29/04/2026: Highly recommended! We received an exceptionally warm welcome and very attentive service. We were particularly impressed by the huge selection at the open wine tasting. You can leisurely sample different wines, receive expert explanations, and never feel rushed. In my opinion, the prices are very fair, especially considering the quality and the selection. In the end, I was so impressed that I immediately chose a magnum and had it conveniently delivered to my home. A wonderful place for wine lovers, with friendly staff, a wide selection, and honest advice. We will definitely be back.

14/04/2026: Excellent Italian restaurant, lovely decor and very pleasant service. The pasta is homemade and everything is delicious, all at a reasonable price for this touristy area. I highly recommend it.

11/04/2026: 🫵🏻DANGER!!! 🫵🏻 The place seemed like a nice spot to enjoy a glass of wine on the terrace. We ordered two local Brunello wines. They don't show you a menu with prices, but when you go to pay… bam! What a rip-off!!! €20 for two wines!!!!! 🤷 We asked for the bill, and it was all itemized. What I liked most was the owner's cynical smile!!!🎁

03/05/2026: My husband and I were fortunate to arrange a last minute wine tasting which turned out to be a highlight during our trip to Italy. Aldo and staff took such great care of us and the wine and food were exquisite. I cannot wait to receive the wine that we ordered, it was phenomenal.

02/05/2026: We came for the day to do a tasting and did not stay the night. Aldo, our host and one of the owners of this family run winery, was incredibly warm and welcoming. The staff was friendly and helpful. The tour of the modern and clean wine cellar was enlightening. But the true highlight was the wine, which they clearly put a lot of heart and soul into. By the winemaker’s choice, their reds are aged in French oak for more years that what is required and this imparts some delightful and complex notes to the already amazing Sangiovese grapes. Their Rosso and Brunello are unmatched, in our experience. I feel they are small and growing and now is the time to discover them, before they blow up. We had a glass of their brunello in Rome and had to find them at their vineyard in Tuscany. We’ve been to later, more popular (and more expensive) wineries and these guys still are our favorite. The food that accompanied the wine was exquisite and made from wholly local good, many harvested right on property. I cannot speak to the rooms, but when we return to Tuscany, we plan to find out and have the full experience. I cannot say enough good about Cordella.

10/04/2026: This was surprisingly forgettable. Not awful or bad, just not memorable at all. Our waiter was probably 14 years old. Really. It was cute because it's a family run place. When I asked him for a Brunello recommendation, he had an answer with confidence, but that wine turned out to be pretty whimsy (no body) especially for a Brunello. He spilled it when he poured, and had the social skills of an eighth grader, naturally. Carpaccio was pretty good and quite generous. Bruschete was kind of bland. Margherita pizza was fair (by Italian standards). Pana Cotta was quite good. We appreciated very much that they had about a dozen wines sold by the glass. Prices were reasonable.

04/05/2026: Il Grappolo Blu is a Montalcino inn with a remarkable wine list (fitting a wedding album!!). Even though they'd already given away the table we'd reserved because we were late (parking in Montalcino during the holidays isn't exactly easy, we discovered), they managed to seat us fairly quickly. The bruschetta with cavolo nero and cannellini beans was excellent, and the rabbit in Brunello sauce and pici pasta were delightful. The wines are reasonably priced. The service wasn't the most attentive, and there could be room for improvement in terms of customer service.

15/05/2026: Good food, very attentive service. The only downside was that the desserts weren't great, but they weren't bad either.

06/05/2026: The waiter was rude. We wanted to sit outside, but he said we couldn't because it might rain. Then he slammed the door behind my mom. Very rude service. I recommend the bar next door.

20/10/2025: An experience not to be repeated...we waited an hour and a half for a plate of penne with tomato sauce and a chicken breast...and the place was practically empty. As soon as we'd eaten our dish, we, like the other three diners, went to pay without even getting our coffee!

15/10/2025: Delicious pizza and friendly service! Our dog was even allowed to come along :)
