14/10/2025: Were there yesterday, had reserved via website 2 days in advance, no answer, then when we called it was clear they were only outside, it was ok. Service so-so, very inconsistent, the young waiter was very nice and helpful, when we asked why there was no reservation confirmation he said the email had probably ended up in the spam folder. When we ordered wine he said he only had one bottle left, but could give us a different wine, same winery, but cheaper. The food was very, very good, we only had to order the same thing each time, so one meat and one fish probably wouldn't work. But the food really was very, very fine. Unfortunately the kitchen seemed to have run out of energy at the Dolce. Once we got a tiramisu in a glass and once a cheesecake, better in every café, it was extremely unloving and very strange that everyone got something different. In conclusion: Yes, the food was very good, but nothing special, at 60 euros per menu I would have expected more, especially at the Dolce. No need to repeat it.

23/11/2025: Today Giorgio really put me on edge...CANNOLI OR SFINCIA...?!?!? Today my wife and I returned to Piana with the intention of enjoying Giorgio Clesceri's wonderful cannoli... As soon as we entered the simple and welcoming shop, after greeting Giorgio and his wife, I immediately and decisively asked Giorgio to fill a cannoli shell for me and... Just seeing, through the small window overlooking the shop's workshop, how much ricotta he was adding and how much was a real pleasure. In the meantime, my wife had been drawn to some SFINCIE and... realizing she was about to... betray... the cannoli to get the SFINCIA... I was shocked because once there, it's unacceptable for me not to enjoy the best cannoli I've ever eaten... we reached a compromise... We had it put on the menu and enjoyed it later. Well... after lunch, we opened the precious wrapping and cut that... ricotta hill in two... A SPECTACULAR!!!!!!!! The filling was soft and devoid of any fried aftertaste, and the ricotta, while superb as in the cannoli, was in industrial quantities inside and out... WHAT A TRAGEDY!!!!!!! NEXT TIME HOW WILL WE CHOOSE BETWEEN... SFINCIA AND CANNOLI???!!!!

25/10/2025: Small bakery in a tiny town but with great flavors and outstanding friendliness. Despite us not speaking Italian and the baker not speaking any English we communicated with friendly handgestures and smiles. Can highly recommend eating here. The drive through nature to town is worth it and so are the pastries

11/11/2025: Best doner kebab outside of Germany. Fresh ingredients, homemade fresh green falafel. My girlfriend and I immediately got a second one.

10/11/2025: Loved this place! Have been there half a dozen times over the past two weeks. Amazing prices, great taste, friendly couple running it. Often a line, but it goes fast, and an extra bit of wait is worth it. Most people get their sandwiches to go, but some regulars stand inside to chow down.

27/09/2025: Typical and welcoming place. Quick and friendly staff and service. Disappointing food. Sardine meatballs with a coarse and poorly mixed mixture, the sardines were not boned. Fried food was greasy and salty. Too bad.

We chose a menu entirely based on seafood, and every dish was a real treat: the freshest ingredients, exceptional quality, and generous portions. You can sense the attention and passion in every detail. Without a doubt, one of the best, if not the best, seafood restaurants in Catania. Highly recommended for anyone looking for an unforgettable dinner!

31/10/2025: Such a beautiful place. I was passing it by for countless times - that cozy interior really cought my eye, but finally visited only on our last evening in Naxos. And this was the perfect choice to finalize our wonderful 2 month-long trip around Sicily. I feel like in every review section of every restaurant ever you can find a comment saying "one of the best we had in Sicily", and here I am, repeating the same, plus, definitely the best I had in Naxos. The food was exceptional: fresh, juicy, really flavorsome - just on another level comparing to the average restaurant here near the seaside, however, on the same price range. Do not skip this place!
