18/12/2025: Puglia and Campania were our favorite destinations for a quick seaside getaway when we wandered the mountains to visit Padre Pio... And in Peschici, we managed to stay almost a week, at the Morcavallo. A hotel overlooking the sea, where practically the only barrier was the beach. I also spent a lot of time by the pool, before diving into that sky-blue sea; to the right of the promenade was a small marina that wasn't always crowded. The food at the hotel was very good; a beautiful, dusty lady, a regular guest who lived not far from Peschici, confirmed this to us. She told us that she spent up to two months at the hotel and that she wasn't originally from Puglia. She had moved near San Giovanni Rotondo with her husband, a great friend of Saint Pio, even before the friar became famous in Italy and throughout the world, and to whom they remained devoted forever. The kind lady, now a widow for some time, was astonished when she learned where we were from: her sister, who lived in the same town as us, had married one of our fellow citizens in the 1950s, a well-known local farmer and former mayor. We kept each other company for the rest of our stay, and she told us wonderful things... The owner of the Morcavallo confounded us by saying he also owned a hotel in San Giovanni Rotondo, on the avenue leading to the Sanctuary.

07/10/2025: The location was good, but the room was very spartanly furnished. The breakfast was disappointing, with few fresh options. For me, the hotel isn't worthy of a four-star rating.

01/12/2025: The place is well-maintained, simple, and above all clean. Excellent pizza, even the gluten-free one is excellent. I'll gladly return.

12/11/2025: I got carried away by the reviews, but I was very disappointed. I didn't like the pizza at all, and yet they asked me if everything was okay. If a customer leaves food on their plate, I'd ask what they didn't like, since they left almost the entire pizza. The baked caciocavallo was good.

21/01/2026: A group of friends. The positive aspect is definitely the food: the pizza is good, as are the fried appetizers. However, the overall experience was marred by service management that definitely needs rethinking. ​Despite being practically the only customers at around 9:30 PM, For a table of 8, upon our first request, we were only served two sachets of sauce. We had to insist on one each. One of the pizzas was labeled coppa, but it was served with mortadella without any warning. There were problems with payment: despite the waitress confirming at the table that we could pay separately, when we went to pay at the cash register, we were refused payment. The reason given (excessive fees for electronic payments) was deemed unprofessional, forcing one of us to pay the full amount for everyone, since we didn't all have the exact amount of cash. ​In short: the ingredients are there and they are good, but customer service and organization are fundamental aspects that are currently lacking. I hope they can improve, because the pizza is worth it.

12/12/2025: We're truly lucky to have this pizzeria close to home... The atmosphere is welcoming and family-friendly, thanks in part to the friendly and genuine owner, who always welcomes you with a smile and a kind word. But the real star is the pizza: truly, truly excellent. The dough is incredibly light, long-rising, easy to digest, and fragrant. The ingredients are clearly of the highest quality, fresh and carefully selected, and you can taste it in every bite. A place to return to often.

24/06/2026: Out of the ordinary, everything is delicious, from the pizzeria, which is the No. 1 grilled food, the best you can find in Foggia. Don't waste your time, wander around Foggia, choose No. 1, choose Arnold's. You'll be satisfied with the food, the hospitality, and the overall feeling of well-being.

23/06/2026: Top!!!! I highly recommend it.....Excellent pizza. The staff is professional, kind, and extremely friendly. It's just a shame it's in Foggia. If it were in Rome, I'd definitely be a regular! WELL DONE!

31/08/2025: A pleasant, satisfying, and positive vacation. The staff was competent and helpful, with the kindness and friendliness of the owner, Katia, and the entire residence staff. Excellent fresh fish dishes made with the highest-quality ingredients and prepared with attention to detail. Excellent room cleaning service. A quiet location surrounded by nature, not far from the sea.

21/08/2025: Excellent hotel residence with a few flaws that could be resolved with maintenance and small improvements. It has potential. We had a good time. Breakfast could be improved, as it only offers repetitive desserts and no savory options at all. The restaurant is ok. Thanks to Luana and Denise, who manage the dining room well, considering their young age. Antonio's cabaret evening was lovely.

31/01/2026: A perfect stop at Ristoro degli Angeli, right near Monte Sant'Angelo Castle and ample parking, is a great option after visiting the village. The restaurant is spacious and welcoming, with a simple, friendly atmosphere. The cuisine offers well-prepared and authentic Apulian dishes: we appreciated the authentic flavors, generous portions, and excellent quality. The staff, especially the very kind Maria Pia, was invaluable and available to offer advice, making the experience even more enjoyable. Excellent value for money. 10/06/2026: From the top of the site, you can enjoy a view all the way to the Tavoliere. The dishes and service are simple. The atmosphere is discreet. Revisited a few weeks ago, completely renovated, with many spaces, both inside and outside. We only had a coffee, hoping to find, on Saturdays and Sundays, the only days open (reservations required for groups, even during the week), the menus offered at €45.00.

16/06/2026: Great atmosphere, we were there for a meal and received very friendly service and delicious food, good value for money, I had a spigole (sea bass), you sit under pine trees and immediately feel like you've arrived in Italy…

24/02/2026: What can I say? I found angels. I celebrated my daughter's first birthday in the Great Hall, a spacious, beautiful, and elegant room, complete with bright decorations and a dessert cart. Despite the chilly evening, we were warm and very comfortable. Veronica, the owner of the venue, is a very kind and delightful person, and I want to point out that, since I decided to create the decor myself, she helped me with so many things, even seeing me struggling, with a big smile (we know that's not for everyone). My guests gave me so many compliments on my choice of venue. And we had a truly special evening. I highly recommend this venue for any type of party.

21/01/2026: A wonderful place, I won't return. The pizza is so bad that, out of respect for the true Neapolitan pizza, the name should be changed on the menu; it's an insult to call it Pizza. It's better if they close the oven; it's not their art. For Apulian dishes, the food is reheated and doesn't taste fresh. We recommend dining elsewhere. Anyone who appreciates your pizza is probably from the North and doesn't understand anything about pizza.

15/12/2025: A simple, spartan yet absolutely authentic atmosphere: one of those osterias where what really counts is what's on the plate. The quality-price ratio is excellent, and every course confirms your choice. The bruschetta in oil is a must-try, truly sublime, as are the flavorful and carefully prepared first courses. The menu is quite varied and includes typical local dishes, appetizers, first courses, second courses, and even pizzas, also available for takeout. Everything is well-made, tasty, and very reasonably priced. It's an ideal place for both lunch and dinner, perfect for those who want to eat well in a quiet, family-run environment. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and immediately puts you at ease. The food is good and the drinks even better, in a genuine and convivial atmosphere. Important note: they don't accept debit or credit cards, so it's best to bring cash. Don't miss the lady's homemade mandarinetto: a real treat that ends the meal in the best possible way.
