOMER WENT TO GET CROISSANTS AT THE BAR DEL BORGO. THE MUCH-VALUED CUISINE? NOT AVAILABLE! ON THE SECOND EVENING, WE TOLD ONE OF THE GIRLS THAT WE WOULD HAVE LIKED TO DO THE HALF-BOARD MENU, BECAUSE, AS IT WAS A PIZZA ROUND EVENING AT THEIR PLACE AND WE PREFERRED TO EAT TYPICAL CUISINE, WE DID NOT FEEL LIKE EATING PIZZA. WE WERE TOLD THAT IT WAS EASILY POSSIBLE AND THEY OFFERED US SOME TORTELLINI, RABBIT....EHM....YES...TOO BAD THAT WE RETURNED AFTER LESS THAN AN HOUR, AND AFTER ASKING ANOTHER GIRL FROM THE STAFF, WE WERE LITERALLY TOLD THAT WE WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO EAT, NEITHER TORTELLINI, NOR RABBIT, NOR PIZZA! BECAUSE THE PLACE WAS BY NOW FULL. WHILE THE GIRL WAS EVEN RAISING DOUBT THAT WE HAD MADE PREVIOUS AGREEMENTS ON THE MENU, CLAIMING THAT WE HAD NOT TALKED TO HER AND THAT SHE WOULD HAVE ASKED FOR CONFIRMATION, IN THE MEANTIME SHE CONTINUED TO NOT CARE ABOUT US WHO WERE WAITING, AND CONTINUED TO PREPARE FOR THE PIZZA ROUND. WE PRACTICALLY WAITED FOR HALF AN HOUR FOR HER TO RESOLVE THE PROBLEM, AS SHE HAD SAID, FORTUNATELY THEY MANAGED TO BOOK AT A RESTAURANT NEARBY AND WE WERE ABLE TO EAT THERE, OTHERWISE WE WOULD HAVE ALSO REMAINED HUNGRY. THE NEXT DAY, WE ONLY DRINK AN ORANGE DRINK, PACKED OUR BAGS AND LEFT AWAY VERY HAPPY, TO BE ABLE TO HAVE A REAL BREAKFAST. THE ONLY THING WE LIKED? THE ATMOSPHERE, OF THE WHOLE VILLAGE. THE 3 STAR HOTEL "LA PIETRA" HAS A LONG WAY TO GO TO DEFINE ITSELF AS A 3 STAR. PS: DON'T FORGET TO ASK FOR THE WIFI PASSWORD, OTHERWISE IF YOU HOPE TO FIND THE INFORMATION IN THE ROOM LIKE ANY SELF-RESPECTING HOTEL, THEN YOU WILL HAVE A BAD SURPRISE. THERE IS NO TV, THE ONLY THING THAT IS WRITTEN ON THE SITE. THIS WAS OUR EXPERIENCE. TESTIFIED BY PHOTOS. THE PRICE IS ABSOLUTELY UNJUSTIFIED FOR WHAT THEY OFFER.
