19/03/2025: I went this weekend to celebrate my birthday with my husband, and we loved it. We noticed it because it has a Michelin star, as the dishes are delicious and of very high quality. The staff is very friendly and attentive. They have a wide variety of wines, but due to my pregnancy, I couldn't get any :( I'll do it next time. Considering the prestige and beauty of the place, the prices are quite reasonable. They charge 5 euros for a cover, and the main courses range from 25 to 45 euros. Try the tiramisu; you won't regret it. I promise it's delicious.

18/11/2024: We were expecting to have a beautiful accomodation, but when we arrived and saw the property and the room we remained speechless. It was exactly like you see in movies. The room had bedsheets and towels changed everyday, the breakfast was delicious, the pool area was very nice, the room was stunning, and the serenity and the peace you feel here gives you the whole package. Also, easy access by car to main cities, such as Arezzo, Siena, Montepulciano, Pienza, Cortona is just 10 minutes away by car and it is a lovely city. We will definitely come back here because we loved everything

I'm a vegetarian and had a selection that I wouldn't even have in a vegetarian restaurant, everything was excellently prepared. Staff super friendly and helpful. Atmosphere of an original local pub. Gladly again and again.

01/01/2025: The pizzas and paninis are absolutely delicious here! Naturally, they have a lot of pastries and cornettos, but the salty food was amazing. The smell of fresh bread is enticing, and everything seems fresh! Take some food and have it on the bench at the square. The staff speaks English and is very kind!

09/02/2025: Abbiamo trovato un locale piccolo ma delizioso, carino, accogliente, ricavato in una struttura caratteristica nel pieno centro storico dell' incantevole borgo di Cortona. Personale attento e scrupoloso, servizio rapido ed attento, menù essenziale, ma decisamente completo con un'offerta che dalla tradizione toscana giunge alla pizza passando per varie tipologie di hamburger. Piatti appetitosi, presentati in due sale con arredamento essenziale ma caratteristico. Lo consiglio vivamente! Ristorante promosso a pieni voti con lode. Ci ritornerò alla prima occasione utile.

07/02/2025: We have eaten here now three times and plan to once more before we leave. We just ate a meal in which we all smiled and sighed our way through each course. Of particular note: the sublime chicken aji and beef empanadas (antipasti); the fried pork tacos; and the sliced beef with rosemary (secondi). We also felt so warmly and graciously tended to by our waiter. What a happy experience altogether!

22/11/2024: My husband and I stayed here for four nights during our honeymoon around Tuscany. This hotel is a very beautiful and special place. When we arrived in from one of our previously visited cities, it was a Monday afternoon and the hotel restaurant was not open that night. Zoe helped us to reserve a table at a delicious local restaurant that was a short taxi ride away. (Definitely rent a car if you can or you will have to pay a pretty penny for the local taxis.) David the owner came to our room when we arrived with an aperitivo of some of their prosecco. The hotel grounds are well kept and very nice for sitting and enjoying the serenity of the area. We booked a cooking class with the executive chef and we handmade amazing dishes and enjoyed them for lunch as a four course meal. Greta helped translate the chef’s words to us from Italian to English the entire class and it all went very smoothly. We ate dinner in the hotel restaurant two nights and the food was superb. I ordered the fusilloni pasta two nights in a row because it was that good. The service in the restaurant was exceptional and professional as well. The breakfast buffet was great with freshly baked goods and the fruits were fresh and ripe. The waiters were always by our side and ready to make any hot drinks or anything else hot from the kitchen. We did use the hotel’s laundry service and our clothing was clean and nicely ironed. The housekeeping team did an excellent job, always leaving our room super clean and looking untouched and closing the outside shutters at turndown. All of the staff were readily available to provide anything extra if we needed. David has done a phenomenal job in training his staff. I feel like I have more to say but this will do for now! We would love to return back one day with more friends and family to share Relais La Corte dei Papi with. Thank you all again!!

03/11/2024: Very expensive mirror for decoys Everything is nice as long as you are outside, a pleasant garden. The room, however, is all smoke and little fire, absolutely not in line with what a 5 star should be, there are no excuses. For a suite, the photos speak for themselves and there is really no need to say anything else. The phone doesn't have reception, the TV has 5 working channels, the hydromassage is not very clean and takes forever to heat up, not even 33cl of water offered... It's not the first time I've stayed as a couple in a hotel of this type and I can calmly say that in Tuscany you can find much better for the same price. If you have money to waste and want to be dazzled by the gold finishes, this is the place for you, but forget about cleanliness and those details that really make the experience worth the trip. Breakfast was nothing special, very little choice for savory foods and in general it was a hassle since nothing presented had labels describing what it was. Ditto for dinner where an appetizer is offered placed on the table without half a word of description. In general it can be said that the real sore point is represented not only by the price (absolutely disproportionate) but by the manipulative strategy that we have also had the opportunity to find in other reviews, so be careful because being clever is apparently a trend. The time of our arrival found the kitchen closed so we were offered a platter of cured meats (20 total slices) and cheeses (5 pieces) with a wine of their own production chosen by the maitre. No alternatives. No wine list. No price. Well, that lunch cost more than €100 and that's unacceptable. The maitre d' knew this when he proposed it to us, but we didn't. We felt really cheated, there is no justification, terrible attitude. If you think you're clever enough to fool the customers you manage to fool with two smiles, you deserve all the reviews that highlight how unfair not only the quality-price ratio is but also the lack of transparency of your offers. 03/03/2025: I have eaten here every time on 10 trips to Italy and it is always wonderful perfume! I highly recommend the 'stinko di maiale!' Translated as 'pork shank! But everything is good and the outdoor seating is very charming!

25/02/2025: The door was open, but the place was actually still closed. Fortunately, we were allowed inside and I ended up in an attractively decorated room with a huge selection of various beers. The lady helped us very well and we left with a good feeling with a well-filled bag of Italian beers. Nice place and I think you can also eat there. Unfortunately, there is no brewing at this location, but I have now tasted their house beer and am glad I brought an extra bottle! 😉🍻

Consigliatissimo a chi passa o soggiorna a Cortona!
