20/07/2025: The pignolata and cannoli are sublime.

02/04/2025: The best pastry shop in Contesse (along with Morabito). Welcoming spaces, friendly, fast, and helpful owners. Small pastries and ricotta cannoli are truly delicious. Prices are reasonable.

21/09/2025: We had four cones of terrible hazelnut and gianduja ice cream. They taste the same. The chocolate left our teeth and lips black. It took 10 minutes to remove the stains, and that doesn't mean it's of high quality. Afterward, we had stomach cramps and heartburn. The cream was ivory, not milky white, and melted to the point of falling out. The ice cream isn't fresh; the cone wafers aren't crispy. It left our mouths sour.

21/09/2025: "Unfortunately, I had a terrible experience today. I've always spoken highly of this ice cream shop and even brought my relatives, convinced of the quality it once had. Instead, the ice cream was terrible and made all four of us feel sick. I was very disappointed, especially because I wanted to make a good impression on my brother and uncles. I made a terrible impression, and right now I can only say I'm deeply disappointed. I will never return. On top of all that, after we had four ice creams, they even differentiated the amount of cream in the smallest cone. This is not the right way to show customer service."

29/10/2025: We will never forget our stay in this magnificent place! The location is quite good, between Mount Etna, Isola Bella, and the Alcantara Gorge. The staff is helpful and friendly. The breakfast is plentiful. The dinner menu offers healthy and varied dishes. There is also a swimming pool and a reading area. While the Wi-Fi doesn't work in the rooms, it is available in the breakfast and dinner areas. This is a minor inconvenience compared to the overall experience. I highly recommend it.

17/10/2025: The accommodation is beautifully landscaped. The room is clean and spacious. Tanja is very friendly and helpful at breakfast. She also speaks German. As a German, you'll need plenty of time at the restaurant. From appetizer to main course, it takes 1.5 hours. They said that's normal in Sicily. 🤔 We'll see, we'll try a different restaurant tomorrow.

21/09/2025: A great little snack bar with a super friendly saleswoman. We had arincini, and they were all excellent, especially the pistachio ones. It's a shame we're moving on tomorrow; I would have loved to try a pizza 😄

02/09/2025: The aperitif with a platter is no longer available; in its place, there's the option of grilled meat for dinner. Excellent quality, as always, we were pleased. It's perhaps a little more expensive than the local average, but the meat is perfectly cooked, with a selection of excellent cuts and truly tender. The cocktails remain the place's standout. I'd perhaps recommend a little better lighting and addressing the odors coming from the neighboring house. Otherwise, it remains the same quality venue it has been, thanks to the professionalism of the owner, who is committed to maintaining high standards in the food and drinks he offers. Special mention goes to the young woman who welcomed us this year and to the gentleman who served us, who were kind, friendly, and helpful! This too is an important aspect not to be underestimated: the service!

30/08/2025: I ate here a few nights ago and was more than satisfied!! Excellent food, a very nice location, and kind and helpful staff!!! As soon as I return to Oliveri, I'll definitely be back to eat there again!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

01/10/2025: Carletto in Sant'Angela di Militello was a truly pleasant experience. Everything was excellent, from the welcome to the service, and, of course, the food. Among the dishes, the swordfish rolls stand out, a true house specialty: tender, flavorful, and grilled. A delicacy truly worth trying.

30/09/2025: The food may be good, with Carletto cooking by the outdoor fireplace, and working really hard, but the waiters don't pay attention to you. From the moment you arrive, you choose your table, otherwise no one tells you where to sit. A good 20 minutes passed before I ordered. The mussels for the appetizer were large, but they didn't seem fresh. At least in Sicily, fish should be eaten well. I asked for coffee, and the waiter was talking to known customers and replied as if to say, "Yeah, okay, I'm coming..." and continued calmly, ignoring my request. I wouldn't recommend it because there are only 2 or 3 waiters, the place is large, and you risk ending up like a piece of junk.

24/10/2025: The service was great. The food was off the charts. This is the way to experience Messina.

18/10/2025: An excellent lunch with balanced dishes that hark back to tradition, with the addition of appreciated variations. The service was excellent, and the host, Alvise, was always a pleasure to be around.

11/10/2025: Went for lunch today and were greeted warmly. The place is well-maintained and clean. The welcome cocktail was tasty, and the dishes were very carefully prepared. My wife, who is gluten intolerant, was treated with care by the lady in the dining room, unlike some places that make health issues seem like a matter of choice. The prices were "fair." Highly recommended.

28/11/2025: I discovered this place through friends and I have to say I was enchanted. Everything was taken care of down to the smallest detail, the staff were friendly and knowledgeable, the pizza and burgers were excellent, and you could tell the owner really cares and puts passion into what he does. I recommend the dessert drink! Congratulations on everything, guys!
