22/07/2025: Supposedly a Michelin star. Pasta with calamari was to al dente and salty. $4 euro for a small bottle of water under a litre. As we asked for our bill and did not order dessert, they took extra long to bring our bill while serving other tables instead. Surprised with the high ratings, this place is a pretentious rip off.

10/07/2025: Food absolutely fantastic. Service also phenomenal. Will come back every time we visit Taormina. A must!

20/07/2025: Sandwiches, sweets—everything delicious, the coffee excellent, and the service friendly, especially the young waitress, who was very communicative and friendly. The entire staff is wonderful. I highly recommend them.

19/07/2025: Great granita!!! Great service!!! Very nice owner, we loved their ice creams (torrone, nocciola, fragile and cioccolatz fondente 👍😊 and their granita caffè e limone), don't miss it!!!

29/06/2025: Came specifically for recommendations. Ordered the daily fish—wasn't fresh, super salty. The octopus was poorly cleaned too. Super disappointed. Not recommended.

17/07/2025: Did not live up to the hype. We were the only ones in the restaurant. They kept turning the lights on and off multiple times throughout our meal. Our waitress was completely confused with their own menu. I showed her pictures of the things I wanted directly from their online menu I got from the QR code provided on the table. The fries with cheese and bacon were good, but initially came out without bacon. I asked if it was supposed to have bacon and the waitress was again confused. After showing the picture from their menu again, we did get the bacon added. We enjoyed that. The Spaghettone alla Nerano and the Spaghetti alla Carbonara were very bland. The few slices of fried zucchini were good, but the pasta was mediocre at best. Asked two people for the check and again…took a very long time. They seemed to tend to the customers who were sitting outside instead of inside. Would not recommend.

14/06/2025: In giro per la casbah di Mazzara del Vallo, incontriamo questo ristorante con musica molto bella. Pranzo fantastico: caponata e crostini al pomodoro buonissimi ma ancora più buoni i paccheri allo spada e finocchietto selvatico e la pasta con le sarde. Unica pecca: personale freddo e poco empatico.

03/06/2025: Very good pizza, very generous! Very friendly staff. We didn't eat there, but we almost regretted it because the setting is pleasant and family-friendly. Be careful with the size of your pizzas! We had enough for two days 😅

02/03/2025: Ho provato questo ristorante già un paio di volte quest’anno e ho apprezzato molto la cucina di pesce avendo provato la pasta allo scoglio, all’astice ed il mix di antipasti! Tornerei volentieri per provare il resto ma forse non riuscire a prendere di nuovo lo scoglio che mi è piaciuto veramente tanto! Servizio cortese e prezzi nella media!

04/07/2025: What a fun lunch! My name is Taninno, and I’ve got to say — this was one of the best meals I’ve had in Sicily. The gnocchi was the best I’ve ever tasted, light and packed with flavor. Even the bread and olives were amazing — simple but unforgettable. Our server was quick, fun, and super friendly, which made the whole experience even better. Great food, great vibe, and great service — what more can you ask for? Highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for a delicious and relaxed lunch with a good dose of charm!

28/06/2025: Very nice restaurant. We selected it based on reviews and .... their great selection of wines. Dishes are typical regional with quality products. Staff was very nice and friendly. Just ask what wine best suit the food you selected and they will surprise you with tasty local wines. A place we would recommend ! Thank you Tannino Team 🙏

22/06/2025: The place is very very well looked after, the cuisine is excellent, really very original, the quality of the food is very high. The offer of dishes is selected. In general, the Japanese-style attention to detail is noticeable. The service is good. Unfortunately, the tables are extremely close together, too close for such a well-kept place. I suggest reducing the total number of seats, rather than raising the prices, the cuisine and the place would still support the demand. I was there in mid-June, I would gladly return in May or October to avoid forced promiscuity :-).
