14/09/2025: We stayed here at the end of April 2025. Despite arriving very late, the owner seated us without any hassle. We ate exquisite meat, samphire, and surprising, sophisticated desserts. As if that weren't enough, we were amazed not only by the quality of the food but also by the extremely reasonable price. An unexpected and fantastic discovery. We've now returned to Gargano on vacation, and our first thought upon arrival was: on Wednesday, we'll be back in Vico del Garda at the Giulio Cesare grill!

07/09/2025: This year, we were disappointed compared to the past. The meat is always excellent, but the wait is incredibly long, difficult to manage when you have children. The platter of cured meats and cheeses was truly meager, therefore very expensive in terms of quantity/price. When the platter with the meat we chose finally arrived (for 7 people), the accompanying side dish, which was included, consisted of only two sliced ​​potatoes (not even two potato slices per person). The price was too high for what we ate.

21/07/2026: AMARIS IN FUNDO Seafood appetizer and two pizzas. If I'd stopped there, the review would have been excellent. Unfortunately, I had the ill-advised idea of ​​ordering dessert at the end of the meal. Among the items listed, in addition to Tommasino's ice creams, which, being packaged, have no hidden surprises, there was the profiteroles. I ordered them to share with my wife. They were two miserable, half-melted balls (I suspect they were leftovers from the party in the adjacent room, but I can't swear to that) that gave us a fit of diarrhea. They also offered me amaro and coffee. The amaro, half of it, wasn't even offered, and neither were the coffees. Fair enough, you can't expect things to be offered free of charge, but at least give me the whole one. Summary: A bit of a disappointment compared to how I remembered it when I went there with my father. It's a shame because, as I said at the beginning, the seafood appetizer was good and the pizza excellent. Unfortunately, the end of the meal, besides ruining the dinner, also ruined the night and the following morning.

01/08/2026: I ordered home delivery, which arrived perfectly on time. The food was cooked to perfection; despite being transported, it retained its heat perfectly, and it was simply delicious. The pizza dough was light and the ingredients were clearly top-quality. Definitely worth a try. Not to mention the kindness of the person who delivered the food! I was truly satisfied, congratulations. I will definitely be back.

22/01/2026: The focus on lactose-free options was excellent, but the main courses were disappointing. I visited Dispensa in Foggia, curious about this new place for me, having not lived in the city for years. The experience was a mix of positives and decidedly subdued aspects. The caramel and salted peanut cheesecake deserves a special mention: finding a lactose-free dessert this good is not a given, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The patatas bravas with peel and rosemary were also very good. The other courses, however, disappointed me: Scrocchiarella: being intolerant, I asked for the burrata to be removed and if it could be replaced with something else, but I was told there was nothing available. I felt like I'd put the person taking the order on the spot, and while it was a nice idea, without an alternative, the final taste was a bit bland. Tuna tataki: the plating is nice, but the corn-crusted breading was so overpowering that it completely covered the flavor of the tuna. A shame, because I was excited to try it. Fassona beef tartare: the sorest point. I'm used to bright red tartare; this one was dull (I've attached a photo), and the flavor was covered by the tomato crumble. I wasn't convinced by either the perceived freshness or the quality of the meat, which seemed almost camouflaged by the breading. Overall, the concept of the place is very nice, but for the price (including a €4 amaro), I expected a more refined balance of flavors and more prominent ingredients. I hope this provides useful feedback for improvement.
