17/12/2025: Today I went to the Calatabiano store where I had also shopped last week and had updated my MD app, which was properly recognized by the cashier. Today, my code disappeared from my app, preventing me from using the discounted products. I asked the cashier, the same one from last week, and she said there was nothing she could do. In other supermarkets like Conad, Lidly, Paghi Poco, etc., even if I don't have a barcode, all I have to do is enter my mobile number and the customer is recognized. Why not at MD?

26/11/2025: I went shopping at the MD in CALATABIANO. I put some yogurt pots in the basket and unfortunately one broke. When I got to the checkout, I mentioned this to the cashier (a blonde foreigner) because I'm a polite person and instead of leaving it down like so many other people do, I took it to the checkout to avoid making a mess. The cashier in question made me pay for it, saying that if I wanted to take it home, she would give me a little bag to put it in. I looked at her and told her she could throw it in the basket; 50 cents wouldn't change my life. But the question arises spontaneously... How come when this happens, supermarkets in northern Italy take the product back and replace it with a healthy one, but not here in Sicily!!! I'm talking about the MD in Milan, of which I've been a loyal customer for years... Don't the same rules apply??? Give these people a crash course!!!

12/04/2026: The food was excellent, but typical of a buffet (not the best). The service wasn't tested very well, having had a buffet, but it was still available. Atmosphere: one of the nicest places.

27/11/2025: I have no idea what the food is like. But the service is terrible. I've done some work for them. I'm still waiting for them to pay me. They see the messages but haven't responded. It wasn't a big deal. But I put in the time.

14/12/2025: In summary: a terrible place. The Aperol Spritz was practically just syrup, served in a very small portion, and on top of that it was twice as expensive as in a place just 20 meters away on the same street. The restroom was in a terrible condition, with a wet floor and a general lack of cleanliness. You also need to be very careful with the bill, as we could have been overcharged if we hadn’t paid close attention. We chose this place because of the nice view, which turned out to be completely overpriced. Despite the venue supposedly being closed, people kept coming in to ask for money or try to sell some cheap junk, and the waitresses didn’t seem to care at all.

14/04/2026: Poles (and others) shouldn't come, and as you can see in the photo, it's the worst cornetto I've ever had! (Unfortunately, the dough is rubbery! The pistachio filling is the worst I've ever had.) As for the coffee, it's strong, so who cares? Two cappuccinos plus two croissants cost €7, so prices are normal.

But unfortunately, ordering means waiting who knows how long it takes for your order to arrive, only to be disappointed because they made a mistake. 10/03/2026: A medium/small ice cream cone, with a mediocre flavour, made more of ice than substance, costs 3.80 euros...not even in the most renowned ice cream shops nearby, nor in the very centre, does it cost that much.

01/03/2026: If possible, I wouldn't give it a single star. It's no longer the Saint Moritz it once was. Now that it's under new management and is now called Café Moritz, it's changed for the worse. I went there to buy some mini pastries; I'd say a pastry shop in a remote Sicilian town has a wider selection, not to mention how expensive and tasteless it is. There are other, better, and less expensive pastry shops. One thing's for sure: they'll never see me again. I advise everyone to stay away from this place, which has now fallen into utter squalor. Not even a second-rate pastry shop offers such stale stuff.

11/04/2026: BORDERLY LEGAL THEFT. The price list says "table service 15%," but the final bill is marked down to much more, with no explanation. A very clear example: a cappuccino costs €1.70 on the price list, but with 15% it should be €1.96, but on the receipt it appears to be €3.10. This is an increase of 82%, not 15%. It's not a mistake, it's an ambiguous and incorrect way of calculating, counting on people being in a hurry and not checking. Dishonest and borderline illegal behavior. Avoid this place! For 3 meals and 2 drinks: €23. Crazy. At first, there was no receipt. I had to ask for one. At that point, the lady disappeared for half an hour and then returned with a receipt with meaningless numbers.

05/04/2026: I'm giving it one star only because it can't be given less. The only positive thing about this place is the location, which is on a green area, even if it's quite poorly maintained. The food was inedible. The side dishes were decent, but the first course was flavorless. All the sauces were definitely store-bought, but the poorest ones. The second course was mystery meat; we didn't know what animal we were eating, and 3/4 of the dining room left their plates half full, obviously all served cold. The dessert included in the price was a €10 Colomba cake, sliced ​​and served for the whole dining room. And finally, they wanted €27 per person, all in cash, because they don't have a POS terminal... in 2026, it's illegal for a business not to have a POS terminal, and they collected everything in CASH. Horrible business, it should be closed down.

20/10/2025: I went to this bar and ordered two first courses and a second course. Despite there being five people behind the bar, I had to carry everything to the table myself. One of the first courses was truly disappointing: the pasta was bland, seemingly prepared carelessly, flavorlessly, and without passion. The service was inattentive and poorly organized. 07/01/2026: I didn't want to believe the past reviews. It was a nightmare New Year's Eve dinner. The room was packed with tables so narrow you couldn't pass, and the waiters were passing the dishes around because they couldn't fit between the tables. Aside from the Coke, the wine and sparkling wine were of extremely poor quality. I don't want to talk about the menu. The music was very mediocre in a small, crowded room. The only thing I've resolved to do is never go down that street again.
