19/10/2025: We visited this quaint, family-run restaurant, renowned for its snails. We tried the snail sampling (with tomato sauce, black pepper, vinegar, and gratin) and the ntuppatieddi (a more refined type of snail). All were truly excellent! Also worthy of mention are the spaghetti alla Sebi (fennel and snails) and the trofei with pork sauce. Finally, a special mention goes to the deconstructed cannoli with artisanal sheep's milk ricotta, available only outside of the summer season and among the best we've ever had. We highly recommend it!

19/10/2025: From the Modena Apennines, between September, October, and November 2025, we've been and will be in Arzignano. We arrived at Caffè Nazionale by pure chance, and immediately noticed a beautiful atmosphere with wonderful people, both at the outdoor tables and at the bar inside: extremely kind, courteous, polite, friendly, cordial, and extremely helpful; always smiling, which never hurts; in fact, it welcomes and captivates. Currently, we only visit the establishment during brunch hours, and I must say that the menu is well-prepared and appetizing; the items we've ordered have never disappointed. The price... for coffee and other drinks, it's in line with other establishments, while the brunch prices might seem medium-high, but I prefer to describe them as spot-on and in line with the quality of the food served and the service provided. I will continue to visit Caffè Nazionale whenever I'm in the area, hoping to be able to try the Bistro menu as well.

29/10/2025: Don't look at the menu, just ask for fresh fish. The fish will be presented to you, and you can choose your own. We went there twice; once we had grilled dorado and once sea bass. Both were truly excellent.
28/10/2025: We were a littile bit hestitant because of negative comments, but we really enjoyed our dinner! Mussels soup is to die for, waiter very nice and service quick!

Terrible arancini!! The vegetable calzones looked like stuffed sandwiches, the dough was so thick!! All very disappointing.

11/10/2025: All the dishes are very good, regarding the service, it is too slow, many of the dishes on the menu at the time of ordering are missing and this is said after a long time.
28/09/2025: The rating and reviews led me to this restaurant. I'm disappointed. I wanted to eat pasta, but when I arrived, I was told that tonight they were only serving pizzas and hamburgers. So, I ordered a chicken burger. I started on it and noticed that the chicken was raw. I pointed this out, but I was told that this chicken is best eaten pink. I know the difference between raw and pink. They took my plate away and served me a new burger, and this time, it was medium.
Despite my disappointment with this restaurant, I would like to commend the courage of the server who did everything he could to make our conversation understandable.
I'm not talking about the bottle of water I ordered and am still waiting for.
I think you can find better restaurants in Lentini.

09/09/2025: We were there this evening, the staff and owner were very kind.
As a celiac, I had a gluten-free burger, and the bread and flavor were excellent. I've attached a photo of the gluten-free sandwich. We'll be back.

19/08/2025: Just plain food, and if they see you look like a tourist, they'll take advantage of the opportunity to add an extra €20 to the bill...
There's no menu, so you rely on recommendations without looking at prices...
A bit of couscous, lasagna, and omelet that looks like they've got leftovers from another table, pointless...
We've been here for days, and it's the most expensive food in relation to the quality...
Not to mention the stray cats that vomited on us while we were eating...
So, I don't recommend it at all... If you don't know Sicilian, stay away!!!

03/10/2025: Just came out this shop. Ladies behind the deli were great but the lady on the till was so rude (in Italian). I put the basket on the counter and she went potty. If they have tourist facing front of house staff teach them to be polite!

12/07/2025: July 12, 2025, fourth consecutive year in Portopalo di Capopassero. We've had lunch all week at this establishment, which also serves as a bar, pastry shop, rotisserie, and self-service restaurant. Lunch features a full menu (first course, second course, side dish, bread, and drink) at reasonable prices, with a variety of options and excellent quality (both meat and fish). The entire service staff is truly excellent, and I emphasize everything—I'd give everyone a 10. Among them, I'd give Mrs. Floriana a 10 out of 10 for her empathy, always ready and smiling, even at the end of her shift: a diamond among jewels.
P.S. Dogs are welcome.
2022 In the self-service category, it's an excellent choice. You'll find very good meat and fish menus with generous portions, but it's also a pizzeria, ice cream parlor, pastry shop, and bar. Very friendly staff. Excellent value. Recommended.
July 12, 2023: For the second consecutive year on vacation in the area, I returned to this restaurant and found the same excellent quality of food at competitive prices and the same kindness and professionalism of the staff. Congratulations.
August 2024: (For the third consecutive year on vacation in the area), I can only confirm the quality of the products, the excellent cleanliness and organization of the place, and the very friendly staff.
