07/10/2025: Me and my 4 sisters attended this restaurant for a birthday lunch, can I start off by saying the restaurant itself is beautiful! The decor is very unique alongside the placement of all the random vintage pieces along the wall magnificent! We ordered a few dishes and the total amount (€160) was extremely affordable we live in London so the price difference for the seafood was great! If you come definitely get the grilled sea-bream it was cooked to perfection, the mussels were very tasty so was the octopus salad! The only downside was the grilled prawns I feel they could have grilled them for longer maybe split them down the middle so they are cleaned better and included more seasonings as they were very bland. Apart from the prawns everything else was amazing the service was excellent and we was even offered lemoncello on the house. I would definitely come back when we are next in Sicily.

30/08/2025: I'll return to Catania just to be able to eat here again. It's a hidden, small restaurant with a beautiful, ornate decor and "Sicilian" service: We don't worship you, we give you service and advice if you ask. For me, it's better than having a waiter always on your heels! I ordered a Caprese salad with tomato and buffalo mozzarella, and what can I say? I wish we had this product in Spain for that salad. Not delicious, but delicious! And then I ordered spaghetti with gammon and zucchini, and that was another level! I don't understand how such a simple dish can be so absolutely wonderful. Brutal. Without a doubt one of the best trattorias I've ever tried, with a couple of glasses of house wine. Sicily on the table, you can't ask for more.

24/06/2025: they told me the rice was vegetarian and after having a bite it had bacon and salmon. Disappointing

24/06/2025: Horrendous food, rudeness, cleaning the counter containing the bread with a cloth and glass cleaner while touching everything, including the bread.

20/09/2025: These days, it's rare to not find something gluten-free, but at Gran Caffè Pam Pam, it happened. There was one exception: individually wrapped almond pastries with the word "gluten-free" written on the wrapper. I was about to eat them, but they told me they were gluten-free, but likely contaminated. At that point, I wanted to explain that the wording on the wrapper couldn't be there, but the staff was already getting annoyed. Anyway, for a coffee just sitting on a table, I paid two euros.

30/06/2025: Anyone who knew this place during the historic Centamore management knows exactly what I'm talking about: it was a point of reference for good food, hospitality and an authentic atmosphere. Today, unfortunately, absolutely nothing of all this remains. The new management has completely overturned the identity of the place and not for the better. Once upon a time, you came here with the certainty of finding quality, kindness, professionalism. Today you leave only with the feeling of having wasted time and money. The service is approximate, often improvised, with staff who seem more annoyed than happy to welcome you. The courtesy of the past has been replaced by arrogance and a total lack of organization. In recent times, the situation has worsened further: the place has transformed without warning into a sandwich shop, completely erasing any connection with real catering. But the even more serious thing is that they didn't even deign to inform those who had booked for events, banquets or ceremonies. Customers left disoriented, without respect, without a phone call, without anything. As for the food… better not get your hopes up. What is served today has nothing to do with the cuisine that once made this place special. Dishes without soul, without identity, without attention. It is an insult to the memory of what this place represented. Not even the most mediocre of establishments would have the courage to propose certain things. The problem is not only the decline in quality, but the attitude of those who now manage it: presumptuous, inattentive, incapable of listening. A place that was a symbol of hospitality has transformed into something empty, impersonal, and sadly forgettable. A word of advice? If you have good memories tied to this place, leave them where they are: don't ruin them by returning. The real Casalrosato no longer exists. And what is there now, frankly, does not even deserve the name.

04/06/2025: Sono venuto in questa trattoria prenotata da amici. Il locale fa servizio con menù fisso a 20€ dove portano tantissimi piatti di antipasti, poi a scelta un secondo e per finire caffè/ sorbetto o amaro. Siamo persone che mangiano di tutto ma alcuni piatti a nostro avviso erano poco buoni tipo la mozzarella (la lascerei per i ristoranti campani!), la parmigiana (non si può sbagliare!), i formaggi (abbondanti ma poco buoni, meglio poco e di buona qualità).

29/05/2025: Abbiamo scoperto questo locale per caso su google maps. Ci fermiamo e ci propongono il loro menù fisso a 20€ che comprende antipasti, secondo, bibite e sorbetto finale. Tutto molto buono e tipicamente siciliano Personale altamente qualificato e gentile. Ci torneremo sicuramente nelle prossime permanenze a Catania.

28/09/2025: I went to Common Ground for After Hours Night and it was truly wonderful, the best I've ever attended, both in terms of selection and target audience. The venue pleasantly surprised me: impeccable organization, polite and professional bouncers, not rude. You could dance, jump, and have fun freely; something that makes all the difference in a nightclub, especially compared to many venues that tend to hold back the crowd. The drinks were excellent and reasonably priced, especially considering the evening was well-targeted. We need more venues like this around!

24/09/2025: It's a really nice nightclub. Perhaps suited to a younger crowd. I went there for a birthday party. The food is very good, a buffet. Lots of appetizers. Drinks galore. They have a big screen for when there's a big game on. Parking on Via Scarfoglio, fairly easy to find.

16/06/2025: Excellent, especially with the great heat the menu. Fresh and light things that fill you up without weighing you down. Recommended because in Catania it is difficult to find courtesy, quality and fair prices. Promoted

14/09/2025: We were there on a Saturday. The food (a slice of pizza, a spinach dumpling, and two espressos) was delicious. However, the staff was very unfriendly, and the atmosphere was dreary and unpleasant. It's okay for a quick snack, but you can't sit comfortably there.

04/08/2025: Poor quality ingredients. Used ceramic plates with little pieces missing. Pasta with tuna where there's no tuna. Interesting what was added to make it taste fishy. Truly industrial ravioli with a rubbery filling. I felt sick after leaving. Never again.

06/10/2025: We've eaten pizza here twice. Both times, we were pleased with the quality of the pizza and the ingredients. The staff is quite busy, but attentive.

09/09/2025: TOP pizza! The only flaw that didn't end a truly excellent evening was the dessert... pre-packaged and not homemade, a classic supermarket cup paid 6 euros, too much! For the rest, everything was very good and I repeat, TOP pizza!

01/08/2025: We celebrated our son's baptism and first birthday. The venue was worthy and suitable. Unfortunately, the service wasn't up to par. As I've read in other reviews, I can confirm several negative aspects, such as guests' requests for missing dishes and plates, which only arrive after a prompt response. In our case, some items previously agreed upon were not fully provided. Chairs were missing, and I was forced to request them even though seating had been agreed upon in advance (despite it being a buffet). There were supposed to be decorations at the entrance that were completely missing. The favors for the cake table were instead placed behind the bar, when we should have found everything set up (this was also agreed upon in advance). Some courses were generous, while others were, to say the least, "limited," which makes me pause, because I'm not naive (pointing to the guests' "over-eagerness" as an excuse, something that is literally unheard of, and not true). I emphasize the owner's helpfulness, but unfortunately, it doesn't make up for the shortcomings I noted, and I should point out, very regrettably, that several guests also pointed them out to me. We definitely won't be returning.
