09/07/2025: We ate there based on the good reviews and unfortunately weren't that impressed. The food tasted okay, but not as outstanding as advertised. The pasta was good, but the steak we ordered was by no means medium, as requested; it was extremely bloody, almost raw. The waitress was friendly, but she spilled my wine while serving. That can happen, and it's no big deal. However, I would have expected to at least be offered a new wine. That didn't happen, and of course, the wine I unfortunately couldn't drink ended up being added to the bill. The atmosphere is also extremely loud, and the tables are so close together that you're practically breathing down each other's necks. You also get the feeling you're just being rushed off because the table is already needed for the next guests.

02/07/2025: We wish we had gone here every night it was so delicious. Our kids are 12 and 15- everyone said this was in their favorite dinner in Cortona. So so good! Great for families. Good portions. Vegetarian options. Yummy!

28/06/2025: We've stayed at Villa Borgo San Pietro several times, and every time it's simply beautiful. Upon arrival, you're greeted very warmly by the gentleman at reception, who immediately makes you feel welcome. Even when you leave, you can tell that the warmth here comes from the heart. The rooms are very clean and lovingly furnished. We'd especially like to highlight the service staff – whether the ladies who clean the rooms or the team serving breakfast: everyone is extremely friendly and helpful. You never feel like anything is too much for them. This pleasant, unobtrusive friendliness contributes greatly to the feeling of well-being. The large pool is another highlight. It's not only beautifully landscaped, but also really big enough for a proper swim. Great attention is paid to cleanliness here, too, which we're always impressed with. All in all, Villa Borgo San Pietro is a place for us to relax and enjoy ourselves. We've already booked again 😀!

From the moment we stepped into the warmly lit grotto, it was clear we were in the hands of a master who cooks not just with skill, but with soul. The highlight of the class was the pasta — hand-rolled to perfection and paired with green tomatoes and what Chef affectionately called "kissing garlic." The balance of acidity and sweetness, elevated by the subtle kiss of garlic, made for a dish that was both rustic and refined. And then there was the spinach flan — a revelation. Delicate yet rich, it practically melted on the tongue. The nutmeg crème added a velvety warmth, and the tomato shavings brought just the right brightness to round out each bite. It was a dish that felt both traditional and inventive. Chef Matteo’s passion is contagious, his techniques approachable, and his storytelling elevates every moment. Ambrosia has crafted more than just a cooking class — it’s a celebration of flavor, community, and the kind of food that stays with you long after the last bite.

02/07/2025: This spot came highly recommended, but unfortunately, it missed the mark for us. From the moment we arrived, something felt a bit off. While the one waitress on duty was impressively efficient, the overall service lacked warmth or welcome. The menu looked promising, but the food was average at best — a 3 out of 5. Compared to other meals we enjoyed throughout Italy, it simply didn’t measure up. It may have just been an off night, as the couple next to us said this was their 2nd time dining here.

08/06/2025: Very nice place to go and eat. You really sit among the locals. The service is great, they take the time to have a chat and are genuinely interested in you. The quality of the pizzas is excellent, thin stone oven pizzas. And the prices are normal to cheap compared to the Netherlands. In addition, a live DJ who provides the music. All in all a must see if you are in the area!

15/05/2025: Maritim eingerichtet, auf Fisch spezialisiert, supernettes Team, dass offensichtlich mit viel Spass und Liebe am arbeiten sind. Wir waren rundum zufrieden, Egal ob Vorspeisen, Hauptgänge oder Nachtisch, alles sehr sehr lecker und das Ananas Tiramisu eine Entdeckung 😋😋😋😋😋

16/07/2025: Lovely yet very expensive and very remote. The breakfast is exceptional and while the restaurant is acclaimed we found the six course meal to be over the top. Everything cost a fortune. 2 of us did yoga for 130 euro. Crazy. The staff is friendly and the setting is to die for. The rooms are nice but not great. Pool and spa are fine. Many mosquitos. Bring bug spray. It’s very nice but prepare to leave with an empty wallet.

12/07/2025: We searched for this place on Google and went there on a Friday night! We booked via WhatsApp and they responded quickly. We had a great time! Two pizzas, a sliced steak, and a burger on charcoal bread! Everything was delicious! The staff was friendly and helpful. We'll definitely be back when we're in the area!

09/06/2025: birrificio in centro a Cortona, ottime birre alla spina fatte da loro e ottimi piatti. Potete spaziare dai taglieri di salumi toscani ai pici (ottimi) al galletto. Buoni i dolci dagli immancabili cantucci al vin santo, al semifreddo al vin santo al classico tiramisù fatto da loro. Ottime tutte le birre, per gusto consiglio la rossa o l'ambrata. Da provare se siete a Cortona

25/06/2025: Taverna in the square in Cortona, with a very familiar atmosphere, like a real tavern. What can I say, I liked everything, the atmosphere, the food and the wine. Everything was really exceptional, a place where you can relax without spending too much despite its central location.
