05/10/2025: The waitress at the tables was wearing truly inappropriate clothing. If it's cold, the place should buy sweatshirts or sweaters with the company logo, and, alas, those truly ugly leggings. But there's more: she responded rudely when we pointed out that the order had been ordered with sparkling water in the gin and tonics instead of tonic water. The rudeness continued, accompanied by facial grimaces when we pointed out that the peanuts and chips were from the previous table... she never replaced them in the two hours we were seated at the table. She continued to be rude when it was time for the bill, telling us to get up because the place was about to close... without saying a thank you or a goodbye, just instructions to settle the bill. I should point out that we were all very polite people in our 40s, who did or said nothing to deserve such treatment. We have and continue to travel the world, and frankly, we've never seen anything like this. Yes, you can pay any amount for a gin and tonic, that's not the issue... but that it's well-presented, which it wasn't, that it's accompanied by good service and a welcoming atmosphere. But as described above, the status quo speaks for itself. Restaurants are serious business. This should serve as a spur to the owners, because the blame for all this doesn't lie with the individual woman who does a job she doesn't want to do and clearly can't do. On the contrary, I believe it lies with whoever puts her there to represent a restaurant, which is, all things considered, quite successful. Let this serve as a spur to the owners, because it's meant to be a constructive, but unfortunately unavoidable, report.

The hostess was friendly, from the phone call to the reservation to the final bill. I highly recommend this restaurant if you want to savor local cuisine.

We went to Da Ninazzu and were very impressed with the quality of the food: the house antipasto was rich and delicious, and the pizza was also really good. The restaurant is beautiful, with a rustic atmosphere that conveys the true essence of the trattoria. On the downside, the menu is overwhelming, limited, and offers very little choice. The service was also disappointing: the waitress insisted we order the antipasto, saying that the fries were "for kids." Finally, from 10:30 PM onwards, we felt "watched" and intimidated, as if they were in a hurry to close and wanted us to leave. A shame, because the food is worth it.

They wanted to give me focaccia with completely burned edges and insisted it was well done. I can assure you, I know how to distinguish well done from burned (a black edge that is highly carcinogenic). There was no one in the rotisserie, so there was no confusion that could justify this arrogant treatment because I dared ask for a replacement focaccia with edible edges. Finally, the guy forgot to say hello. This shows poor customer service.

These rustici cost €1.50 and would once have been called mini-sized... now, however, they're the "normal" size. Very good, yes, but small and therefore expensive. P.S. I understand the answer, but in that case, there are two options: everyone else uses much lower-quality raw materials, or they have a lower profit margin. (The truth probably lies somewhere in the middle.)

11/11/2025: The restaurant is run by an Italian and a Polish woman (both serving customers). The menu is in Polish. It's tucked away in a quiet area. It's quiet and peaceful. Plenty of tables. The food is delicious, just like in Italy. I highly recommend it.

10/11/2025: The ambiance is wonderful, located in a dreamy area, very close to the Greek Theatre of Taormina, and across from the small Church of San Domenico. The atmosphere is very welcoming; there are always musicians wandering around the restaurants, adding a vibrant touch to the dining experience. I enjoyed the food; I tried three dishes: eggplant parmigiana, pasta with shrimp, and grilled clams. My favorite was the grilled clams.
