Paying 90 euros for two measly appetizers consisting of 1 slice of mortadella, 1 slice of raw ham, a small piece of cheese and 1 slice of salami and two first courses (the usual first courses of any trattoria). I was very disappointed

23/07/2024: We took a pistachio first course but it was poorly seasoned and portions were not abundant. The bruschettas are good. The small and clean place was empty when we arrived, but we waited a while. There is no menu with prices so the bill was a surprise which in any case seemed too high for a restaurant.

31/08/2024: I don't know how this location got 4,5 !! It is really horrible. The owner is extremely stingy the breakfast is very small quantity. The rooms contains just the basics. There are a lot of insects and the rooms are far from the breakfast area and far from the swimming pool. The area is full of lezards jumping on you when you walk even on the roads. The swimming pool is in a different building you have to cross the road to go there and there are a lot of dogs and sheeps which are not well trained and very agressive. It is one if the worst areas i went to in my life Ps: a cherry on the top the electricity cuts down and you have to stay in total black for hours And on top threatening my husband for the review I wrote

13/05/2024: I have been to this restaurant many times and always return with pleasure. The place is small but nice, the service good and the food excellent. We recommend the sweet and sour anchovies and the pasta with swordfish and aubergines. The desserts are also excellent. I will definitely go back

29/08/2024: Many “pros”, only one “con”. Booked randomly in this structure due to the logistical proximity to the meeting point for the excursion to Etna - about 40 minutes away. First of all, wonderful location. Immersed in nature, we were in total peace. Small, comfortable and intimate at the right point: the rooms are slightly distant from the restaurant, the swimming pool and the reception, located at the point closest to the entrance gate. All easy to reach on foot. It is possible to leave the car next to the accommodations, located just above the restaurant, so that you can unload your bags and suitcases and have the car at hand. The service is impeccable. The very kind and very nice Claudia made us feel at home, from the beginning to the end of our stay. Impeccable. I must say the restaurant is also excellent. The fact that they don't have a fixed menu makes you understand how much they work with fresh, seasonal products. From the appetizers - we tried both the parmigiana and the caponata - to the first courses - gnocchi with pistachio pesto and speck - from the second courses - sausage meatball with potatoes - to the desserts - semifreddos with pistachio and almonds of their own production - all sublime. Good, tasty and tasty ingredients, with well-presented and consistent dishes. The only flaw, as far as I'm concerned, are the rooms. They have a lot of potential, but if they were better looked after, in terms of aesthetics and cleanliness, I would have given the full 5 stars.

29/08/2024: Tanti “pro”, un solo “contro”. Prenotato casualmente in questa struttura per la vicinanza logistica al punto d’incontro per l’escursione sull’Etna - a circa 40 minuti. Innanzitutto, location meravigliosa. Immerso nella natura, siamo stati nella pace più totale. Piccolo, confortevole e intimo al punto giusto: le camere sono leggermente distanti dal ristorante, dalla piscina e dalla reception, locata nel punto più vicino al cancello d’ingresso. Tutte facili da raggiunge a piedi. È possibile lasciare l’auto accanto agli alloggi, situate poco più in alto rispetto al ristorante, in modo da poter scaricare bagagli e valigie, e avere la vettura a portata di mano. Ineccepibile il servizio. La gentilissima e simpaticissima Claudia ci ha fatto sentire a casa, dall’inizio alla fine della nostra permanenza. Impeccabile. Devo dire ottimo anche il ristorante. Il fatto che non abbiano un menù fisso, ti fa capire quanto lavorino con prodotti freschi e di stagione. Dagli antipasti - abbiamo provato sia la parmigiana che la caponata - ai primi - gnocchetti al pesto di pistacchio e speck - dai secondi - polpetta di salsiccia con patate - ai dessert - semifreddi al pistacchio e alle mandorle di loro produzione - tutti sublimi. Ingredienti buoni, saporiti e gustosi, con pietanze ben presentate e consistenti. Unica pecca, per quel che mi riguarda, le camere. Hanno un gran potenziale, ma se fossero curate meglio, in termini di estetica e pulizia, avrei dato le 5 stelle piene.

30/06/2024: A good pizzeria in the center of Sant'Agata Li Battati that I would recommend. I remember that some time ago we went as a group and we had to endure a long wait to be served (extremely long), due to the takeaway service; but today it seems to me that they have solved it, although the takeaway continues to exist. Worth checking on busy evenings. The pizza is really good, with light and tasty dough and quality ingredients. Let's be clear: nothing extraordinary, but the pizza tour was well received and well assorted. The aperitif offered by the house was also appreciated. They have also added alternatives to pizza to the menu: pinsa, hamburger, toast and bruschetta, or club sandwich, which I will reserve the right to try. Outside there are several tables where you are comfortable, even if you are literally on the pavement, while the spaces inside seem a little narrow, so as not to allow movement, but in general the place is very welcoming and tastefully furnished. Only the bathroom is noticeably subdued compared to the room: it absolutely needs to be renovated. Friendly and courteous staff; satisfactory service. Normal prices. A flaw to point out: some tables outside have no lighting above them; we therefore find ourselves being dazzled, for those sitting in front, by the LED strips attached to the wall. Very annoying.

27/07/2024: I've been there for working nights, always found it good. Subsequently I sent my collaborators there and also in this case it was good. Friendly and always present reception service. Good organization also with the Magnolia hotel next door. Clean and spacious rooms. Breakfast that has the essentials, nothing sensational but complete, excellent desserts, and above all they are not taxing on customers, even after breakfast closing time they welcome you willingly. Whenever I have the opportunity I will come.

01/07/2024: Our return flight from vacation was canceled by Lufthansa. We were then accommodated in this hotel for one night and it was simply unpleasant in every way. Airlines are obliged to provide accommodation and meals in the event of flight cancellations. The food in this hotel was a cold dish for dinner. Unfortunately this consisted of obvious leftovers from starter platters of cheese, ham and salami. An accompanying vegetable plate consisted of a small plate of stale carrots, peas and spinach. If you were "lucky", you would get dried out artichokes that had already become dark and hard and were no longer really edible. When we asked, we got a basket of bread thrown on the table. The staff seemed very annoyed that we asked. The bread was already hard and dry and had noticeable traces of other foods, such as cakes with berries. It was food that would obviously have been thrown away if the spontaneous Lufthansa guests hadn't had to be catered for somehow. This was the general impression that emerged. They didn't want us. The “normal” hotel guests were also entertained and treated normally. Unfortunately for us it was different. Some of the rooms were dusty and there were crumbs in the bed. There was one towel for two people. When we asked, a second towel came, but it was clear that we were annoyed. We didn't choose to stay there due to our flight cancellation, but with this experience we wouldn't consider this hotel on another visit to Venice.
