With the best will in the world, I can't understand the bad reviews. We had lunch at La Vecchia Fontana and were served promptly and friendly. We had a tomato salad as a starter and a pizza each as a main course. The salad was freshly prepared with date tomatoes, fresh onions, capers and olives. All ingredients were very aromatic. The pizza with a fluffy edge, as we know it from Naples. Rich toppings and a tomato sauce that also tastes like tomatoes and not just like tomato puree. At the end there was a hazelnut-colored cafe. Buono. Price and performance is okay for a tourist center.

Very nice restaurant to get the Noto feeling. Right on the square with delicous food and friendly service. Can,be crowded, so be early.

Not sure why so bad reviews?? Food was great. W got pizzas, beer coffee. The service was great. We got nice clean table. The waiter was very nice. At the end we were greeted with kitchen chef. The were all very polite towards us and our son. Great location. Definitely can recommend:)

Ristorante La Cattedrale

09/11/2023: posto meraviglioso con vista sulla cattedrale di Noto, abbiamo cenato in 6 persone ci era stato consigliato da persone incontrate in giro e devo ammettere che avevano ragione. Abbiamo preso dall'antipasto al dessert, meravigliosi.... ma lo chef non sbaglia mai? tutto impeccabile per non parlare del servizio super rapido! camerieri gentilissimi, siamo stati serviti da Samuele, giovanissimo ma di una professionalita assurda; bravi bravi. La cilieggina sulla torta è stata l'arrivo del proprietario con una bottiglia di grappa lunga un metro e mezzo.. che dire!?! mai vista una cosa cosi, ritorneremo di sicuro.
