11/02/2025: We went there after hearing about it for the gluten free pizzas. There were 4 of us, 2 celiacs and 2 without intolerances. We got 2 appetizers and 3 pizzas and a folded pizza. Everything was very good, even the gluten-free dough!! On the desserts perhaps the taste could be improved a little. However, 5 stars are deserved. Compliments.

08/02/2025: Very good pizza, original and with quality ingredients. I don't quite understand why 4 of us can but 6 of us can't order the fixed price menu with the various tastings and dessert. There is a coat hanger missing in the covered loggia, from personal experience I stood up for a moment and the chair suddenly overturned due to the excessive weight of the coat folded on the backrest... otherwise everything was perfect.

10/03/2025: If it was a regular restaurant without the expectation due to its name, I would have given three stars out of five, but the disappointment was profound. Although the atmosphere was good, nice people and relaxed ambiance, the meat quality was not even close to any elevated standard. Probably at a level of cheap supermarket un-matured stock. I really do not understand the excitement about this restaurant apart of the nice marketing stance. Not only that the cuts were poor, they were not accurate and correctly cut. I do not suppose it’s due to luck of knowledge, but rather luck of respect. It was very sad for us, as we came half way across the globe to be there.

11/03/2025: Great quality food and service. I personally had a fillet and it was very tender with perfect cooking and the right flavor, one of the best I've ever tasted. I will try the steak next time, however, stopping for lunch at this restaurant is a must

09/03/2025: Had dinner on Saturday 8th in this place which disappointed expectations... The only positive note was the girls who served the tables..... We ordered 3 first courses, 2 truffle tagliatelle and 1 pumpkin gnocchi with basil pesto... Dishes we left... We ran away with an excuse and went back because the bill was wrong... Error? Probably yes.... I want to hope for them and their clientele on a bad evening... I will not return and will not recommend it to friends...

25/03/2025: Unforgettable experience, welcome with unlimited glasses of wine and amazing crostini with Chianti butter. Initial parade with contribution from the legendary cecchini. Lunch begins like this: abundant wine, water, vegetable dip, bread, oil and more, more. We chose the fixed 50 euro officina menu. Excellent cuts of meat, a delight with every dish. Friendliness, fun, good meat are the basis of this place. Must try to believe!! The overwhelming spirit of Tuscany is from cecchini!!!!

In my ten years as a wedding photographer, I’ve seen many stunning venues, but Castello Vicchiomaggio truly stands out. The location was breathtaking, and the service was exceptional. Even without a wedding planner, everything ran smoothly thanks to the meticulous planning of the venue’s team. I sincerely hope to capture another wedding at this incredible place in the future.

05/02/2025: I went to celebrate my 80th birthday. It was wonderful. The reception was great and we were very well looked after. The food and wine were perfect and the dessert was divine. An unforgettable day.

21/02/2025: Order one of the old wines, one that requires a decanter, and Mustaf will take care of you opening and properly decanting it so you can properly enjoy it. The food is great and matches the excellent wines. And beautiful as expected.

30/10/2024: Charming welcome! We were warned that there would be a bit of a wait and we were served within minutes! Very good cuisine (a perfect piece of beef with a generous garnish of porcini mushrooms, excellent desserts, all served quickly, ideal when you are on a bike. Bravo to the two ladies who run the establishment.

25/03/2025: Unique experience at Antica Macelleria di Dario Cecchini! Playful and engaging atmosphere, attentive and friendly staff. The meat? Simply extraordinary: excellent raw materials and perfect cooking. The icing on the cake, a chat with the king of meat himself, Dario Cecchini, always friendly and passionate. A lunch that is much more than a meal: it's a real show!

27/10/2024: I came with a group to visit the winery and have lunch (no accommodation). The family members of the winery introduced all the production processes in detail, paired with beautiful scenery and exquisite cuisine. I really enjoyed this trip, especially the tasting of the red wine with the Black Rooster logo.
