16/10/2025: Unfortunately, I'm forced to give it one star, if not less. I've been ordering from this place forever, but recently I've noticed a decline in quality. Every time—and I mean every time—I order, the restaurant changes or removes ingredients without any kind of communication (e.g., the cutlet instead of the classic Poldo chicken, or a Professore without mushrooms, etc.). The fries are cold and of lower quality than before, a salmon sandwich with two meager slices of salmon... In short, terrible value for money. It's a shame because it used to be one of the best.

20/09/2025: I STRONGLY RECOMMEND LONG-TERM CUSTOMERS NOT TO SET FOOT HERE. I went to a place I've been going to for years. I ordered, and after almost 40 minutes of waiting, they realized they'd lost my order, and with a huff, they took it back without even listening. Later, after they'd delivered the sandwiches and were leaving, I realized one was missing. Instead of apologizing in every way, they huffed and puffed and complained to the kitchen. I asked the owner to come out to apologize, and he almost wanted to punch me just because I was so upset. I think the old owner, "Paolo," would have sent everyone home if he'd seen a scene like that. A loyal customer since the old location, but after this, they lost an entire family of customers.

28/10/2025: I celebrated my daughter's 18th birthday. I'd like to point out that the setup with Mrs. Cettina and the staff deserve 5 stars, but my experience with whoever currently manages Villa Cassandra was terrible.

24/01/2026: Bartolini collection point is highly discouraged. I went to drop off a package with a prepaid label (sold on Subito/Vinted). The lady insisted they don't do this type of shipment (they even advertise BRT 😂), even assuming it was a private shipment, even though the label was clearly visible and in order. Result: a wasted trip. Avoid this point if you don't want to waste time.

24/01/2026: Bad experience with this Bartolini collection point. I went to deliver a package with a prepaid label for a sale on Subito/Vinted, but I was told they don't accept this type of shipment, even though the label was properly attached. Unclear communication and unnecessary waste of time. I do not recommend it.

27/05/2025: Stopped for a quick lunch. Cold arancini and tasteless bruschetta . Try ‘a putia’ around the corner for far superior bruschetta and much cheaper. Waitress forgot the coffee - it wasn’t added to the bill.

03/05/2025: Unfortunately, we didn't like it, neither the price for what we got nor the service. Furthermore, with the three aperitif cocktails we had, we weren't served anything to eat, and given the price (an average of €8 per drink), as well as the type of drink we ordered, we thought it was logical. Never mind!

03/12/2025: Warning!!! Credit card fraud during a car rental at the hotel. We were on vacation at this hotel from August 29th to September 6th, 2025. The rental agent took a photo of both sides of our credit card for the security deposit, and today (December 3rd, 2025), three months later, there was a charge of €106 from a car rental company (even though we paid for the rental that same day). Be extremely vigilant!

11/11/2025: The hotel is very run-down. The balconies look like they're about to collapse, the repairs in the rooms are shoddy, the soundproofing is nonexistent, and the bedding is terrible: the mattress springs dig into your ribs. Otherwise, the room was clean. The entertainment team was friendly. The all-you-can-eat buffet was very mediocre: a cold buffet and a hot buffet, but ultimately the same thing every day, lunch and dinner for a week. The quality was very poor, and there was little to no dessert offered. Excursions were expensive and unguided. We did find some nice people to laugh with about our woes with the hotel, but this experience left a really bitter taste.

15/02/2026: DISAPPOINTED!!!!!!!! I was thinking of spending a different evening, perhaps with some smooth dancing. From 8:00 PM to 12:00 AM they put on two Fox and two tangos, then it was all line dancing.

26/01/2026: The place is suitable for dancing, the price is modest but the pizza leaves a little to be desired.

08/12/2025: Friendly and attentive service (hence the star), but unfortunately by far the worst pizza we've ever eaten in Italy. No fresh toppings, canned tomato sauce, and far too much bad cheese; everything was swimming in grease. I sent half of it back – I've never experienced anything like it!

28/10/2025: Passed in September, medium quality cone and excessive price.

16/11/2025: The worst and most expensive cannoli we tried in Sicily.

12/11/2025: Lovely food, friendly service, combined with some awesome craft beers.

25/12/2025: The food was average. I had the pizza siracusa, which included canned anchovies, chicken breast, and sun-dried cherry tomatoes. The crust was chewy and nice, but it was way too salty—far too salty! I had to refill my teacup. The waiter was very helpful, noticing my needs at appropriate times without asking too many questions. The lighting in my seat was poor, making it unsuitable for eating. The drinks were okay, but the coffee was terrible. The prices were typical tourist rates.

22/12/2025: Good beer and liqueur. Good service. Great location.

06/02/2026: I don't usually write reviews of places I visit. But after suffering from severe food poisoning the night I ate a sandwich at this restaurant, it's abundantly clear that the food isn't stored properly and is likely sold past its expiration date. I would never recommend this place.

26/12/2025: They were more than 25 minutes late and the sandwiches were very cold.

02/11/2025: The lemon granita was delicious. However, the service was very slow, and to make matters worse, they charged a 20% service fee when you paid!

17/07/2025: Esperienza particolare!! Diciamo subito che prenotando in una taverna ci si aspetta un ambiente rustico/caratteristico in tutti i sensi. Questo però non deve compromettere la professionalità e competenza del personale, che in questo posto è tutto dire! Alla richiesta della carta dei vini ci è stato subito detto che i prezzi erano più o meno tutti uguali. Nessuno però aveva richiesto informazioni economiche… nel frattempo ordiniamo. Avendo al seguito tre bambini chiediamo la gentilezza di poter fare subito i primi per i bimbi. Grande efficienza sennonché si dimenticano di uno dei bambini. Nel frattempo arrivano anche i nostri piatti, che devo dire buoni alcuni,scarsini altri e confusi nella sequenza. Arrivano un po’ di antipasti , poi i secondi e poi il resto degli antipasti😂. Siamo sul finire della cena ma la bimba dimenticata continua ad aspettare. Tentiamo di intercettare uno dei camerieri, meno sudaticci, che corrono avanti e indietro, ma niente. Dopo varie richieste finalmente arriva anche il primo per la bimba. Cena finita! Uno dei pargoli però ha bisogno di essere cambiato, ci sarà il fasciatoio in bagno? Ovviamente no! Il gestore ci dice: “signò non si preoccupi lo cambi sul tavolo”. 🫣🫣 E per finire diciamo pure che i prezzi non sono proprio da taverna!!! Concludendo, posto consigliato a chi si aspetta un posto “colorato” a prezzi non proprio modici.

08/07/2025: Os pratos são bem servidos, sempre dá para 2 ou 3 pessoas, sendo assim, o preço acaba saindo mais em conta. Os peixes foram bem feitos, mas a parte dos vegetais estavam sem sabor e nadavam em óleo. O atendimento é ruim... pessoal muito confuso, erraram no nosso prato.

27/08/2025: The pizzas were objectively good, but it was a shame they were 40 minutes late (order placed 2 hours earlier) without even a shred of apology or a 50 cent discount.

15/08/2025: Terrible experience. Pizzas ordered by phone at 6:30 PM for 8:30 PM. They arrived at 10:00 PM. After calling to find out why they were late, given that there were three little girls waiting, the lady arrogantly told me that I could either take the pizzas or she'd give them away. Truly disappointed with everything. The beers I requested over the phone never arrived. ADDITION: Dear and "very kind" lady who answered the phone to order the pizzas... I remind you that in addition to the delay, THERE WAS THE HUGE MISTAKE of NOT MARKING the GLUTEN-FREE pizza I had ordered, which was a VERY VERY SERIOUS mistake!!!! LUCKILY I AM INTOLERANT, but someone with an allergy would have already been at risk. I, for my part, ate something else... Thank you for hanging up on my husband and "politely" answering the call by saying, "See you in court"... Congratulations!

02/01/2026: If you go to the restaurant the pizza is good but if you order it by phone the pizza arrives very cold and the service is too slow
