Al Buongustaio In Nicolosi

I stumbled upon this little place in Nicolosi by chance. It's a very dated and rustic place, but it's a place with old-fashioned flavors, free from the rush and crowds of other places. It serves mushroom specialties, and I must say I already love its traditional cuisine. I also tried a mushroom first course, which was absolutely delicious. They also served me a focaccia pizza to accompany the gratin mushrooms, all excellent.

You walk in and immediately feel at home, the atmosphere is welcoming and the owners are friendly. Excellent food, reasonable prices. We'll be back soon.

Hi, let me start by saying I'm not an expert on Italian cuisine. I'm just a regular tourist from Poland. This is where I met a fantastic chef who takes a personal interest in every customer. He runs the place brilliantly, and the food is delicious!!! Do you remember the taste of bread from the bakery in the '90s? You'll find it here ♥️ ... The price is really decent, but please don't expect fast service, because the chef is the boss, in everything! Which, in fact, gives this place a touch of class and flavor 👅

A wonderful restaurant with excellent food. The atmosphere, especially with the pizza oven, is simply delightful. The service is superb and very friendly. And all this for a great price. I'd definitely go back.

I had the best dinner here during my trip in Siciliy. Real italian family vibe and uniqe local food.

My wife and I happened to come across it by chance after a trip, we were tired and it was 6.30pm but the owner welcomed us and gave us some truly excellent delicacies to eat, we were pleasantly surprised by the hospitality and we will definitely return thanks

This is the by far the best experience for homemade Sicilian food. Our host and chef, Leonardo, was a real delight, he is very friendly and welcoming, and his cooking is mouthwatering. The wood burning oven gives a real nice feeling and we loved watching him work. The pizza is to die for, great crust, great sauce! Simply the best. The homemade pasta was delicious and even the meat was exquisite! Our young sons were served immediately with homemade pasta with ragu, which they truly enjoyed! Basically, it felt like stepping into grandma's kitchen, with the homey feeling and delicious food. If you want to experience great food this place is the place to visit!!!
