Without a doubt among the best bars in Syracuse. Very good coffee and breakfasts. The greetings and cakes are also excellent.

Located near the Catacombs of San Giovanni, it has several tables for consumption both inside and outside. In addition to various types of desserts, for lunch it offers a good variety of hot dishes and rotisserie products (definitely very greasy, especially the arancini, but overall not bad...). The service is quick, but at least in my experience today, rather confusing. The prices in general are honest. However, be careful of the foods priced per kg: €6 for a piece of aubergine pastry, in relation to the prices of the rest, mk seems decidedly excessive!

Storico bar a San Giovanni, uno dei punti di riferimento dei Siracusa. Ottimo per gustare buone colazioni, spuntini, fare un aperitivo con gli amici, aperto anche a pranzo

07/04/2024: The pizzas were good and normal in price, but very overpriced, around half a liter of simple Tavola nero cost 20 euros. 2 canoli for 16 euros. We thought it was an outrageous rip-off.
11/10/2023: Very tasty pizza and good service just outside the center. A little less busy and less waiting time.

02/01/2024: Lo chef Mirko riesce pure a migliorarsi. Cenone praticamente perfetto. Ormai è un obbligo essere a Siracusa e approfittare andando a trovare lo chef e per deliziarci gli occhi e il palato. Sempre più bravi, cortesi e eccellenti nel cibo per quantità, qualità, prezzo onestissimo e cortesia infinita, ambiente, mise en place. Tutto insomma.
20/10/2023: We had dinner here inside the restaurant and it was excellent. Antipasti: Totanetti Affogati (calamari in tomato sauce and herbs); Primi: Spaghetti ala Congolese veraci bottarga (gluten-free spaghetti with clams in an herb sauce); Secondi: Trancio di tonno scottata con cipolla rossa caramelatta e pistachio (seared tuna with caramelized onions and pistachios). All of the food was excellent; very interesting menu with several good choices. Very good service; in fact, our server knew the menu and was able to advise my partner on what she could order gluten-free. Good wine selection (all Sicilian) and very reasonably priced. We ordered a bottle of Fina Hanami Rose that was very nice and dry for only 22 euros. We recommend this restaurant.
