02/08/2023: The good: Seriously the best ricotta cannoli I tried (I’ve been trying different places every day). What sets them apart is the filling: you can actually taste the ricotta not just sugar like in most places. The bad: The food portions could be bigger given the price point.

03/08/2024: He refused a reservation for the evening for two, made in person at 4.45 pm, because he only has a table free for 5 that he doesn't want to share....... I'll find something better.

02/08/2024: Embarrassing... That's the only word! In the description fish speciality... But more than poor quality. We took a roasted octopus on potato cream... Frozen octopus... Plus with peppers on top as decoration which were not mentioned on the menu and I'm allergic... And a mussel marinade (terrible!) with mussels very low quality and not local or well made, which smelled and passed away... We paid without making a fuss... I hope I don't end up in the emergency medical service... Not recommended, obviously!

31/03/2024: Sono andato assieme alla mia famiglia a cena. Abbiamo complessivamente mangiato bene, anche il servizio è stato ok sia come tempi di attesa che come gentilezza da parte dei camerieri. prezzo nella norma. Non do le 5 stelle perchè il locale era troppo affollato rispetto alle dimensioni, e conseguentemente gli spazi fra un tavolo e l'altro erano molto ridotti, questo rendeva difficoltoso sia il muoversi e sia il dialogo fra le persone sedute a tavola, dato il rimbombo del vociare degli occupanti gli altri tavoli. Mi è dispiaciuta un'alra cosa: ho chiesto una Coca cola "grande" per i miei figli, e mi è stato risposto che c'erano solo bottigliette in vetro da 33 cl, peccato che solo 15 minuti dopo è stata portata una bottiglia da 1,5 litri proprio al tavolo accanto, che essendo arrivati dopo, avevano anche ordinato successivamente a noi, ovviamente non ho fatto alcuna polemica, ma a volte sono i particolari a fare la differenza ...

07/09/2023: The place positions itself as a Michelin restaurant... well, let them think so... Initially, an extremely pretentious place...there were two of us in the whole restaurant, and in the end, out of three ordered dishes, they forgot about one. .and no apologies were made, and the head waiter pretended that this was the right thing... In none of the remaining dishes brought to us did we find even a hint of Michelin, absolutely nothing surprising or interesting... adding bacon to the ravioli, and a huge amount of fried onions to the yellowtail tartare, in my opinion, is shameful... To summarize my impressions, it’s not worth it at all...the taste of onions still haunts me, which is unacceptable for Michelin...decide for yourself whether you need such an experience....

25/08/2024: Note that the staff is friendly and attentive. The granitas are quite good and the Brioche are average, that is, delicious. Why do I put 3 stars? Everything is served in plastic cups, there is no type of awareness about the environment. Even if you take your clean glass, they don't put it there. Far from giving a bad rating, I invite you to think that 1 plastic cup used for 10 minutes takes many hundreds of years to degrade, even if it is compostable. I don't see awareness of this, the truth is neither here nor in the rest of Sicily. I would recommend serving the granita in glass when you eat it on site. Otherwise, it is a place frequented by many people, just a stone's throw from the sea (a gift from nature with a wonderful landscape, but worryingly contaminated by plastics of all shapes and colors wherever you look). I emphasize that the people who work are friendly.

10/08/2024: Small place but they make exceptional ice creams with very particular flavours. If you go to Torre Faro I recommend you pay them a visit.

15/08/2024: Decent pastry but the manufacturing errors (the waxed paper is not edible) would at least require an apology... but as we know, humility is not for everyone. Too bad, lost customer.

21/08/2024: One star because you can't do less, and I'll start by saying that even in mediocre places I don't leave negative reviews, I really don't like speaking badly about a restaurant. Here, however, we have really exceeded certain limits. I'll cut it short, we arrived and asked for the menu, to which we were told that the menu doesn't exist, the various proposals were listed, ONLY after asking. We take an octopus salad and two first courses. The octopus salad arrives INSTANTLY, and it would have been a good thing, if it hadn't been disgusting, since the octopus was rubber (fresh fish a couple of p**les), justified with "eh the fresh octopus still has its strong nerves." Obviously 3/4 pieces of octopus were enough for the appetizer, and then it was left, the first courses arrived and here I must say they weren't disgusting, but not even worth spending nice words about because between the cuttlefish crumbs and the shrimp present in the two dishes everything was far from fresh, only frozen fish. We arrive at the bill where I would have honestly expected to at least not pay for that vile octopus salad, in any case I go to pay with a smile and say hello (not being greeted back or even looked at in the face, as I have seen in several reviews, it will be a habit bah) paying a fair price if it weren't for the fact that the quality of the food was really poor. I would like to further point out that this is the first negative review.

18/08/2024: A good place to eat fish is essential, they cook quite well, an excellent slice of pauro, a good fried fish with different types of fish, maybe some prawns and squid were missing, but excellently compensated by cuttlefish, perhaps worth seeing again. 'fish starter, lackluster, all in all a place worth trying, last but not least, impeccable and fast service. The only flaw is the location, from the eighties, but the quality of the food makes up for it.

27/08/2024: We took a double granita with cream, half a hazelnut meringue with two brioches, all delicious,!!! be careful. The brioche is very flavoured, not everyone may like it. Friendly staff. There are both indoor and outdoor seats. finding parking in August or the summer months is a little difficult, but it's worth it. Recommended place we will definitely return

27/08/2024: Cena perfetta..location mozzafiato. 10&lode per il tonno con cipolle caramellate. Ottima anche la pasta con pomodorino di pachino e bottarga. Prezzi medio alti ma ne vale la pena. Un elogio al personale gentile ed educatissimo,soprattutto ad una signora molto professionale e gentilissima che a volte fa la differenza.

24/08/2024: We had a good dinner... good Margherita pizza, the atmosphere wasn't bad either... the only defects are the service because they brought it to 10.40pm and also the dessert menu

13/07/2024: La cena al ristorante “La Caverna” è stata la ciliegina sulla torta del nostro soggiorno presso l’Hotel Villa Sonia: ottima esperienza culinaria con prodotti tipici locali! Assolutamente consigliato! L’ambiente interno è particolare e raffinato ed è possibile cenare anche all’esterno con vista Etna!

19/06/2024: Hopeless staff. Awful hungry night. Staff charming but all over the place wandering round not knowing what is what. Ask for bread. A nod. Nothing happens. Asked several times and an hour after sitting down we still didn’t have any bread … but baskets of it in the table next door. We asked again then we were asked what we had ordered in the first place. Others fared the same. I’m afraid the service staff were time expired service. Pizza good but after two hours we would have eaten anything Won’t come back
