18/10/2025: A simple charcuterie plate and a glass of Chianti - a lovely afternoon treat! There were six types of cured meats and two local cheeses on the small platter. The woman helping spoke some English and was very nice and accommodating. All in all a great, low key experience!

27/09/2025: A pleasant surprise!! Quality cured meats and cheeses?! Normal prices. We ordered a large cured meats and cheese platter, costing 18 euros. Really good. Worth it!! Fresh bread!!

26/07/2025: Very nice atmosphere and food. Very welcoming host. It would have been 5 stars but the fact that you get your dinner with no menu or prices is a bit of a problem.

26/06/2025: Review is about the dinner - didn’t stay at the B&B. First of all it’s CASH ONLY. Just a fyi. Basically they will serve you various courses for about 40€ a head. All the food was clearly fresh and excellently prepared. We had various appetizers, 4 different pastas, 3 different meats and two different desserts

03/03/2026: A small, intimate restaurant with provincial flair. This is mostly a one-man show so the menu is a bit limited but the food is on-point. The menu is all in Italian but with Google, we know how to translate and the waitstaff could probably help you navigate through. The sglitto di manzo (braised beef cheek) was very rich and flavorful, as was the tartuffo tagliatelle. Tiramisu made for an excellent end to my meal! To note: If in need of green veggies, it is not always available. This place operates in limited space but trust you will get food indicative of local flavors.

19/02/2026: The welcome wasn't exactly cheerful (perhaps because it was Sunday?), but the food made up for it. Very good bruschetta with pecorino cheese and pears, the ribollita was perfect, and the "sfilato di Chianina" (braised cheek) was out of this world: I've never tasted meat so tender, it melted in your mouth. And then there was the amazing hand-crafted Chianina tartare in a pecorino sauce with generous sprinklings of grated truffle. All washed down with an excellent half bottle of Cortona Syrah. The kitchen is in the middle of one of the three dining rooms, and the chef is tireless—a real spectacle. The bill? Just over €30 per person.

27/09/2025: Good food and good wine—that's what dinner should be like. And that's exactly what it was. The staff were very friendly, witty, and entertaining, creating a pleasant atmosphere. The selection of food and drinks was good, and everything was reasonably priced. The food was tasty, as was everything else. The decor is very pleasant, typically Italian and not too touristy. Perfect. A lovely, natural Italian restaurant with very good value for money.

05/06/2025: Parto dalla fine; cena all'aperto, in un cortile molto curato e ben allestito, e quindi entro nel locale per pagare. Wow, sono rimasto a bocca aperta, più di 2000 etichette tra vini, gin e altri liquori. La cena è stata ottima, piatti veramente ben cucinati e belli. Qualità notevole. Servizio assolutamente ineccepibile. Ci tornerò sicuramente.

22/12/2025: The service was terrible from the moment we arrived. At first, it felt like the staff were deliberately ignoring us. After a long wait, a bag of stale bread was literally dropped in the middle of the table—no olive oil, no plates, nothing. We had to ask for basic accompaniments, and even that required another long wait just to get someone’s attention. We already knew what we wanted to order. Yes, the prices were high, but the restaurant looked beautiful, so we expected the quality and service to justify it. Unfortunately, it did not. We ordered a bistecca chianina and lamb chops. Both dishes were extremely disappointing. The bistecca, priced at €70 per kilo, was shockingly bad, after trying it you would expect the €70 was for the whole cow. One side was burnt, the cut was of very poor quality, and the meat was unbelievably tough. It was, without exaggeration, the worst piece of meat I have ever eaten. My family and I had to spit it out and ended up leaving about 90% of it untouched. The lamb chops were also burnt on one side, and all we could taste was char. We forced ourselves to eat them only because we were hungry. We informed the waitress about the issue, and she seemed to understand. However, when the bill arrived, we were shocked to see the full €70 bistecca charged. When we explained that it wasn’t fair to charge us for a dish we barely ate due to its quality, her response was: “If you wanted a free meal, you should have said so.” That comment was incredibly unprofessional. I wasn’t looking for a free meal—I expected food that was at least edible. This was, without a doubt, the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. The only positive thing I can say is that the place itself is beautiful. Unfortunately, everything else fell far short.

09/12/2025: High-quality, well-cooked meat! Delicious side dishes: the Tuscan tondini, grilled potatoes, and chicory with fava bean puree! Polite and competent service. An excellent glass of Sangiovese! The owner is enlightened and open to new ideas, yet deeply rooted in the true traditions of the area, those of value and values! A food and wine experience in the splendid setting of Cortona, an Etruscan city of art and artists, with shops that graciously offer typical local products, from trusted Florentines to the scents of the Tuscan countryside! A wonderful memory!

06/12/2025: Terrible. We ordered: bruschetta, good, focaccia, good, and ribollita. The waitress came over, took the dishes from the shelf behind us, microwaved them for 5 minutes, and voilà. Disgraceful. Change your job.

25/11/2025: The location is adjacent to the highway, yet nestled in a quiet setting. It's also very close to the town of Cortona, making it an excellent choice for logistics. Excellent for a one-night stopover. The breakfast was good, and the staff were very friendly. The rooms are a bit dated and in need of renovation. The windowless bathroom had no ventilation. If we had chosen this hotel for a few days, it would have left us a bit skeptical.

02/10/2025: It's a nice hotel; it was full when I was there. Breakfast is from about 6:30 to 9:30, looks well-prepared, and has a reasonable selection, including some Italian fare.

12/03/2026: This is a classic Italian coffee shop offering pastries and small sandwiches. Pasta and other quick lunch options are available.

26/02/2026: Strange place, but in a good way... Lots of variety at a good price, friendly and helpful staff... They even have coloring pencils!! 🎨

20/10/2025: Wonderful place. My wife and I stopped here on a day trip in Cortona and we were greeted warmly by the owner, Emma. The cappuccino and pastries were very good, but the pizza was absolutely delicious. The restaurant is small but inviting and fills up quickly. It was a highlight of our trip for sure. I hope we get the chance to return someday!

16/10/2025: I only brought four regular pastries. My daughter bought them. Maybe that's why they cost €14... rip-off.
