A Cuncuma Restaurant In Palermo

I’m always trying to be balanced on my ratings and when I use the 5 stars it means that it cannot be better from my standpoint….. and this one cannot be better from mine or ANY STANDPOINT!!! MICHELIN GUIDE, where on god’s green earth are you???!?!? Let me just say that from the appetizers to the bread, dishes, and desserts it was a joy for the palate and ALL WAS DONE IN-HOUSE…. And ALL WAS DONE BY THE CHEF ALONE!!!!!! And ALL WAS CLOSE TO 1 star Michelin so I’m asking again, where are you Michelin when such genius of a chef exists!!!! I’ve never seen anything remotely like that in my life…. How can one be a chef, a baker and a pastry chef at the same time and be at least excellent on each count?! That was honestly mind boggling and if you ever step foot in Palermo and proud yourself as having a palate, then you HAVE to go there!!!! Starting with you Michelin inspectors!!!!!!

We had a great evening at A‘Cuncuma. The tasting menu was easily adapted to allergy needs and an exiting experience. Very friendly service by the sommelier. She proposed a very affordable but very well fitting wine to accompany the menu. The chef, who came to the table, did a great job. We will be back when coming to Palermo.

Real Michelin star cuisine. We enjoyed the food and the very friendly and professional maitre d', we would definitely go back.

Without mincing words I can only say that it is the best restaurant where I ate in Palermo. The service from professional and kind people was also excellent.

Incredibly thoughtful menu concept and perfectly executed dishes that represent the true culinary identity of this beautiful island and town. Focus on seasonal and regional ingredients and additionally, super knowledgeable and kind staff. Perfect foodie experience and highly recommended!

This was truly one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. Impeccable service from beginning to end. Every single bite was such a surprise. The ingredients were out of this world! I’ve eaten at many great places around the world and this one will go to the top for now! Thank you so much for an unforgettable evening! We will be back. Grazie!

Sono stata in questo ristorante con mio marito in occasione del nostro anniversario. Un'esperienza davvero piacevole ed unica. Abbiamo scelto il menù degustazione. Piatti buonissimi, un vero viaggio sensoriale nei vari gusti e nelle varie consistenze. Il mio piatto preferito in assoluto " Un manzo che ritorna vitello".. inspiegabile la "scioglievolezza" di questa carne! Per non parlare della pasta con le sarde.. fenomenale! Tutto sapientemente preparato dal giovane chef Gianfilippo Gatto e orgogliosamente presentato da Valentina. Due ragazzi molto preparati e che mettono passione in ciò che fanno. Complimenti!

What a great experience. We had the 8 course tasting menu. The room is lovely- the service was outstanding. Really interesting spin on traditional Sicilian cuisine. Also a very good wine pairing. Michelin star level. Grazie !

Absolutely superb from start to finish. I would travel back for the dining alone to Palermo. Bravo all .You have something really special. Assolutamente geniale dall'inizio alla fine. Ritornerei a cenare da solo a Palermo. Tutto bene. Hai qualcosa di veramente speciale.

Piacevole scoperta! La ragazza che seguiva i tavoli, davvero super preparata! Credo di non aver mai trovato qualcuno così pronto in tutto. Davvero, complimenti! Cibo ottimo, prezzo leggermente alto. Sapevamo cosa avremmo speso ma comunque per ciò che si ha mangiato, un po’ alto, ma fattibile! Per quanto riguarda invece la posizione, non ci è piaciuta. Sempre in centro ma zona non raccomandata!
