21/09/2025: On the recommendation of friends, we went to this osteria. The dish we had to try was the Chianti risotto. Our expectations were very high, and we can say they were fully met. It's an unexpected dish (in the realm of pici and lasagna), and we'd definitely recommend it. Be warned, cinnamon is one of the ingredients. We'll be back on our next visit to Cortona.

02/06/2026: A gem in Cortona: tradition, lightness, and a warm welcome from days gone by! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Every time we return to Cortona, a stop at this restaurant is a fixed and indispensable ritual. We recently took my father-in-law from Arezzo here to celebrate his 89th birthday, and it was an exceptional choice: a memorable success! The atmosphere is refined, traditional, and welcoming, perfect for feeling at home even on special family occasions. The cuisine is simply extraordinary: it manages to combine excellent flavor with surprising lightness. Everything is cooked divinely and never feels heavy. The first courses are a work of art: handmade pici and tagliatelle are worth the visit in themselves. An honorable mention absolutely goes to the excellent fried porcini mushrooms, simply exquisite and not at all greasy. The meat is also excellent, tender and flavorful, cooked to perfection. What really makes the difference, however, is the human factor: The service: The waiters, especially Cecilia and Ali, are exquisite. Kind, friendly, professional, and always smiling, ready to satisfy every request. The owner: Paolo is a man from another era. His helpfulness and the visceral passion he puts into his work are evident in every detail of the restaurant. All this is complemented by an excellent quality-price ratio, which these days is a significant plus. The bottom line? Everything is top-notch. If you're passing through Cortona, this place is highly recommended!

03/07/2026: the food was horrible! rabbit was dry like chicken breast. pasta ragu reminded me of gefilte fish. picci with anchovies and chillis was so salty it was unreal. I am not exaggerating! service was great (: ciao

18/06/2026: INCREDIBLE! If you are fortunate to have Arnaldo the owner as your server, don’t even bother with the menu, just trust him to take care of everything. We didn’t just have good food and wine - we had a wonderful experience sharing this meal together. After dinner, as the staff were busy closing shop, we went inside to ask about wines and Arnaldo stopped what he was doing and spent 10-15 minutes explaining his wines and what makes a “naturale” wine so special. Do not miss this opportunity in Cortona! The fake “tonno” was a standout. Gracie Arnaldo!

02/07/2026: This bakery is open early. Very inexpensive. Perfect for a morning quick bite. No eating, takeaway only. Very traditional.

25/06/2026: Good quality, typical Tuscan osteria Value for money: 10+ Standard menu, but Prices are definitely below average. I left the restaurant very happy. I'll definitely return and try other dishes. I recommend it!

02/07/2026: It's always a pleasure to stop into Bar La Stazione. I try to arrive to Camucia well ahead of my journey from the station just to stop in and enjoy coffee and pastry. Always a warm welcome and very helpful staff. Highly recommended.

17/06/2026: The place is gorgeous; you can stroll around or sit on the benches outside the shop. The owners are very kind, and the gelato is amazing—the best in the area, in my opinion.

14/06/2026: A small ice cream shop that also makes custom cakes. We stumbled upon it while cycling along the Chiavenna bike path, about an hour's walk from the center of Chiavenna, and we refreshed ourselves with a gelato. For me, it's the best around Chiavenna; my favorite is the Nutella flavor, and today I tried ricotta, pear, and chocolate. I liked the ricotta flavor, but if you're being honest and not trying to criticize, either add more chocolate chips and pieces of pear, or just make the plain ricotta flavor, which is still very good. Maybe it was a coincidence, but while I was eating it, I found two chocolate chips and a piece of pear. The service is always super friendly and fast.

23/06/2026: Very average food: appetizer was served with unimpressive dry bread, a few patties and warm chese, wine was served too warm. Main dish: ragout de bolognese pasta was also non-rememberable.

18/06/2026: We had takeout pizza from here, at the recommendation from Valentin with Epic Bike (another great local business), and it was PHENOMENAL!!! We were staying at a villa outside of Cortona and this was a perfect dinner to have while relaxing, enjoying the sunset, and drinking Cortona Syrah!

22/06/2026: We enjoyed this gelato so much that we stopped here twice a day during our stay. The gelato is incredibly fresh, rich, and flavorful, with a great selection of authentic Italian flavors. What made the experience even better was the owner, who was so friendly and welcoming every time we visited. You can tell he takes pride in serving high-quality gelato and making customers feel at home. If you’re visiting Cortona, don’t miss this place.

04/06/2026: I invited some guests visiting my place near Cortona to this bar-restaurant-pizzeria for lunch and dinner. Tables are set up before the entrance for outdoor dining, during sunny hours. The interior space, on the left, near the entrance, is delightful: simple, welcoming, colorful, and tastefully furnished. There is also a more modern dining room, but equally comfortable, spacious, and inviting. We ate from the menu, and everyone, including myself, was satisfied. Good quality pizza, as were the first courses, meats, and side dishes. Excellent variety of desserts. A wide selection of wines, for those who wish. Pets welcome 🙂 RECOMMENDED 🍴
