24/10/2025: Sartù is a tiny hidden gem down an alley that you wouldn’t notice unless you appeared down and saw some tables outside on the steps. But boy am I happy I went in there thanks to my host and TripAdvisor. This is a one chef one server restaurant at least in the fall months. The menu had the most delectable titles of dishes. My ravioli dish with red sauce (a rarity in Cortona) and ricotta and other cheeses was titled something like “when everything good comes together and is nice.” Hilarious and true. I also had a dish with a round of pork covered in local vegetables that felt like it had been cooked in a stewing pot. It was the most delicious thing I’ve eaten all week. And not stereotypically Tuscan cuisine like most of the other restaurants in town, though they did have some staples like the Chianina and white beans.

24/09/2025: Wow—what a hidden gem! Sartu absolutely blew us away. The steak was simply delicious (paired perfectly with an order of carrots), but what really took things over the top was the deconstructed cannoli—hands down one of the most unique and memorable desserts I’ve ever had. The atmosphere is incredibly intimate, with only 18 seats total. We felt so welcomed, and even the chef came out personally to say hello, which made the experience extra special. It truly feels like dining in a private kitchen rather than a restaurant. If you’re lucky enough to snag a reservation, you’re in for a treat. Highly recommend—this is a place you’ll never forget.

03/02/2026: Great food in Cortona. The rock interior reveals the deep medieval history of Cortona for a great atmosphere. The owner/chef and staff were wonderful hosts for a great experience.

16/03/2026: A truly stunning and peaceful location. The structure is of the highest quality, immersed in the Tuscan countryside, with a beautiful pool for the summer months and absolute tranquility. Perfect for high-level ceremonies, weddings, confirmations, or communions. High-quality cuisine, both meat and seafood, with intense Mediterranean flavors. Prices are high, but as we know, quality comes at a price. A truly excellent place.

07/03/2026: We miss our stay here from our honeymoon all the time. The best breakfast you could ever think of, amazing wines and olive oil, and beautiful views. A true Italian country experience.

26/09/2025: We went there with some friends to eat a pizza, which I would describe as really good: not thick, well-topped, crispy, excellent, whether Kamut, wholemeal or wheat flour. The place is often full, I would recommend booking, large parking and quality service, I can only recommend it, obviously there are not only pizzas but you can eat everything and with satisfaction.

11/09/2025: A recommendation from a friend. I wasn’t disappointed. Excellent pizza, I like these thin and crispy pizza bases. The usual classics and a few novelty toppings. Booking advisable at the weekend.

27/09/2025: The whole experience was absolutely wonderful. Very intimate setting with only four tables inside, it felt like being invited into a friend’s home and being treated to a multi-course dinner. We didn’t even see the menu prior to showing up nor upon our arrival, there was one tasting menu available and the dishes just kept coming. We did however receive a call from the restaurant a couple of hours before our reservation to ask about our dietary requirements and preferences. Everything was delicious and every dish was explained in detail by a kind and warm waiter who paired the wine with each dish perfectly. I still think about the pasta from Organika and I had a lot of pastas during our stay in Tuscany. We were late by 20 mins and experienced no animosity, we were welcomed with a smile. We even received a loaf of their delicious bread at the end because we mentioned how much we loved it. We really enjoyed the music as well. Truly one of the best dining experiences I have ever had.

03/09/2025: Everything was incredible — the food, the service, the ambience. We can’t wait to go back. AND Silvia is the best — a delight of a human AND she helped me figure out how to track down some wine I had at Organika once I got back to the states. Amazing.

02/01/2026: We were a group of almost 50 people, pappardelle with watery sauce, stew with potatoes shredded, except for the peas and the bavarois, very cramped for a large group, we practically filled the place, we booked in advance I was hoping for better service

01/12/2025: If you're looking for authentic products and more, Lunghini is a guarantee. You'll discover just how many delights there are. The local butcher section is top-notch, the selection of wines and spirits is top-notch, the counter is stocked with traditional and European cheeses, prepared foods, and a stellar tiramisu. What more can I say? Just come in and you'll understand. Also open on Sunday mornings.

19/11/2025: Having moved around here recently, I would say this is one of the better grocery stores in the area. An amazing selection of items. A surprisingly vast gin collection too. You can find some really great things here, and the quality is very nice. Prices are very fair and the service is great.

08/11/2025: ✍️ 🆕️ GOOD FOOD AND A BREATHTAKING VIEW ✅️💥 🍖🍝🥂For lunch, we chose this restaurant for its slightly secluded location compared to the others along the main street and for the option of eating outside on its terrace, accompanied by an exceptional view. The food particularly amazed us: from the lightness of the asparagus flan as an appetizer, to the delicacy of the risotto with zucchini flowers and pine nuts, to the bold flavor of the blueberry pappardelle with white Chianina ragù. 25/10/2025: Excellent restaurant, absolutely beautiful. Wonderful food. I was surprised by the unusual, colorful tablecloths, but I found them very creative and beautiful. Luigi's service was phenomenal, and he was also very good-humored. I celebrated my 65th birthday in style. Thank you.

13/03/2026: An amazing happenstance for our group of 6. We were unknowingly the first dinner guests- opening night. We had a variety of primos (pastas, gnocchi, pork shank) that were all perfect, followed by a secondi of Florentine biefsteak. As the first night, the new owner (Francesco), didn't have the first red wine I ordered and also realized one shelf of wine was out of reach behind our table. (Opening night snags). He was mortified. Nothing to worry about. I was happy because i was ordering based on grapes (sangiovesse) and now he could pick perfect wines for us. (They were!) The cost seemed so small for the meal and experience we enjoyed. All capped off by some limmoncelle(?) or grapa with herbs from Lilli's (owner /wife) garden. I can't imagine how you get better than we had. So we'll have to try their other restaurant where all the snags have been cleared and everything is practiced.

10/03/2026: Very nice place, very friendly staff, and excellent food. We came on Sunday for lunch, even though it was 2 pm, they let us eat without any problems. I highly recommend it!

02/11/2025: A charming place in a strategic location if you're planning to visit the Val di Chiana (Cortona and the surrounding area). Tastefully furnished, comfortable rooms, convenient, and very clean. Excellent service, with truly welcoming, knowledgeable, and professional staff. The restaurant serves excellent food!

24/10/2025: Welcoming place with very polite staff... always a smile for the customer... and extremely clean... excellent breakfasts and lunches... the food is top notch and the food is delicious at affordable prices for everyone!!! Bistro 51 is a guarantee!!!
