03/04/2024: We booked the Superior King room for two nights (March 24-25). The structure is very beautiful: it is surrounded by greenery, renovated, has very few rooms and is ideal for those looking for a bit of tranquility. In the distance there is a road that is slightly busy (during working hours, otherwise no vehicles), but the noise of the cars is practically a buzz that disappears completely in the room: the fixtures are new and isolate the room from these sounds. We liked the room a lot: large, bright and clean. The presence of air conditioning and radiators which can be managed independently is also excellent. To get to the farmhouse you have to travel along a dirt road of about 2 km, but it is sufficient to maintain a medium-low speed to avoid any problems. The farmhouse is in a strategic position to visit all the most interesting places in the Val d'Orcia, such as Pienza, Montalcino, Monticchiello, etc... It is truly ideal for those who want to see these places. We thank the staff who were very kind and helpful

20/03/2024: Amazing place, amidst the hills and tranquility. Spacious and comfortable rooms. Mr. Aldo always helpful and kind. The visit to the cellar and the tasting is an experience absolutely worth trying! Highly recommended!

29/03/2024: Outstanding offer, standard prices (compared to other wine shops), excellent service and authentic, local cuisine (all homemade). But: anyone who has no idea about wine vinification processes and the local specialties will be disappointed. If you're looking for cheap alcohol and wines of a quality class from the Palatinate, you're better off going somewhere else...

02/04/2024: We went to this small wine shop for an aperitif on Easter Eve and had a great time. Excellent service and great courtesy. Excellent platters and bruschetta and wine, of their own production, of excellent quality. When we come to Montalcino we will definitely return.

17/03/2024: Lunch on a Thursday in March, after the visit to the Abbey of Sant'Antimo. Vintage place from the 80s, now certain things have made the rounds and are appreciated, clean and tidy. Lady who manages with little help. Homemade pici with Chianina ragù that deserve to go specifically to that place! Not to be missed!

17/03/2024: We passed with the motorbike, at first glance it seems like an AMARCOD... a place that recalls an old tavern from times gone by, as do the 3 ladies; But eating is a real pain... a plate of cheese starters (€6.00) consisting of 4 pieces of pecoriano cheese placed on a cross and cut in half, practically in two we ate 4 whole slices, first course of PICi at €13 (passed off as homemade home...whose house wouldn't I know?!) ugly and overcooked considering that I'm from the AREA...the PICI know well what they are!!..the sauce can be saved in the end for the shoe! WE Escaped without coffee and dessert...all €41.00! Move on, listen to me...there's better.

29/02/2024: We went to visit Montalcino and it was time to eat, it was low season and many places were closed, it had good reviews and we went in. The restaurant was full of workers which is usually a good sign. It is a very small restaurant and all the tables are quite close together. Being small and the Italians don't speak softly, it is a little noisy, but it is something very typical of the area. It didn't bother me at all because if it bothered me I wouldn't have eaten. nowhere during my trip through Tuscany. Because of the similarity of the waiters and the way they interact with the kitchen, I would say that it is a family restaurant. The products that were coming out to the other tables looked very good and the menu looked good. They had a very wide selection of wines with many options for the same price range, so I asked the waiter for a recommendation and he brought us a pretty good wine. We opted to share a selection of cold cuts and toast and then try the Florentine meat, which in the end is like a stone-grilled steak here. The products were all very good, the desserts were really disappointing, the tiramisu was not bad, but for the area it was in, expectations were quite high. The rest is nothing but the truth. The price is in line with most of the area, people say that Tuscany is cheap because they are small towns and if you eat quality products it is not cheap. For what we ate with coffee included, I can't say it was expensive, really, quite in line with the product we ate.

04/01/2024: Ci siamo fermati per caso, situato in in piccolo borgo.antipasti ottimi, anche i primi piatti. Ambiente molto caratteristico!

04/01/2024: La trattoria ci era stata consigliata ma devo dire che siamo rimasti un po’ delusi. Non abbiamo mangiato male ma è stato un pranzo…. banale. Tranne il prezzo eccessivo per quello che abbiamo mangiato: un antipasto (ottimi affettati ma il resto di scarso livello) due primi (pici , anzi pinci all’aglione, e Pincio con pancetta, pecorino e pomodorini) ed un secondo in due ( misto di formaggi con confetture e miele…. banalissimo) , un tris di sorbetto (tranne quello al limone il resto è stato lasciato) , due calici mignon di vino (uno di Brunello ed uno di Chardonnay)….. il tutto quasi 50€ a testa. Eccessivo. Personale cordiale. In zona ho avuto esperienze migliori.

10/01/2024: pranzo improvvisato poiché aperto in quel momento dopo le vacanze la signora ci ha preparato una ribollita da sballo e dei pici al ragù ottimi buon vino buono il dolce, e buon prezzo bravi

13/11/2023: Partecipanti: Gruppo Camminatori di Buttigliera Alta TOASL3 (TO). Locanda in un sito caratteristico con un panorama fantastico tipicamente toscano. Accoglienza calorosa da parte del titolare e del figlio. Tavoli per 42 presenze già apparecchiati con varietà di ottimi salumi e formaggi. A seguire: pici alla boscaiola, roast beef al forno con patate, tiramisu, ottimamente preparati e annaffiati da un ottimo rosso di qualità. Ogni portata replicata 2/3 volte sempre con gentilezza e cortesia.
