Piatti deliziosi, quasi a far tornare il ricordo della tradizione domenicale a casa della nonna, quel momento felice che loro sanno ricreare perfettamente! Consigliatissimo, torneremo presto!

Desde el pistacho, cafés con sabor a pasteles indulgentes, cada sorbo y bocado está lleno de sabor rico y a nuez. El ambiente cálido y acogedor lo convierte en el lugar perfecto para relajarse y disfrutar de una experiencia de café única. 09/10/2024: Il 16 settembre 2024 sono stata con delle amiche al negozio Novè in via di Giovanni a Taormina. Una persona ha presentato l'attività del negozio magnificando i prodotti siciliani in vendita tra cui il pistacchio di Bronte . All'esterno c'era un alberello di pistacchio e la persona in questione ne ha illustrato la coltivazione nonchè l'ottima qualità del pistacchio di Bronte. Io e le mie amiche abbiamo comprato 3 buste, ciascuna di 250 g, di pistacchi sottovuoto pagando 27 euro complessivi come si può verificare dalla foto dello scontrino allegato.Tornati a casa ci siamo accorti che i pistacchi comprati non erano di Bronte ma di un paese extracomunitario come si può notare dalla foto dell'etichetta presente sulle buste.Nel mio supermercato li avrei pagati meno di un terzo. Non è corretto nè onesto spacciare prodotti extracomunitari per prodotti locali approfittando della buona fede dei turisti.

Abbiamo preso gli antipasti della casa , salumi eccezionali, buona la tartara. eravamo in sei e abbiamo assaggiato due primi, ottimi. 16/02/2025: During a Sunday walk out of town with friends, we came for lunch at this restaurant and were welcomed with warmth and friendliness by Mr. Pippo, his son Fabrizio and the dining room staff. The environment is very welcoming, we had lunch in front of the beautiful fireplace and the dishes we tasted were unexpected, genuine and very tasty. All courses were excellent and the pasta with nettles and the lemon frost with strawberry jam are highly recommended. Without a doubt it is a place to which we will return to spend another pleasant Sunday in this delightful village rich in history and architecture.

09/10/2024: They had spoken well to me about this place for its simple hospitality and menu. I had a great time with the environment, the helpfulness of the owners and the quality of the food. A few notes, some dishes in my opinion should be better tested before offering them to customers. I am referring to the busiate with mussels and rocket pesto. Perhaps I would have preferred to tone down the intense flavor of the rocket with a sweeter fish rather than mussels. But these are personal considerations that are possibly not reflected in other guests. For the rest really happy. The appropriate price

27/09/2024: A tiny restaurant with great potential. The dishes are unique, fish and seafood are presented in a beautiful and unusual way. Refreshing desserts. It is worth making a reservation in advance and enjoying a delicious dinner.

26/11/2024: Simply wonderful. Small, tranquil alley, small chairs and tables made from wine crates in front of it, rustically furnished inside - what was promised visually was even exceeded by the wine. We're not big wine connoisseurs, we said we like a dry Lugana - he recommended a local wine. In short: the best we have ever drunk. We also ate a bruschetta, the selection was limited because not all the ingredients were available in winter (so everything is fresh!) - but still a very good little piece of bread for a reasonable €2.50. If you want to have a drink before dinner: go here!

12/01/2025: It's always a pleasure to meet up to eat at La Carruba! Excellent cuisine with typical Nebrodi dishes, expertly prepared, pleasant environment, quality, passion and kindness. The quality/price ratio is unmatched in the area. I would go there every day! I highly recommend it!

08/12/2024: We were warmly welcomed and ate an excellent pizza, light, fragrant and with quality food. The staff was very kind and the environment was very nice. I can't comment on the price because we were guests of our dearest and affectionate friends. I highly recommend it.

22/01/2025: My father and I stopped here for lunch while cruising through Messina. This was a perfect rustic Sicilian and Italian lunch spot full of locals. The place is small and intimate and has all of the benefits of an owner operator setup. The staff are super attentive and thoughtful when it comes to the experience. Where this place really takes off is in the pasta. Great quality pasta with strong well executed flavors was great. It wasn’t a big menu but they really nailed doing a few things with exceptionally well with fresh ingredients. All food does better with the freshest of ingredients but it really is the calling card of great Italian food and this certainly was that. If I am back in Messina I will be back. Also the pistachio semifreddo was a world beater for dessert. The space is very casual and won’t wow a person but the food is where it is at. The best part of the space was that it was full of locals and regulars which made for great people watching. It is also perfect walking distance from the port in a nice part of town.

22/01/2025: Good place to eat. The winter caponata is very delicious, enough quantity to be a starter. The pasta with bacon, tomato and pistachios is spectacular, lots of quantity and well presented. The Sicilian wine and cheese risotto is a delight. The desserts of chocolate cake and pistachio semifreddo were quite acceptable. Beer at €2 and water the same. Children baked potatoes with chicken. And they invited us to coffee. The waiter was charming, very friendly. It is worth coming if you are in Messina. €70 4 people (2 children).

23/12/2024: Have visited Trattoria Vicolo, Castelmola each time we’re in Taormina. Each time the food has been very good. Today I ordered Spaghetti Carbonara. If you’re expecting the rich source type of Carbonara then you might be very well surprised. It’s the genuine kind of Carbonara here. That you should expect in Sicily. For desert we shared Semi Freddo. It was really good! It’s made the period around Christmas. My wife ordered the Vegetable Soup. Once again it was very tasty, couldn’t be happier. The service was very good, no real surprise though. It’s worth the bus trip from Taormina to try this place.
