27/11/2025: We visited this restaurant after reading the excellent reviews. Our expectations were not disappointed: a welcoming seafood restaurant located in the heart of Caltagirone, just steps from the famous Scala di Santa Maria. The staff welcomed us with extreme kindness and immediately showed their willingness to present the menu, discussing it between courses. The quality/price ratio is remarkable, and the dishes were very fresh and plentiful! Highly recommended! Photos show some of the dishes we sampled.

23/11/2025: We fell upon this lovely restaurant whilst walking round Ortigia at the beginning of NoBennett. Delightful staff, exceptional service, good menu, fabulous food, good value. Paul had excellent swordfish and I (non fish eater) had beautifully cooked chicken escalope. So good we went a second time in our one week holiday and it was just as good the second time.

13/11/2025: Great wine bar, excellent service from the knowledgeable owner. Had a couple of Sicilian wine varieties I’d not yet tried and the Fava Bean soup with cheese. Enjoyable experience.

09/11/2025: Wines from the region with good service, but more attention needs to be paid to the snacks, especially the bread; we didn't like the focaccia bread.

09/11/2025: I love sandwiches. Panino. Do you like thin peace of amazing bread which is crunchy? Sauce which touches all the tasting buds? Amazing amount of meat and variety? Then you are in a right place. Not too much bread. Crispy with every bite. Juicy. Salty. Spicy. Savory. Sweet. And on top of that Carlo is a the best host. We enjoyed vino. Enjoyed food. And coming here for the food became a normality. Lower standards you will not accept after that and yet it felt like being at home with a Chef who is a magician. Make sure to visit this place on the way from airport or to the airport !

09/11/2025: The menu only lists sandwiches with meat or fish, but upon request (in Italian), Carlo conjured up a mega delicious vegetarian sandwich with artichokes, mozzarella and onions!

06/11/2025: A delightful older gentleman who, with just as much heart, cooks and talks about typical regional products. It's worth booking in advance, as everything is cooked exclusively for a given meal, and otherwise you might miss out.

23/11/2025: If you go to Borgo Giarracca, wear a tie and jacket! 🧥😄 A rainy Saturday evening 🌧️ right in the center led us to this modern pizzeria with fluorescent lighting ✨. The place is very elegant 💫 and is tall—so if you have strollers, think about it... just kidding 😜 there are several rooms 🪑. The staff was very courteous and quick with service 🤗⚡. The menu features several classic pizzas with a few twists 🍕📜. The contemporary dough is very soft and fluffy, presumably with a long leavening 😍. They also offer specialty doughs (charcoal, grain, etc.) 🌾🖤. The ingredients are very fresh and well-distributed throughout the space 🥗👌. The airy dough is truly delightful 😋. 10/10/2025: Excellent place, in addition to the truly unique dishes, everything is taken care of down to the smallest details, the staff is kind and you don't always have the photos speak for themselves, I recommend everyone to try it, it will be really worth it, I will definitely be back 🤩🤩

02/11/2025: Service! Service was invented here! The room perfectly matches the location—not overly luxurious, but everything is there and impeccably maintained. The location? The location is truly breathtaking. For lovers of fine wines, refined breakfasts, culinary dinners, and a pool with a view: this is a place to return to. I can't wait to go back. "Two photos don't say enough... it's even more beautiful in person. Judge for yourself!"

30/10/2025: Staff: Staff were lovely and very attentive. Room: Spacious, comfortable, nice amenities. There was a bottle of wine on arrival which was a nice touch. Restaurant: Breakfast was great, lots of choice and it's all high quality. The wasps swarming the breakfast area was the only negative but that can't really be helped. We had dinner in the restaurant one evening, just to try it out. I had the worst steak I've ever had here, truly terrible. Prices are insanely high too Bar: We avoided the bar entirely due to the ridiculous prices. We went to the wine tasting one evening because we thought it would be something special to do in the hotel, it cost €50 per person which is crazy given the cost in other local wineries. Location: you will need a car to get everywhere, it's very remote. All in all, I was happy enough with the hotel as a place to sleep and have breakfast. I wouldn't return because it's very limiting being so remote, especially when the hotel is charging 3-4x the prices of anywhere else for food/drinks.

04/11/2025: Worth the short walk to enjoy a wonderful sandwich at lunch at this fine café. The server was wonderful and we ate outside. Great food and very reasonably priced!

03/12/2025: After many years, I returned to Sciacca (Sicily). I wanted a sandwich and some panelle, and stopping at a baker who supplies them, he recommended Antica Focacceria Ignaro. The panelle sandwich was excellent. He also made me try the potato croquettes, made to order. I have to say, they were amazing. The ricotta waterfall was delicious 😋, simple, quick, and high-quality. We had the arancini (or arancini), call it what you want. I highly recommend it. It's very good and high-quality.

28/11/2025: Incredible and tasty food. Perfect and light fried food. We had a sandwich with panelle and eggplant, arancini (with ragù and vegetarian), potato croquettes, and spectacular cassatelle for dessert. The owner was super friendly and helpful.
