05/06/2025: Parto dalla fine; cena all'aperto, in un cortile molto curato e ben allestito, e quindi entro nel locale per pagare. Wow, sono rimasto a bocca aperta, più di 2000 etichette tra vini, gin e altri liquori. La cena è stata ottima, piatti veramente ben cucinati e belli. Qualità notevole. Servizio assolutamente ineccepibile. Ci tornerò sicuramente.

29/11/2025: At this pizzeria and restaurant, just steps from the Terontola train station, I've often ordered Margherita pizzas for takeout on Sunday lunch. The place has a family feel, very simple and tidy. My review is therefore limited to the quality of the takeout pizza—thin and crispy—which I think is good, and the service, which is always very quick and courteous, with advance phone calls. Good value. Parking is available nearby.

03/01/2026: Excellent, very characteristic little restaurant just off the lively medieval streets of Cortona. The entrance is just across from the theater tavern, with a small window display. The decor is typical of village taverns, with a wide selection of wines and an à la carte menu featuring a few dishes, all typical of the area. The pici, Chianina beef tartare, and the lemon cake of the day are excellent. The service from the two young staff is friendly, and the chef is excellent. The restrooms and restaurant are very clean. Unfortunately, they don't take reservations (not even from people they know). Arrive just before the standard lunch and dinner times.

06/10/2025: We stumbled upon this small restaurant by chance during a visit to Cortona. The ambiance and service were fine. What was a bit disconcerting were the small portions and the high prices. Each of us had a small piece of lasagna (palm-sized, small hands) and a small beer and a Coke. We spent €30, but we weren't really full. A shame.

22/12/2025: The service was terrible from the moment we arrived. At first, it felt like the staff were deliberately ignoring us. After a long wait, a bag of stale bread was literally dropped in the middle of the table—no olive oil, no plates, nothing. We had to ask for basic accompaniments, and even that required another long wait just to get someone’s attention. We already knew what we wanted to order. Yes, the prices were high, but the restaurant looked beautiful, so we expected the quality and service to justify it. Unfortunately, it did not. We ordered a bistecca chianina and lamb chops. Both dishes were extremely disappointing. The bistecca, priced at €70 per kilo, was shockingly bad, after trying it you would expect the €70 was for the whole cow. One side was burnt, the cut was of very poor quality, and the meat was unbelievably tough. It was, without exaggeration, the worst piece of meat I have ever eaten. My family and I had to spit it out and ended up leaving about 90% of it untouched. The lamb chops were also burnt on one side, and all we could taste was char. We forced ourselves to eat them only because we were hungry. We informed the waitress about the issue, and she seemed to understand. However, when the bill arrived, we were shocked to see the full €70 bistecca charged. When we explained that it wasn’t fair to charge us for a dish we barely ate due to its quality, her response was: “If you wanted a free meal, you should have said so.” That comment was incredibly unprofessional. I wasn’t looking for a free meal—I expected food that was at least edible. This was, without a doubt, the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. The only positive thing I can say is that the place itself is beautiful. Unfortunately, everything else fell far short.

09/12/2025: High-quality, well-cooked meat! Delicious side dishes: the Tuscan tondini, grilled potatoes, and chicory with fava bean puree! Polite and competent service. An excellent glass of Sangiovese! The owner is enlightened and open to new ideas, yet deeply rooted in the true traditions of the area, those of value and values! A food and wine experience in the splendid setting of Cortona, an Etruscan city of art and artists, with shops that graciously offer typical local products, from trusted Florentines to the scents of the Tuscan countryside! A wonderful memory!

19/08/2025: Well, a pizza to forget. The place is worth it because it's fresh, and in addition to pizza, they serve good steaks with potatoes. The bill, paid in cash, is confusing and approximate. I'll avoid returning, and maybe see you next year.

The selection of food and drinks was good, and everything was reasonably priced. The food was tasty, as was everything else. The decor is very pleasant, typically Italian and not too touristy. Perfect. A lovely, natural Italian restaurant with very good value for money.

25/11/2025: The location is adjacent to the highway, yet nestled in a quiet setting. It's also very close to the town of Cortona, making it an excellent choice for logistics. Excellent for a one-night stopover. The breakfast was good, and the staff were very friendly. The rooms are a bit dated and in need of renovation. The windowless bathroom had no ventilation. If we had chosen this hotel for a few days, it would have left us a bit skeptical.

02/10/2025: It's a nice hotel; it was full when I was there. Breakfast is from about 6:30 to 9:30, looks well-prepared, and has a reasonable selection, including some Italian fare.

06/12/2025: Terrible. We ordered: bruschetta, good, focaccia, good, and ribollita. The waitress came over, took the dishes from the shelf behind us, microwaved them for 5 minutes, and voilà. Disgraceful. Change your job.

20/10/2025: Wonderful place. My wife and I stopped here on a day trip in Cortona and we were greeted warmly by the owner, Emma. The cappuccino and pastries were very good, but the pizza was absolutely delicious. The restaurant is small but inviting and fills up quickly. It was a highlight of our trip for sure. I hope we get the chance to return someday!

01/09/2025: Different prices, different days!!! On August 30, 2025, we stopped for breakfast. The price of a croissant was €1.50, and the cappuccino was €1.80. Almost surprised to find prices in line with the market, we decided to return on September 1, 2025. However, when it came time to pay, I noticed that the prices had increased. I went out and checked the receipt and immediately noticed that the croissants were charged €2 each and the cappuccino was €2.50. It seems impossible to me that in less than 48 hours, prices could have increased by this percentage, and even more unlikely that the prices for what we consumed were incorrectly set by those who work in this profession. The only thing I can think of is that there could be a rate for residents and one for tourists, and that on the first day, the "local" rate was applied by mistake. This is obviously my personal opinion, and I don't want or have time to engage in a lengthy discussion, nor do I want to let this pass without letting the "kind gentleman" know that people aren't stupid. So I go back into the restaurant and teasingly point out the price difference, saying, "Since I don't want you to think we're taking advantage of you, I'll give you the same amount less than I paid the day before yesterday compared to today's prices," and I leave the coins at the register. Yes, I gave him money, and yes, I had the satisfaction of making it clear that customers deserve respect. It takes a thoughtful mind to understand my gesture, but I'm confident the message was understood. He might even be sued for the price difference for the same service and drink.
