Bar 500 In Cortona

Love this place! Food is great, drinks are great and the owners are amazing!

We absolutely love this place! We had a week stay in Cortona and have visited this place 3 times. The food is amazing, the lasagna, pesto pizza, sausage pizza and Caprese salad have been our favorites. The owners are the sweetest people we've met. If you get a chance make sure to stop here and grab a bite of food with great company.

We had a lovely meal here. I recommend the bread with ham and cheese. It comes with a salad and chips. Yum!

Emma is incredible! So welcoming to these TX tourists!! If you are ever in Cortona, you must visit Emma.

Loved Bar 500 for the food, service, and outdoor seating. Rob and Ema provide amazing service. Rob is very funny and insightful. Look forward to returning and hoping to visit them in England as well!

This little place was one of the high points of our Cortona, Italy stay over the Easter weekend! Our first encounter was late one evening heading back to condo, shops had closed and we really wanted a pistachio cannoli that they make. The ow we was so sweet and said they were close but if we paid cash we could buy a few. The cannolis were divine. Since we liked it we decided to go back a couple days later for breakfast. We officially met the owners. Emma first and she is so personable more than anyone we met yet! We got to learn her story and then her husband Rob came in and he was fun as well. She's Italian and he's from Liverpool. They have great food, great atmosphere and we noticed several "locals" stop in. I would definitely go there again if I'm ever in Cortona again and hope some day the two of them will come to the USA. And visit us! Thank you Rob and Emma for making our visit to Cortona great!

Typical tourist-trap pricing but service was excellent. We ended up here because it was a busy afternoon and most other places were full up. Spent a little more than I would have liked to, but the food was tasty and filling. Probably not the best option in the area but if you end up in need of lunch and everything else it full you will be fine stopping in here.

If you want the real Italian coffee experience in Cortona in an authentic Cafe you must try Bar 500! The owners are exceptionally nice and provide not only the perfect Italian coffee experience but can be very educational. It is by far the best casual food in town. We tried all the options and Bar 500 is the place we kept going back to for more.

Rob and his wife Emma were lovely owners. This was our favorite cafe for breakfast in Cortona. The croissants were fresh and the space was lovely. Can’t wait to come back.
